  1. A part of me feels that if we ended up moving Tmac on another player would have come through the door i.e Phillips etc. I'm glad that Tmac has stayed at the club and can recapture his best footy and have a sound body and mind. Another big body to create pressure for spots Fwd/Back thats what we need this could be a real blessing for us going forward. Still have the pre season draft to snare a smokey from somewhere you never know.
  2. Agree with you AF to a certain degree, i just feel we need a more flexible F50. I think we are banking on Spargo, Hunt and Kosi to go to another level in 2021. I donโ€™t want us to be a copycat club, its a sign of weakness and will not defeat a Richmond side in september. I happy with our conducted business in trade week. Happy days.
  3. I was hoping for another small pressure forward in the Higgins mould as it is a glaring flaw in our game. A Phillips type Winger would have been icing on the cake. Either type of player would have capped of an already shrewd trade period for the Dees. Kudos to Mahoney and Co.
  4. Could have been alot worse, could be in Collingwood's shoes.????? It's not the end of the world guys and girls, i hope this sparks a fire from within for Tmac. He's just going to have to wait for his opportunity to shine.
  5. I think Fox Footy and the AFL have gotten into both camps and are setting this up as a Tradeday Night special me thinks.
  6. I reckon we'll end up paying half his wage unfortunately, it will be a fire sale type scenario couple of hours left on the clock, take it or leave it. I'd rather he stays, but just can't see it happening, we need whatever money we can off the books going forward.
  7. Playing basketball again?
  8. Serious?
  9. The Saints have picked the eyes out of the last 2 trade and draft windows. While our efforts were very good last year they have been excellent in bring in the players who've complemented the way they want to play.
  10. 750k for 4 years, 2 down 2 to go. Believe it Marty, its real that's why that want rid.
  11. You may be right with the competition for spots down back, i just think they may not tinker with to much down back early doors. Especially with Petty and Hore coming back from long term injuries. Our major focus will be our dysfunctional Forward line, adding scoring power and preventing the ball leaving our F50 so easily as it has in the last 2 years.
  12. I think his position in the backline is set in stone deanox. We need speed on both wings going forward. If we can't land anyone else its Langdon and Baker who get first crack in 2021.
  13. If were not trying to bring in a Phillips or a Higgins type then we will be treading water for a third year in a row.
  14. Awesome news a natural goal threat with pace to burn and great kick for goal.
  15. Huge news, great get Dees, can't just sit back and think how good are we. Need to be more proactive in another couple of trades.
  16. That is devotion if you've signed up again after that drivel. Christmas Shopping and Holiday Bonaza Special!!! Some enticing efforts to gain supporters cash after a sterling season.
  17. I can understand the cash side of it, but why would you want to go to Essendrug at the minute with spot fires popping up everywhere? He would be transferring to a club with the equal amount of complete hopelessness as the club he's come from.
  18. Turns out to be roughly the same contract he was after at North 4 years @ 750k a year = 3 mil. MFC 5 years @ 550k a year = 2.75 mil, 50k per season less from the impact of covid. Looks like the strength of the extra 2 years on lower cash has got Big Ben over the line, very shrewd business by the Dees.
  19. That may actually work out packaging up Tmac and Pruessy in a three way trade with GWS and Geelong.
  20. The MFC could lose big if Big Ben cuts the locks, imagine the sales of Wigs around the ground and the Demon shop could be a real money spinner.

I'm a Baker fan also but feel we still need another outsider eg. Phillips who likes to kick a goal.

    Dodged a massive bullet Demonlanders.
  23. I was happy to accommodate Smith non the less, but i have to say a 25 y.o wingman is better than a 32 y.o wingman. Divert all attention to Phillips Dees. Forget Smith now he's obviously having second thoughts, hearts not in it get the player who is hungry for a premiership(s).
  24. Crucial cog going forward from next year onwards. Any update on his injury progression?
  25. Respect is what builds clubs. I only see good things with this announcement.
