  1. They stole all our IP after 2021. Now there staring at another flag after 2022.
  2. The truth will come out one way or another. Steven King either blew the selection panel away out of sight with his presentation and was always the clubs 1st pick or other factors were at play. It sounds like Bucks was hedging his bets with Tassy and the MFC and may have not been the panels preferred choice. Steven Smith has then come off the top rope and said were not holding out any longer for you Nathan to present your final input to the club. Now quietly jog on Naif.
  3. He got talked out of it! That's ok, he's in for alot of pain with Tassie.
  4. Im just glad the club didn't fall for that dweeb James Kelly. Arrogant little sod.
  5. Well what do you know the incoming coach would like his own team around him. I guess that's a thank you and good bye to Selwyn.
  6. How far down the road were we in term of talking to him? Months? We couldn't add another couple of years and match the cash for a 22 year old? We gave Viney 4 years as a 30 year old. Why have we become so ch it at negotiating? at one point that was our strong suit.
  7. Clear someone out and get Marcus in.
  8. That's what new coaches do @jumbo returns they sort ch it out!
  9. The only legitimate way Tracc was out the door was through the Hawks. This looks to be shut with Merrett sniffing around Hawforn with his management but this could also be a smoke screen. Clarry and Tracc have been awfully quiet this off season but looked quite chuffed to be on stage accepting their life memberships last night.
  10. I hate to rain on your parade @john delosa but May and Lever are both past their best and shouldn't be in the starting 22 next year. The new coach will sort all this mess out, no more free rides for favourites you got to earn your keep in 26.
  11. He's might have pulled out knowing he's out of his depth.
  12. They might be available @binman I've got no idea who NB wants or who ever gets the gig but they'd want some one who they trust and they have a background on. I know if I was in that position I'd be bring in my own people in the specific fields I believe are important in building a successful program. A fitness guru would be top of my list.
  13. It didn't work after R8 then they went to a break and signal had been down since.
  14. Who won? Gawny was winning after R8.
  15. If he's out of contract then its curtains for him. Any new coach with any sort of experience will be bringing in his own fitness gurus.
  16. These are the shrewd bits of business we have to conduct to work our way back into finals contention. We have to get creative and think outside the box atm. We just don't have world class facilities or wadds off cash to offer prospective recruits. Look at the state leagues in particularly the SANFL Billy Cootee midfielder and a couple of dashing half back/back pocket types floating around at Norwood worth a good hard look at.
  17. Should have been in 5 years ago. As a regular viewer of the SANFL over the years I would say it's been one of the best rule changes I have seen in the game of Aussie rules. Long overdue. Has worked wonders in the SANFL and just cuts out all the BS with a deliberate handball or kick to the boundary line. The crowd know instantly that is the rule and cuts out all the immediate frustration in the crowd and one less thing for the umps to worry about. If the ball is spoiled over the line or a player is tackle over the line then it is thrown back in like normal. If it is parried over the line in a deliberate motion or a player takes it over then it is a free kick like normal. Simples.
  18. We couldn't get any across because we didn't and couldn't offer St.Kilda like coin to get them across.
  19. There is a player named Billy Cootee for Norwood who might be of interest to us. Was on Essendon's list I think. Quick, great ball user, smart, has composure etc..... Also another couple that might be of interest. Having watched both game the intensity of the Norwood v Crows reserves is a couple of gears higher than what I saw in the Casey v Frankston clash. I would suggest our recruitment team head out and watch them closely. Into a Prelim v Sturt/Glenelg.
  20. Who are the players getting cut? Fullerton looked liked one of them. Verrall looked like one. Billings? Others?
  21. Maybe the world would be a better place if their Dad's used Frangas. 😂😂😂😂
  22. Totally agree mate. The club have had a quiet word to NB about the role. Club doing its due diligence in about conducting a process to see if any prospects can bring anything fresh and new to the table. If not then its NB's gig. He ticks the boxes and the main one he is hungry for success which i like, brings a profile and aura with him, we need that as a club. He can handle the big dogs (egos) in our team also.
  23. I had too @Ghostwriter This is weeing me right off!
  24. Seeing what the Ferals are doing is why im missed off with the downfall of our club since that premiership and the departure of Burgess we've never improved. We smashed this club physically and mentally they improved took our IP from that little snitch Byrnes and now look at them. Whilst we self imploded and had the clowns running the asylum year on year until it the dam wall burst at the end of last year. Smithy, Guerra and the new incoming coach straighten us back up and guide us in the right direction. All starts with the lads at Casey.
  25. Adelaide's biggest weakness is their midfield. You can paper over it in the minor rounds but in finals when the bigger bodies are needed around stoppages they've been found wanting in a big way. Riley O Brien is very one dimensional, he will give you limited access in the middle and gives you nothing around the ground. Once that access is taken away from you in the middle, you're in no man's land. Their midfield mix got bullied by Filth's experience campaigners Dawson, Berry, Peatling, Cumming, Soligo and Rankin ain't getting it done in the big games. The heat got applied to them and they wilted on the big stage. Rankin was a big miss for them granted but I believe they are a quality ruckman and a stoppage king away from unlocking the game. Would explain the reason why they went hard for Milera and in the mix for Sam Draper. Until then I cant see them threatening a GF even with all those quality talls either end of the ground.
