  1. I love Petty Forward he is a natural, but somehow it seems to me that his body is not durable enough to play as a Key Forward for a whole campaign. I would rather get a full season out of him as a CHB than a stop, start season as a Forward. The option is there to swing him forward if the need arises.
  2. We need one and im on board with a Key Forward in their prime who will improve us immediately. Mckay fits the bill. Get it done Dees, just not with our pick 5 though.
  3. Has Staffy said his goodbyes yet? Couldn't possibly get another lick of the Ice Cream.
  4. Can people please stop bring Lynch into trade discussions please, his tummy is full (2x Premierships) and won't recover from his foot issues. 900k- 1m on a player who will be sitting in the stands like Grundy, please! All we will be doing is topping up his super.
  5. If we land Mckay I'd be playing him at CHF and JVR closer to goal. Mckay would benefit from longer set shots on goal 35m+ JVR better set shot inside 30m. 25 year of age, ready to go. Carlscum clearly want to get rid of him otherwise all this talk would have been shut down. If it can be facilitated get it done.
  6. Curnow did f all during the finals, i think it would be a massive mistake for Carlton to let McKay go.
  7. He's not worth 3 first round picks no Fuggin way, Id be giving them the following of the two, pick 13, future 1st rounder and or what ever we get back for Grundy hopefully pick 11. Pick 5 should not be included in this deal unless we are getting something back in return, would rather draft a young gun mid with this. That's a ripping deal for Carlscum and we are taking on his salary for 6 years. Having said all this i would prefer Naughton over Mckay any day of the week.
  8. Im pretty sure if a player is unable to take the field and has to medically reitre and can't play footy again the player payments aren't shown in the salary cap before a season commences.
  9. I remember a top of the table clash against Port in Adelaide when he was superb kicked 3 that night snapping and marking the night away from memory. At the end of the day, bottom line our structure with BBB and Tmac lead us to a premiership glory. Little signs might have been appearing but their output was what it needed to be along with the Gawn/Jackson combo. The output diminished half way through 2022 after Tmac's injury along with a hobbling BBB and soon to be departing Jacko inept performances. An certain amount of respect needs to be shown to both Tmac and BBB, at the end of the day these contracts were put in front of them.
  10. He was excellent in 21 along with Brown played their roles brilliantly.
  11. Ben has been fantastic for us he has won the ultimate for the club and been excellent in a coaching capacity with the girls. If his knee injury is too debilitating then the best course of action is to gain an injury related retirement. His Salary would be paid out of the salary cap and would be best outcome for all parties involved. Ben would know if this is the best case scenario.
  12. If you drew a circle around their feet they wouldn't have moved out of it. motionless. Easiest money they'll ever make.
  13. Who's would be saying that WCW? Its on the players for missing the opportunities created.
  14. They drop everyone behind the ball soak up pressure when the game gets tight and try to play on the counter attack. Simple really he must watch alot of World Football old Craig Mcrae. Don't care what arguments people put in front of me, if we get our hands on a Peak Power Forward who can jump and clunk marks inside 50 we are winning again. No.1 Priority this trade period. We f'd up last trade period with Grundy make it right this time brains trust and team him back up with Shaq dog and Hunts.
  15. Go and get Naughton its that blatantly obvious, this team needs some separation that Tmac and BBB gave us in 21. Friggen fix it while you have the draft capital. This club that won the flag 1 hour ago were on the ropes and hanging on for dear life against us. Kicked 0.2 in the last quarter of the QF because we had 1 tall playing his 1st year as a marking forward inside 50. Get busy Dees do something constructive, don't just sit on your hands and this is the problem 12 months down the track. #FFS.
  16. Umpires you had one job. F me. Hold your heads in shame AFL. Your umpires are a disgrace the only game in the world that decision making has such a bearing on a game. pathetic.
  17. Key to this game is the Big O must dominate that yank from the get go, sink his knee right into his ribs. This is where he got Gawny early. Must fight fire with fire straight from the first bounce, we didn't do this, we were very reactive. I hope our lads have learnt lessons from the first 7 minutes of the 1st QF, have to set the tone early not physical enough at all.
  18. I was going to start a whole new topic but I'll just post it here. From most important needs we need to address? What are our key needs to get us over the line for a Premiership/s in the next 2-3 years? 1. Key Power Forward (clunking mark forward) (Trading) 2. Young gun skillful midfielder (Draft) Top pick 3. 2nd Ruck/Forward who can play forward (Trading) 4. Fast Small crumbing forward goalsneak (Draft) 2nd rounder
  19. Packaged deal with Grundy for hopefully pick 11 and another selection.
  20. Fritta would go to the next level, he would get the 3rd best defender and kick 60 a year for the next 3 years. Goody would then have the option of pairing Naughts up with JVR or Petty. Petty can revert back to his defensive post and have that option into the forward line up our sleeve it would be perfect. Imagine the ball Kozzie and Mcadam would get a ground level when the ball is not being marked, we would be unstoppable.
  21. Might not want to drop the Management Company's name @dee-tox
  22. Melbourne had signed Grundy on the premise that $550-600k of his Salary would be paid over the next 5 years. The Collingwood component of his contract would have stipilulated that $350k would be paid over a 5 year duration where ever that may be Club A or Club B. This happens in the NBA and NFL yearly so whichever club that signs the initial deal (Collingwood) is liable to whatever percentage/figure is agree upon on the life of the contract. Which will be 4 years at $350k starting when ever he signs during trade period. MFC lawyers would be all over this.
