Wholesale changes for next week

Agree in the 3rd and a bit of the 4th he found some ball, but overall he was beaten by his opponent and his direct opponent kicked 3 goals in like the first 10 minutes. I disagree with people saying Bartram should be dropped, he gives 100%. I was really disapointed watching JMAC. I love the guy but he didn't give 2 shits. How was it when he kicked across goal in front of the members, ball was turned over and he just stood there with his hands on his knees until they kicked a goal, it took about 20 seconds from the turnover for them to score, he could have got their to at least put a bit more pressure on. Newton really struggled, despite being a great tease with another piece of Juice (the goal), he was crap. A strange yet amazing fact over this season is that Valenti and CJ are almost our best players in the team. Very weird yesterday to rather someone kick it to CJ over Bruce. The defence tried hard all day and I liked Warnocks effort, apart from that dropped mark. It was a bad game, it was cold, boring, cold, poor skills, cold and im probably going to get sick which sucks because I have no sick leave left. Onto the changes for next week. OUT: Bell, Newton IN: Green, Wonaeamirri -
Why do people want to finish last, id be happy with Watts or Naita, try and win, no one wants to be the shittest team.... do you?
-
He won't play. Garland, Warnock and Martin all deserve their spot. Why would you bring in Carroll? No need and Bailey won't do it. Good idea lets drop the nucleus for the next 10 years for chopper. Or better yet, squeeze him in by dropping someone like Wona, Morton or CJ. Who cares if building those young guys to understand each other so we are prepared for the next 10 years.
-
Or alternatively play them both an dwhat the Kangas defence squirm against 3 extremely skillful small forwards in Wonna, Maric and Sylvs. Plus having to deal with Miller. I like our forward line.
-
Not really, he is on the bench. He won't play.
-
Luckily, CJ has evolved from that. But I do remember saying that despite all my belief over his career he will never make it. I forgave him about 3 days later and was on his bandwagon again. Thank god my faith is finally slowly paying off.

Grimesy..... I am a fan of Carroll, actually do rate him even though he is not stellar and is undisciplined. But are you honestly trying to make an argument for him to be 3rd tall with Garland, Warnock and Martin already down back? None of them deserve to be dropped, Carroll can not play on the 4th tallest oppossotion forward and just cause he has gone to half forward in the VFL does not mean he can play any driving game in the AFL, sorry but the talent difference is HUGE between leagues. Carroll is the wrong side of 25. We have Garland, best 22, Warnock, best 22, Martin fast proving to be best 22. Rivers and Frawley are going to find it hard so how in the blue hell will a 27 year old, undisciplined, not entirely skilled KPB get a spot? Granted if Marting, Warnock or Garland have 3 shockers in a row he might get a go, but even then, Frawls will prob get the nod because of his age. Pains me to say because I do love chopper, he is a legend, but does not fit in this young side.

Bartram - Is getting better Bate - Lazy at times Bell - Really don't rate Bruce - Alot of ball Buckley - Deserving of spot Dunn - People doubted him? Garland - I doubted him? Green - Another great game Jamar - Best form of career C. Johnson - I never doubted P. Johnson - Didnt do much Jones- Tried but limited Martin - Stefan, great game Miller - Best season yet Morton - Deserves his spot Newton - Could be a star Sylvia - His worst for the year Warnock - Solid as usual Wheatley - His worst of year Whelan - Spear, Spear, Spear Valenti - Best game yet
-
Im confused. Newton had a fair few one percenters today. I think that is what we all looked at the most.... and it was good, if he could kick a bit better he would have had 4 goals and would be the saviour, I can see an amazing player just ready to hit the radar. I actually never used to rate him that much, especially last season. But he is an amazing mark, 4 contested and 8 for the day. Persist for the season and beyond.
-
I liked him today. Saw him chase on many occasions, took some great marks. We would all be going crazy if he kicked straight, would have had 3 or 4 goals. Bulldogs supporter asked me about him, said he looked liked he could be a superstar with his marking ability. Just got to work on his kicking.

