Lets generate some draft picks by letting go of some assets. Some hard conversations are going to have to take place at years end some tough list building calls need to happen for this club to prosper. Fritsch, Lever, Clarry, Viney, Salem, Petracca, Langdon, May, Fullerton etc. Not all these players will go but if we recieve what we are after in terms of picks from these players put forward then so be it. This it might sound nasty but it is necessary for our future before the Tassie team arrive. Has to happen this year, we need to generate picks and we ain't getting back to the top with this list in its current state.

Yeah we weren't rock solid going into this season at all, didn't seem we were pushed to the limits. That could be a by-product of knowing you haven't got the cattle to be in contention also. Standards drop slightly when the belief in your team mates isn't there. Selwyn needs to be looked at very seriously. But in saying that our injury record is fantastic so I would give him a tick in that regard.

Who are they missing? Could be a 🍌for them. Should have enough in them to get it done but stranger things have happened.

It was an absolute clinic by him that day, From 2017-2022 he was a magician every time he stepped onto Adelaide Oval. That was a game i remember as i had my young family with me that day. I was doing my best impersonation of Gill Mclachlan voice shouting C.Oliver 3 votes every possesion he was racking up after half time. Until we got sloppy in the last 10 mins and conceded the last 3 goals and lost by 1 point. C.Oliver continued on his great form as did the team and the rest is history that year in 2021.

I would have been terrible being there and witnessing that in front of you especially seeing him in full flight. AMW was one i was looking forward to seeing play this year on the back of a fantastic pre season and glowing reports about his form. 😭

Gut feeling is telling me the board are waiting for Incoming President Steven Smith and the incoming CEO Paul Guerra to bring in their own man and clean house top to bottom. I don't think Simon has the courage or the bottle to move players on. He is to attached to the players who have bought the club that elusive premiership.

This is what it comes down to along with decent speed and agility. Playing Bball you need to read the play quicker that in footy so he has more time to adjust to scenarios during a game i.e spoil, park mark, intercept etc. If he's played the game until he was 15-16 he will pick the game up just like that. Couldn't be any worse than Bradtke's son there, which i don't think he wasn't even part of no footy programs growing up that was the issue. We need to be exploring these avenues now.

I'm starting to join the dots through the year. We seem not to be introducing any young midfielders into the group bar Kozzie. Rivers totally out of the midfield equation was getting good looks at it last year, zitch of an impact through the guts this year. Seems to me through my eyes we are keeping Oliver and Tracc in the shop window. Oliver seems to have settled down off field which might improve our hand. I reckon he will land at Geelong, he'll take less and we might get a 2nd rounder if we're lucky. Trac is a bit different, a proven match winner off his own boot and has value as a 1st rounder and we should ONLY hold out to that. I think he's protecting himself a bit and doesn't want to play fwd for this exact reason to keep his options open. I can easily see him staying also with the point of difference he offers. As good as Viney has been the heart and soul of the place. We should have played checkers with Norf and cashed in on him but he used the clubs turmoil to his advantage and recieved a 4 yr pension. Unbelievable how this has all panned out in such a position of power and we completely fucced it up.

They would have to accept less coin at their new clubs, its as simple as that. We need talent through the doors,picks in the 1st round not just their salary off the books. Both Essendrug and Hawforn have the cap space and draft picks we desire. Only issue with Essendrug is that they are in no man's land just like us atm, not appealing to players in their prime.
