  1. Not sure that we're as talented as people assume. Take out Gawn Oliver and Petracca - great players - and we're nothing special. And clearly lack reliable forward firepower, apart from Fritsch. Can't see where its going to come from.
  2. Laurie has had 2 very big games in a row. Deserves his chance. He and Harmes should replace Spargo and Sparrow. Not sure how Schache gets in (assuming they pick BB), unless its for van R. McDonald will get another chance. Another one.
  3. Yes, Lyon's mentioning Sparrow in the same breath as Tim Watson (must be the no.32) after the 2021 GF is looking a bit silly. Hasn't come on. Pity, I like him! But it might be worth looking elsewhere. His form doesn't demand a game. We have too many B-graders, frankly.
  4. Several injured players thown in there.
  5. I think that's right. Look - the team is dominated by the big 3: Gawn, Oliver, Petracca. Fortunately the latter two are durable. Can you imagine the team without them? North Melbourne.
  6. Casey game tomorrow is important. If Harmes plays well, he is in. Laurie? Howes?
  7. Bored with this new signing saga. Club should get the deal done ASAP, so they can get on with being a better team.
  8. Google Trent Rivers+The West Australian. Should do the trick.
  9. I note the WA press making much of his good game today...quoting him saying how much he likes playing back in his hometown and how he used to support the Eagles. His contract wouldn't expire this year, would it?
  10. I'd like to see Howes in the senior team at some stage. He's got it.
  11. The more upbeat he tried to sound the more rattled he looked. We'll have to wait to see.
  12. Goodwin's response in post match presser not encouraging. They don't know.
  13. Class player. Multiskilled and smart. Tougher than he looks. Better on a wing and - perhaps - an odd run on the ball (see him breaking away from the middle).
  14. Ludicrous. The author is an [censored] - and semi-literate.
  15. I always liked 11. Looks good on the back. At Melbourne, has had a series of top players (Paul Johnson excluded) going back to Tony Anderson in the 1960s.
  16. They never stopped complaining about Weidemann - until he apparently became a potentially champion ruckman (all of a sudden).
