  1. Let’s hope this doesn’t turn out to be Melbourne today.
  2. Nah that’s a bit different story. I’ve misunderstood what you were saying. In that instance it should be a throw in. I didn’t see the footage of what you’re talking about.
  3. If you’re taking a kick outside the boundary line, you can play on, or switch the kick. You don’t have to kick the ball directly over the mark. Is that what you mean? But if you do play on outside the boundary line and Then hesitate while being outside the boundary line, then it should be thrown in. If you play and commit to it, without hesitation then it’s play on.
  4. Correct me if I’m wrong but during that period in 2018 didn’t he start on a wing regularly to get himself into the game and then after about 5-10 he’d go forward. It could be worth swapping Tomlinson to the forward line them rotate after the first 5 mins. I feel if he gets a bit of the ball early he generally plays pretty well.

  6. You said stats don’t lie about him being overrated. I’m just showing you an article to show you he’s not. Lever is an intercept player. He led the league at that point in intercept marks. Even in 2016 he was up there in the top few and that was his second year of footy. 2017 was even better and he was only 21 then. He’s only just turned 24 now. Give him and the back line a few games together before making comments like that.
  7. Haha. Clearly not going by this article. Have a read and educate yourself. Remember this article was in 2017. His last year with the crows in which he played a pivotal role in them making it to the Grand Final and why we paid what we did. https://www.afl.com.au/news/121080/why-are-clubs-so-keen-to-lure-jake-lever
  8. C’mon. They guy was one of the best intercept players in the game before injuries struck. Even before we went down in 2018 he was starting to his his straps. He won’t be able to play his role effectively until the mids and forwards apply pressure up the ground. After 1/4 we got killed in those areas. They smacked us in clearances, and at every marking contest going forward, it was a Carlton player first back to the contest to get the ground ball.
  9. Brown I would’ve thought. He was average against West Coast
  10. Yep. Especially the comment about the fact that Burgess would know more than he would. Either way, I trust whatever Burgess decides to do.
  11. I think you’re correct Joeboy. I was of the belief they flew over on the same plane the freo players flew back on. And then fly back after the game.
  12. Definitely pulled on the heart strings
  13. Sorry to go slightly off topic, but when are they likely to make a decision on the captaincy? Is it when they get back from camp, or a couple of games into the pre season? Anyone heard anything?
  14. Detroit Lions fan here and massive NFL fan. Love the game. Late last year I went to Detroit and Chicago Bears game on Thanksgiving Day. Man, Ford Field is an amazing stadium, 2 days later went to Michigan vs Ohio State at the Bighouse. Over 112,000 people and then A few weeks later went and saw the Pats play the Bills at Foxboro in week 16. In each game you don’t sit down for the entire game. The atmosphere is unbelievable but it’s totally different to a game here. It’s unbelievable the turnaround the 49ers have achieved in the space of 12 months but they were ready to explode. Nick Bosa is an absolute animal and a generational talent. I just hope Chase Young falls to 3 for the Lions to grab him but I’m not holding much hope. I’m picking the 49ers to win but hoping the Chiefs get up as it’s been so long for them. It’ll be a cracking game.
  15. One word: Idiot
  16. Get back in your lane mate.
  17. Haha beat me to it. Thought the exact same thing when I saw the thread.
  18. As much as I can’t stand Derrwayne he is well connected to people in Geelong, so I reckon there is merit here.
  19. Are you suggesting he’s only had one head knock which is causing him to miss this amount of time?
  20. That’s what no pre season does to ya. He and many others just haven’t got going. 2 years ago before the foot blew up we were talking about him winning the Brownlow. He was influential, tough and racking them up. The final wins we had last year demonstrated how important he is when in form. Let’s wait and see after he gets a full preseason in and then judge him.
  21. Go and hide mate, coz after a comment like that this place isn’t going to be good for you mentally.
  22. In the forward line. Where the ball hasn’t been. Dont you even think about start laying into him.
  23. He’s been reading d’land.
  24. Selective reading my friend? I’d suggest you read EXACTLY what Nudge said, then comment.
