As far as I can tell, in no stage during Goodwin's tenure have we won a game with that score... whilst keeping the opposition comfortably beneath it. The team are becoming comfortable in their defensive and forward systems...and is more nuanced than blow them out of the water by merely kicking more.

I can only assume you are coming from the brave new world where contracts no matter how recently signed are not relevant legally, and that even though clubs fabric are built on meaningful relationships, that doesn't matter to this millenial generation? Are you from the future?

Any one got an informed opinion on Goodwin and the FD's game day coaching for the EF? Personally I find it hard to decipher... but have noticed that the plaudits go to the players, rather than anything that the coaching stuff have done on the day.

Im not agreeing with it - just adding opinions from elsewhere to the mix...

This. In all my 39 years have I never seen (or noticed) the enthusiasm and connection between Melbourne players when goals are kicked... it's almost like they're not just stoked for the team...but genuinely, genuinely stoked for the individual that reaped the rewards. There is clearly so much love and connection at the club...
