  1. Does either Sydney or Melbourne have a particular advantage due to the field geometry, relative to the SCG/MCG and will this be a factor? Does it enhance or make our tactics more difficult to execute?
  2. Whether he gets up or not, the doubt in the opposition would be palpable. Imagine if the Dees could announce a full list to select from going in to finals!
  3. Didn’t he lure Bernie Vince to us? Which kick started the whole thing?
  4. Good point, might have got ahead of myself there…
  5. Compared to back then, a few of those Swans have elevated in performance.. I think this will be a massive challenge to set up the rest of the finals. This won’t be easy…
  6. That’s a good question, where is he these days?
  7. I agree with most of your post, but if this year is any example, home or away should flatten out over time you’d think. But I agree with the complexity for making more successful teams battle it out without the crystal ball.
  8. It’s weird, I don’t hate Geelong per se, but I hate their coach, so ultimately hate Geelong…! (Same theory goes for Bulldogs) Collingwood on the other hand, well, that’s just purely engrained, that, and Cox’s glasses… 🤣
  9. It will be interesting to see if injuries and attrition has something to do with shaping the games ahead. Hope Geelong and. Collingwood destroy each other!
  10. I reallY liked how hard players who lost the marking contest made Brisbane earn the mark, they were on them like a rash! It really set up doubt for those who might have thought that they were in space, totally won the mental battle with sustained physical efforts
  11. Haha.. never going to happen, it’s genetics!!!
  12. Can you imagine the cheer when TMAC finally gets to run on the field, this year?
  13. Late game ANB really stood up because no one could run with him, he set up a few nice plays, he’s key for the late stages, as a benchman or on the field, I’m happy either way
  14. Tracy being so unselfish was excellent, maturity is growing for the lads
  15. Tbh everyone has the right to share their views, we’ve all encountered MFCSS at some point in time. Positive or negative, hopeful or cautious, it just shows that our current form is not as confidence inspiring. Nevertheless, I couldn’t believe how tight the table looks right now.. this will be a big week in footy!
  16. Agree but if the season was shorter for 1 game against each team, then you could throw State of Origin back into the mix
  17. I’m keeping low expectations so that I might be surprised…
  18. Hang on hang on, guys and gals, I’m trying to play catch-ups… did he actually get off???!!! WTF???!!!
  19. Was an epic performance for his farewell game
  20. Sometimes the recent past is worth reviewing to take note of any lessons. Just wondering if Richmond struggled in their back to back year, were they ‘hunted’ like we are currently and if so, any ideas how they overcome it? Are there any other parallels that we can draw from?
  21. To me this is really a non-issue, let the players pipe up and make statements that get us invested into the game. At the end of the day, the on field performance has the last say. Players are human, not media robots.. “we were up against a quality opposition”, “we really respect them”, “they really challenged us in the 1st quarter”… how about, “we’d love to [censored] these a$$holes, they beat us twice this year now”, “we’ve got JH’s number in our sights” and, “if Cox even thinks of looking at Gawny the wrong way with those ridiculous shades, then look out!”
  22. A week is a long time in footy.. especially the long break after a loss..
  23. I actually like the DL tradition of gaining a sense of the oppos headspace pre-game. I think it’s usually named “What they’re saying down at X street” but either way, thanks for posting it lads!