I would say Minson is surely the match up for Martin? They are going into this game with Street, Minson and Hudson. Martin will be very valuable for us.
-
I would expect the bench to read the below. Interchange from: D.Bell, J.Bode, N.Carroll, S.Martin, M.Newton , S.Valenti, J.White

VIC Metro vs WA on Fox Sports - Wednesday July 9th

Do we really want to be Richmond? Hearing people say I can't believe they took player X over Naitanui? Judging him from 1 game on here is stupid. There is a reason he is the touted top pick. -

Prendagast on the top 3. I just think Naita will be number 1. PRENDERGAST ON … 1. Nick Naitanui “He’s in the top three. There’s no question about that. He’s got some chinks in his armour in terms of understanding the game and learning about the game, but the feedback is he’s very coachable and he’s learning. He’s not going to walk straight in and go ‘Bang, here I am, I am an AFL footballer’, but his amazing athleticism is not something we’ve seen on a footy field a lot.” 2. Jack Watts “He’s got great acceleration and speed and lateral movement. He’s a developing power forward who reads the ball well in the air. We haven’t seen him lead up and outwork his opponents that much, but that is the way Vic Metro has set up.” 3. Daniel Rich “He’s been tagged a couple of times in this carnival, but he’s an elite midfield player. I think he’s got good pace and is explosive. I’m sure he would have been taken high last year had he been eligible.” -

I love all the knowledge in this thread. People who actually think an AFL coach won't be able to teach Naitanui the things he struggled with are clueless. If Bailey cannot do that then he is not earning his money at all and should be let go, his job is to teach young players how to play AFL footy. Naitanui has all the potential in the world, he is an incredible athlete, as was Garland, I remeber saying he just isn't a footballer and looked lost. Bailey took his time, taught him the play and 2 months later he is our most important backmen. I put faith in Bailey to teach this possible superstar. Watts will be a great player and could be a CHF, but so could Morton. But to be honest, I am happy to say lets try and win as many games as possible because I would be ecstatic with Rich, Watts or Nait. All are deserving of pick 1. Can't wait for draft day. -

Mate, he truely dominated the ruck in a way ive never seen. Rich must have got 10 balls knocked directly to him, down his throaght. He hits to advantage. Nothing like White, just because he covers ground doesn't mean he is White? I actually think he still may be developed to be a CHF in the AFL. Watts is great. Rich is a gun. Naitanui will be the best of them in the long run, people say he looked lost.... well he has barely played footy, an AFL coach is paid so much for a reason, he will teach him all those things. I remember people saying Garland looked lost, hell I did. He has been coached well and look at him, this guy could be one of the best. -

My mind is made up. Don't know what pick we will get but this will be top 6 I reckon. 1. Natanui (more to grow, but his speed and ruckwork are outstanding. An AFL coach will teach him what he needs, will be a SUPERstar) 2. Rich (ready made player, will be playing round 1 next year) 3. Watts (Wish we could get him as well as Naitanui. Any top 3 pick will be extremely welcome) 4. Hurley (could get pushed lower on draft day due to being a full back, but will be a good, reliable player) 5. Hartlett (alot of skill, just gets the ball) 6. Yarran (alot of skill, I actually rated a few other boys higher from todays effort but I don't know how consistent Zaharkaras/Banner/Wallace etc are) But to sum up, I want Naitanui even more than I did. All I could think today was jesus give this kid a pre-season of skills work and your looking at a champion. -
B&F winner: Brad Green Season Underachiever: Adem Yze (I expected at least something!) Best First Year Player: Wonaeamirri Best Clubman: Brad Miller Final Position: 16th Number One pick: Watts or Natanui/depends on Warnock (happy either way but will make up my mind tonight) Delistings: Weetra, Carroll Retiring: Neitz, Yze, Holland, White. Trade: Bell 7 out, Wona elevated, 5 National draft picks and pre-draft pick (hopefully Warnock or Prismall....) We may also elevate Valenti and unload someone like Bode.

I would like him to sign up on demonland and give us a brief message of, [censored] off none of you know me and what im thinking so stop judging.

Melbourne v Sydney - unofficial match report
Demons 32 replied to grazman's topic in Melbourne Demons
6 - Bate - actually kicked some goals which ive been wanting to see. 5 - Green - a touch of class. 4 - CJ - Loving CJ 3 - PJ - Great 2nd half 2 - Dunn - Did hios job and got some ball 1 - Wheatley - Another strong performance -
There is a serious strength difference between Whelan and those 2. Small doesn't always mean height, as you said, he plays small, need someone who can run with him but will show some strength in marking contests.
