Love the energy @Adam The God we just haven't had consistency throughout the pre season. The messaging and vibe wasn't positive, stories floating around about players being unhappy, injuries have hampered us and our fwd line mix has been all over the place. We make the easy look very hard when it comes to finishing off our good work and it's starting to have a detrimental effect on our team. Case in point against the Hawks, we had them on the rack for 3 quarters and let these little up starts walk away with it. We have needed to improve our squad year in year out this hasn't happened for 4 years, it's why we are in this current predicament. While there are some great signs with our young brigade coming through, its not all doom and gloom. Some of the senior players have seemingly lost their way i.e Trac, Clarry, Fritta, Salem and May We need to trade this year, we need to trade this year, not fugging scrubbers either like Shaq, Billo, Dunstan,Hunter etc. If its a Derksen or a Leek that are hungry young players under 25 we need to get them in to improve our current squad. Trade currency is essential in this draft before this Tassie team come in and eat everything up, this is the year to do it. Whether it be one of Fritta, Clarry, Trac unfortunately one of them have to go. If Jacko wants back in we need capital from somewhere, do we really want to give up Kozzie going the other way? I say no as there is other ways to get it done but it might come down to this. We've let go of our 1st rounder I'm OK with that (at the moment 😂) We drafted in Langford and Lindsay who will be 200 gamers for us excellent drafting which has been our strong point. We need to find our next premiership mix, if players don't want to be here fugg them off for the right compensation and thank you for your contribution. We start finding out now who wants to stay and who wants to go. We can't go through another off season like the one we've just had. The season for finals is over we need to find out what squad players we have in stock. We know Disco has it we need to find out if Jeffo has it and other down at Casey. We need to start planning for 2026 and beyond.

As bad as Jeffo is at the minute the kid needs games. Just play him till the end of the season. Does it really matter if it means we lose 2 or 3 games less and end up with 7-9 wins compared to 9-11 wins. I'd play him with Petty and Melk so at least we have one strong focal point in our attack. Melk can negate Andrews types and Jeffo just keep learing your leading patterns and keep developing you competitives in and around the Fwd line. We are not in premiership contention anymore.

My apologies @Colm I mean't the bottom of the top 8 (6 to 10) they don't have the weapons against the top brass to be in a prelim and beyond.

I wouldn't go using Whorethorn as an example of good trading they are a bottom 8 team and nothing else. Barrass and Battle are not stellar Backman by any stretch of the imagination and won't get it done when the whips are cracking. Meek average battler, Ginnivan one trick pony with his dropping off the knees. I will give credit with Amon and D'Ambrosio excellent kicks of the ball and can split defences open. They have major strength the Dorks and that is there ball movement by foot but in finals teams they rely on this alone get found out with elite finals pressure. you stifle that strength and they are any easy team to beat. They played against a team on the weekend with average forward cohesion, average tall targets that dont compete and don't take marks I50 well and were well beaten everywhere but on the scoreboard.

We will never attract anyone of note training out of Casey and then Gosch's for a captain's run. Our main oval has an accompanying shelter at Gosch's for the players and coaches to place our equipment bags and players joggers under. Does that scream out world class facilities to a potential recruit on top of his wages? This is a major reason we can't recruit quality players.
