  1. Thanks Krazy. I felt like I was there as well. Your young boy will dine off that for ages. His "show and tell" at school may have been interesting yesterday. I was impressed with the crowd response when Jayden was taken off.
  2. Hah. Same with my neighbour. Head down and a mumbled hello. Loving it.
  3. Yeah. Good luck with that. I cannot recall the last time it was our home game at the MCG.
  4. Why do we always have to play W.C. in Perth. Hard to beat, especially with the umpires no matter what head office says over there. Just when was the last time we played them at the "G" ? Surely next year they must play us here.
  5. On this basis the Anzac Day match would look like an Arab convention. lol
  6. So far from the truth. I was sitting on the first level and the noise and support was both loud and very keen. This year the amount of colour (red and blue) has been the best and never seen so many kids. Great for the future. Stupid comment about the staff. They are just doing a job. Never seen one "uppity" one in over 30 years. Dumb comment.
  7. I agree. The majority of the ground was red & blue. Best turnout of Dees for a long time. Continue like this and I can only imagine the crowd for Queen's birthday weekend.
  8. The "druggies" to lose to Brisbane.
  9. Correct ProDee. The club paid Roos's salary to my knowledge. Not too sure about the compo from the MCC. Can someone enlighten?
  10. Just watching AFL360 and Richardson was quite generous with his praise on Melbourne. Background vision after the game and Jordan Lewis appeared. Looks so much better in a Dee's jumper than a Dork's.
  11. Not at all. Just an inferior ground with a pathetic attitude to supporters - especially non home ground supporters. "Shitihad" just rolls off the tongue.
  12. I remember that match. Never got in until halfway thru the second quarter and even with our Melbourne scarfs they put us right behind their cheer squad. They are amateurs getting crowds in. " best available seats" Bull. Last time I bought a ticket there Brown (Richmond) broke his leg. Going Saturday though.
  13. As MCC members we get to purchase tickets on level 2 (at a great cost) only to be stuck behind the goals. When asking for bay 35 (middle) we are told "best available". Yeah right. They treat you like theatre patrons. So our group refuse to go and spend a cent there. I shall be going though to see the Dee's but in the Crown box.
  14. Agree 100%. Mind you Foxtel are very good at repeating stuff but I would never swap back.
  15. Haha 640MD. The photo's won't stick onto the screen as the screen has whiteout all over it from previous mistakes. Some of the photo's are too big so just working on it.
  16. Hey Old Demon Me. That banner lasted a long time if it was the original. We made back in the 60's up a mates driveway and when we lifted it up after drying we were in trouble as it printed on the ground. We had a room in the pavilion where we stored the banners but if they were wet we took them home to Carnegie and hang them up on the railway line fence the next day to dry. A real effort to take them to the next match on the first train along with bags of cut-up paper. I'm still trying to work out how to post old photo's of the cheer squad.
  17. Always read Demonland but never joined until now. Had Xmas dinner last night with some old cheersquad members last night ( Bells Hotel Sth Melbourne) and one mentioned this topic. I have many photo's from the 60's which I will post and be great to catch up with lost friends.
