Jake Melksham returning
If you can't get around this story, then you don't have a heart. It's a long shot but I've always backed the underdog with It's back against the wall. If this comeback gains momentum it will be an off the charts type spiritual awakening for the club and the man they call Jake the Snake. π€πππ«Άβ₯οΈ

R.I.P Clyde, it's one hell of a record you have had over the journey. Rest well.

Trade Targets
It would be amateur hour if our club aren't aggots deep into these two prospects. I'd offer Waterman 800k over 5 years If that's the case 26 years old. Would be tough to prize him out of WA though. But King hasn't realised his potential yet. He played his best game against us this year kicking 4 goals. Is there something in this? Max is Victorian, better chance of landing him, at 23 y.o you would have to offer him a 8-10 year deal on par with our highest earners to prize him out of the Saints. If his manager is Paul Connors we have a massive chance of Landing him. On form you would go Waterman over King but it would be best to ask May and Lever who has been be the biggest headache for them.

Trade Targets
Peter Wright would have been handy, the exact type of player we were searching for. $500k a year, 23 years old at the time also. Would have suited us down to the ground. Ben Brown came in and served us well for 2021 (premiership) massive when the whips were cracking and the next 3 years have been a complete struggle for him. We knew about his knee history when taking him on, rolled the dice on 4 years and paid the price in 2022 and 2023 finals series.

Next AFL Shafting
I reckon it will be 2x games on a Friday night in a 20 team comp to compete with the NRL. Monday doesn't work in Australia, too long of a week Thurs/Mon.

When is that contract up? If the AFL are zoning it to North Melb then there is absolutely no point playing in Alice Springs.

Next AFL Shafting
That's an amazing effort from the AFL. Year by year i am growing tired of these changes that completely screw us over, time and time again.

Look at Logan McDonald?
Or wasn't effective enough, i personally reckon we didn't explore it enough after Gawn's knee injury.

Look at Logan McDonald?
That was the plan with Grundy, Gawn didn't want to play long minutes in the fwd line.

Andy Moniz-Wakefield to Debut
Its good to see the coaches have finally realised its time to blood the youngsters, if you can't contend blood them. They might actually surprise you. Congrats to AMW, well deserved. πππ

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Chris from Camberwell didn't write him off. He's been signing from the rafters on Jeffo, hopefully he's right.

Harrison Petty
How would a Steve Johnston or someone of that ilk go as our forwards coach next year if they are available? We need new blood and new ideas to direct our forwards. Stafford has done his best for us but the time has come for him to try his hand at something else.

We don't have any movement forward of the ball whatsoever. We don't have any form of leadership in our F 50 and it is showing up in all parts of our game. It incredibly frustrating and you can see it in the players faces as they look devoid of confidence and hope. The ball just bounces out of our 50 so easily through our filthy entries and weak contest work.

Anythings better than the logs that are being dropped on my front porch at the minute from the MFC.
