  1. To be fair, I thought it was a good article. On the money and fair to Melbourne.
  2. Gawn doesn't get [censored] and involved in punch ups in public though. Think you've lost your bearings, pal.
  3. Thanks for the update. What a mess. May has a lot to make for.
  4. Not everyone. But the coach, yes. That might be handy, especially given the cloud of excessive drinking that already hung over the club...and which this fiasco gives credence too. Unfortunately, we can't blame the media. We've given them the ammunition. Plastered senior players fighting in the street, mid season! If it was another club, we'd be cheering the dopey journos on. There's more to run on this.
  5. The whole thing is just pathetic and reflects terribly on the club. Senior players drunk and fighting amongst themselves in the street? Mid season? FFS. May in particular is a fool, and has done a lot of damage. Any repetition and he is done.
  6. Yes, Gawn is an impressive leader, on and off the field. Goodwin? I find his silence thus far on this fiasco a little odd.
  7. Dont like idea of Brayshaw on the wing opposite Jordan and they still need him at half back. I suspect theyll retain Bedford. Could they try Pickett on a wing?
  8. Horse manure. Tim Gossage? Are you kidding? Parochial Perth dimwit. Brayshaw wants to live near his grandparents? I may die laughing. He's not going anywhere.
  9. Nice to see some intelligent comment on this issue.
  10. Extremely bloody harsh...Handball to Bedford...Handball of year.
  11. 'hopefully not infected'?
  12. 'Can someone lift my spirits?' We have won 14 games in a row, including a Grand Final by 12 goals. Does that help?
  13. Can I interrupt and say what a great game by Viney, first game post-Covid? A great Melbourne player.
  14. The team is better with Petty playing.
  15. Have a drink, and relax.
  16. Well said. And spot on. 14 in a row - and a few people are whining. Hawthorn is very capable, by the way.
  17. The team still looks good...but a bit old! Oldest team we have field for a while.
  18. Yes. Its all about the squad - you need 25-30 good players. (Which we have). Premier League teams regularly swap several players depending on the fixtures coming up. West Ham has a big European match coming up tomorrow morning; in preparation they rested nearly half the side for a League match - against a strong Chelsea. (Lost 1-0 late in the game.)
  19. Yze talked about yesterday. JViney was doing some training today, and will be there tomorrow.
  20. Correct. Team looks pretty good on paper. Would rather not lose any more, however.
  21. It has. But all the players there know the defensive system. There's no weak link. They miss Salem. Petty too - but Smith can do the job.
  22. FFS. Can people calm down?
  23. Have some sympathy for your view about Smith: the club rates him too. But dropping Hunt would be a travesty. Was really excellent against Richmond, on his 100th. Did it without fuss and without histrionics. Appeared in some of the votes. Hawthorn has some nippy types. He's needed, and he's in.
  24. Couldn't agree more. Think people are just seeking novelty. Dropping ANB? Jordon? Bizarre. Why not pick away at the fabric of the team, for the sake of it? Dunstan - accomplished, smart, and tough - will be very stiff. But I think they like him around, so perhaps he'll the sub. Smith will also be a bit stiff. One shocking mistake, but otherwise I thought he was pretty good. Tom McD is too good to be in the VFL, and can play just about anywhere if needed. But there's no spots just now.
