NON-MFC: Round 11
We had massive opportunities to bury those ppricks from Glenferrie. No star power whatsoever. Bunch of rejects from other clubs put together, real social media, content creator type false alarmers.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
He will be great breaking down the video edits for the coaches. Also pleasing to see that Jeff is in agreement with me in keeping Disco down back. It's imperative he is locked in down back for our defensive balance and overall team balance, especially when the balls is in dispute on the ground This maintains 4 of our defenders that are excellent in ground ball situations, i.e Juddy, Salem, Bowser and Disco. Plus it provides extra flexibility for Disco to playing on talls, hybrids and smalls. This allow our 2 two marking talls (May and McDonald) that aren't that great below the knees not to be outnumbered by smalls and hybrid fwds. I don't think May, Lever and McDonald works as this lessens our strength of mopping up the ground ball defensively by going with 3 Talls not great on the deck and 3 smalls good below knee level. This part of our game has been one of our biggest weaknesses in the last 2 years since Hibberd and Gus retired. It's now has become a strength again let's not break up a strength again by shifting Disco forward. By the way lets lock Kalani in at the Dees, Jeff's invested big time in all things MFC.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
I got my figures from footywire, i presume these are from the AFL site? apologies if they are slightly out. Either way we have to improve this part of our game pronto.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
If we're gonna make a fist of this season We are going to have to be near 85-90% of our capacity playing wise. somehow our conversion rate has got to lift big time. We are generating shots on goal which is great, but it can all turn sour with our conversion. We should be aiming for 55-60 percent every week, on Sunday it was at 48.3% Brisbane's was at 56.5% Over the entire season our conversion average is 47.2% this part of our game must improve lads, Chocco what are we paying you for.

Dees $101 for the flag, into Gawn $51 for the Brownlow, into Langford $7 for the rising star. Could we, could we?

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
I think we have the right balance in defence as it sits at the moment. I think Disco's move back into the backline has been a masterstroke on my fronts. Disco has the ability to take a pack mark, has closing speed to effect the spoil, has great agility and most importantly is strong on the ground when the ball hits the deck. I think we become too top heavy with May, Lever and McDonald as the 3 talls i believe one of them should be good below the knees and when the ball spills onto the ground. But I can see the temptation to bring Rick back in for his tactical nous and ability to organise our back 6 to shift across into position and press high to give us field advantage.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
We look better with AJ in our side relief rucking for Max and that allows Petty and Melk to stay dangerous for us. Only change I'd contemplate for Sydney is Viney in and Sharp out.

Friggen Hawthorn game, had them by the nurries and let go of them in the last qtr. We still didn't kick straight at times but never stopped applying pressure. Hope the boys can kick on after this performance.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
Gawn loves keeping fit cycling, running etc. if the Jacko trade works out for us there is no reason he can't play till he's 38.

Those were the days what a ride 17 games in a row! That was the day it all fell apart with Tmac going down for the year.

Reasons for our Inaccuracy?
It's actually not a bad idea, 2 extra posts 2 meters apart in-between the existing goal posts. Get them kicking in between them watch the goal conversion percentage lift, I'd be shocked if this hasn't happened before.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Love the energy @Adam The God we just haven't had consistency throughout the pre season. The messaging and vibe wasn't positive, stories floating around about players being unhappy, injuries have hampered us and our fwd line mix has been all over the place. We make the easy look very hard when it comes to finishing off our good work and it's starting to have a detrimental effect on our team. Case in point against the Hawks, we had them on the rack for 3 quarters and let these little up starts walk away with it. We have needed to improve our squad year in year out this hasn't happened for 4 years, it's why we are in this current predicament. While there are some great signs with our young brigade coming through, its not all doom and gloom. Some of the senior players have seemingly lost their way i.e Trac, Clarry, Fritta, Salem and May We need to trade this year, we need to trade this year, not fugging scrubbers either like Shaq, Billo, Dunstan,Hunter etc. If its a Derksen or a Leek that are hungry young players under 25 we need to get them in to improve our current squad. Trade currency is essential in this draft before this Tassie team come in and eat everything up, this is the year to do it. Whether it be one of Fritta, Clarry, Trac unfortunately one of them have to go. If Jacko wants back in we need capital from somewhere, do we really want to give up Kozzie going the other way? I say no as there is other ways to get it done but it might come down to this. We've let go of our 1st rounder I'm OK with that (at the moment ๐) We drafted in Langford and Lindsay who will be 200 gamers for us excellent drafting which has been our strong point. We need to find our next premiership mix, if players don't want to be here fugg them off for the right compensation and thank you for your contribution. We start finding out now who wants to stay and who wants to go. We can't go through another off season like the one we've just had. Conversations need to start taking place as we are losing members by the thousands do we really want this trend to continue? Get friggen cracking Dees, get back on track. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐14
