Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement

How can a club extend a players contract if he was under an extensive concussion measurement program? Murphy had 1 year to run extend out to 3 years. Knowing he wouldn't play again would love to know what sort of a pay rise they gave him to strengthen their bargaining power for a comp pick. Very negligent of Collingwood and the AFL for allowing this to happen effectively ticking off on it to futher their case for compensation. Very suspicious activity allowed to happen and the AFL and turned a blind eye to it all. -

Lets see how they cope with injuries these front runners. So the win we had against Adelaide was hard fought all of a sudden. 2 games in 5 days tells more of a story about our performance against the Lions.

Choke on that blooz. Have a [censored] taste of your own medicine.

No one in the media mentioned the Lions had played the first 2 rounds, break in round 2 (bye) and another break in round 4 (against North) whilst we have played both Adelaide teams off a 5 day break and 6 in a row. They love sticking it to us don't they!

Too little to [censored] late!

Hopeless, [censored] hopeless tonight, This has been an ambush 2 weeks in the making. They'd been planning for this all during Gather round against North, whilst we were slogging it out playing 2 tough games. Didn't have a good feeling about this from this morning.

Have to agree.

Shot to bits. We butchered two attacking thrusts in that last little peroid. We had them cold and reduced the deficit by a couple of goals. Terrible football.
-
This is embarrassing against this lot.

What f k is going on?

All these positive signs are an indication of a great team. -
Might not be able to fit them all in.

I don't reckon the impact was hard enough personally to get suspended, Soligo played on after it. No momentum going through contact. Fight to get it downgraded to a fine.

I saw the bump live, didn't look like contact to the head. From everyone's reaction, it seems that way?

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Norwood have always had excellent financial backing. $$$ wouldn't be an issue but I think the AFL would want the financial backing of a state government much like the Tassie deal. -
There own list management got them in this mess, they can get themselves out of it like every other club have had to do. They had teams throw 3 first rounders at them for pick 1 and they knocked it back. They had opportunities to trade players out for draft capital eg. Gaff, Darling, Mcgovern etc, they traded players in like Kelly from Geelong for 2 first rounders, They have made their own bed and they can lie in it for a few years to come. Premiers in 2018, 60 million in the bank, get the [censored] out of here West Coke!
