From anger to action: A call for constructive feedback to leadership
I'm afraid this will be the case. My recommendation is to blood the kids, give them a taste, something to take into pre season.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
All im saying is just give them a taste of it, if they are not up to it just yet that's ok. You don't know until you try. Simon has dug a massive 🕳 for himself now, these players mention above should have been blooded by now. Not all at once gradually 1-2 in selected games that would have appeased alot of supporters including myself once finals was no longer a reality. This is not rocket science.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Forgot about Jeffo is should have clarified my rant a bit better, players drafted onto our list as a 18 y.o. The others are not straight from the draft they a mature aged recruits VFL/AFL players Hendo,AJ, Sharp and Fullerton. How many after mid year when out of finals contention? Answer = 1

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Well there you go, Simon finally caved into debuting a player after Harvey and Lindsay this year. How about Big Kent?

Time to go Goody?
It will be interesting to see if Simon makes some changes in personnel as a result of this "routine" board meeting or he sticks fat with the current crop that let last week's result unfold. Do you reckon this is the first time Steven Smith has joined these board meetings through conference call? First I've heard of this occurring, thought he was starting after September?

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Just seeing this request by West Coast instantly makes me think we will beat the Eagles by 10 goals, but stranger things have happened like last Sunday arvo.
-
Trade Targets
We can sell them hope in Lever and Viney experienced leaders.
-
Trade Targets
They might be stupid and desperate enough to actually give us pick 20 and 38 for Lever and Viney that would be a coup. Hawks pick 7 for Trac and pay a potion of his salary. Picks 7, 20, 38 plus our own picks we have 24 and 52 that's a decent hand for JT to work with. Fritta and Clarry to think about also.
-
Trade Targets
We should package Lever up with Viney and im not joking either they would thrive on that shy te. We have to start think this way people. We need new eyes looking at this years trading table can we attract a new list manager and pluck off Lamb he's run his race now.
-
Trade Targets
No, no free agency was bought in to keep Collingwood, Sydney and Geelong at the top of the table. By keeping the money machine pumping for the AFL by rorting the system blind keeping the strugglers at the bottom for longer periods of time.
-
After the Great Choke
If its true he wants to go to Hawks and the Hawks want him and we demand their pick 7, and we have to pay 200-300k of his contract for the next 5 years would you do it?

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
We'll get 9k on Saturday arvo 1.10 kids footy at that time etc. Plus our current predicament.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
I'm actually fearing the headlines in this one. Fearing some personal ridicule in this contest from other supporters particularly Crows ones. There is a saying in the UK when it comes to Football teams when the are mid table and safe with 4-5 games to go with no threat of relegation (they are on the beach) meaning they are on holidays already just going through the motions.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I'm now convinced they won't be around next year. Clarry after 23 wanted out to the Crows after his hamstring problems. Clarry might not have been in a good head space but he wanted out. The Crows after hearing differing stories on Clarry and decided to bauk at our ask price of 2x 1st rounders. They've straighten him back up now got him to his 200th game, Maxy has toured him around doing sportsmans nights to earn some extra coin from 2021 GF stories. So he will be on his way on better terms with the club and he'll go into another environment (Cats) get the eye of the tiger back, strip some weight off, become rock hard Clarry again and start killing it. Different story with Christian the offer that came in for him from the Pies last year was insulting as far as the club were concerned. Club would have sat him down and told him get yourself right no need to come to club BNF (which I didn't agree with) get your fitness back, find a bit of form, let the club steady the ship, show to the Demon faithful you are on board. Play your 200th and make peace with the club and leave on good terms when a better offer arrives from another club next year e.g Hawks. Everyone walks away with a happy outcome and both are welcomed back in 5.5 years time for the GF reunion in 2031.

That's just Geelong being the slippery little crunts they are feeding off the carcass shutting their mouths knowing that a fire sale will be taking place.

Time to start a rebuild?
This is what should happen but will it happen? I don't think the club has got the sack to do such a severe cut @GS_1905 I reckon Lever has currency for a bulldogs.
-
Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I could see that happening they need a bull midfielder and Trac would extend his cooking channel viewers.

Time to go Goody?
I still believe we can achieve something with this group if Goodwin and the footy department are clean out at seasons end. If fresh eyes come in new coach, new assistants, new footy boss, trade out one of Oliver or Trac + Lever to a North Melbourne we can generate some draft capital and revitalise the playing list. We don't need a wholesale rebuild we have the up and coming talents plus some prospects at Casey who aren't getting opportunities under Goodwin. Plus a decent trade period bring in 21-23 y.o players like Derksen, Perkins, raid some more BWS players we can turn it around like the pies did. This has to be the thinking of the board now too much has gone on, its time to cut the cord give him a grand send off and we start next season fresh with fresh eyes and ears.

Time to go Goody?
We'll go back and unpack it all, We'll own it, that's not us, It’s Incredibly disappointing!

After the Great Choke
Nightmate thought. Lyon said at 3/4 these blokes are ready to crack, they are not fit This is what was said and the whole competition knows it. This is what hurts standards have dropped big time.
-
Time to go Goody?
I'm sure it will, you cant hide what happened yesterday. It was like it was a directive to not apply any pressure or play with energy to finish them off properly. It looked and felt like we tanked in the last. Very sad times.

Time to go Goody?
Have read or do you have access to Facebook or other Demon sites the fallout and commentary has been absolutely brutal. This is the most angry reaction I have ever seen from Demon supporters.

Selwyn Griffiths
This has happened a few times with coaches that they are desperate to keep their jobs that they are placed on a staff based contract to rule out the a big payout if it all goes south. There is precedence of this happening with the Crows and Neil Craig. 2 seasons into this new arrangement he was under pressure to deliver and never did and left mid season with no pay out resulting. Pretty sure it was after a 100 point belting from the Dees also. The link between Longmuir and Craig's as coaches is that up until their last contracts they had never won a premiership and had no leverage or skin In the game to place demands on what they want. Simon would never have accepted a staff based contract after he led the club to the promise land, he would have picked up and coached elsewhere.

Can you see much changing if we don't make change? I've never seen a more angrier Demon supporter group than tonight on every level. We are going to bleed money next year in terms of memberships, potential sponsors, financial backing from wealthy supporters from this latest debarcle.
