Just finished shopping in Bayside and outside Woolies were five cars all with Melbourne stickers on. (Not including mine) Both yesterday and today talking to people, two said they followed Brisbane and Sydney BUT also said they used to follow Melbourne and changed. Some observations from yesterday. Sitting on the second level outside the Long Room I could not get over the noise generated by the Dee's supporters. Was long and strong all day. Just about the biggest cheer of the day was when we finally received a free kick early in the final quarter. The club MUST challenge the umpiring dept on many of the decision that went against us today. What are we doing that wrong that 17 other teams are not getting pinged for. Really felt for big Maxy who took some of the decisions really hard. The anger/frustrations on his face were there for all to see.. Did anyone else noticed just how high the ball was being thrown in? The highest I think I have ever seen. Others around me made the same comment. Really proud of the boys today and Angus you really stood out. So accurate with his passing. Dare to dream Melbourne, dare to dream.

We also sit in the MCC section and very few left. They only started to leave as the boys had run past us to stand by the race waiting for Jack Watts to lead them off. For 27,000+ they made quite a bit of noise during the match.
