cap space @jnrmac

Is that a compliment or not? ?

Well, the first language of AFL is lying... or not airing your intentions...since when has Mahoney ever been overt when it's come to bigger names coming into the club. Not to say he is lying of course... but as someone else said...the deals are done, the rest is theatre. So, the vibe I have is that I can't help but think that if/when Hogan goes to Freo...Gaff will shortly announce the Dee's, as his asking price is more closely matched due to more cap $ - if the trade to Freo fails... well, who cares really...
-
I'm happy to take the advice from others on here that have spoken to Gaff's management that it is North or WCE. In the meantime - I can't help but think though, that his choice when he makes his announcement will be based on Hogan getting to Fremantle or not...
-
So I presume, Luke Darcy is filthy towards 'Stevo' ... Unless this is all ducks and drakes of course...

The 2nd tall for TMAC...is far different than the number one spot ...he'll be right.

Are you saying he wants a toke on our Weed?

De Boer, sounds like my mates 15 years ago, when I was trying to score at the local nightclub...

god damn your smugness/bluntness irritates me at times... but I've just turned the corner on this particular topic, thus your post is hilarious.

2018 Player Reviews: # 44 Joel Smith
Engorged Onion replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nice write up @Demonland Further, Joel jagged a goal in the prelim if I recall correctly. -
That feels rather arbitrary - there was a post earlier this week that showed clear outs were on average 8-9 - with some (inc WCE) on 12 last year.

Massaging us, to let us know it's on.... he filled a purpose at the time, and fit's better as an inside mid elsewhere, essendon, wb perhaps. Good luck to the bloke.

I do like that journalistic wiggle room...

The culture of trading is vastly different now in the AFL with free agency... Including: An openness to letting players who don't want to be at your club leave, rather than proving a point because you feel wounded that they want to leave. Letting all players that aren't your core 4/6 - explore options elsewhere All clubs are more open to trades that closely match what they are after - so operating with realism - vs the hardline stance that was abundant over the past few years and beyond. All parties, Clubs and Players, understand that every decision that is made, is driven by the commercial interests of that party. Both parties what remuneration that is fair and equitable. FWIW - it's hard to see May staying, whether he comes to the Dee's is another story...
-
It was more the commentary around throwing their dumb chest at him... that sounded rather definitive.

Because you're clairvoyant? Can you tell me next saturday's tattslotto numbers please

@Macca can you explain to me the difference between 1 year to go and 2 years to go, and what that does, compared to end of contract and 1 year to go?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

For those packaging up KK and May, I would put KK as a seperate conversation to May as KK is not a required player from their perspective. -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

My memory was that Roos played him forward for the entire year...not to test others out, but to ensure our back line could learn to play without him... it was so effing obvious from round 3.... -
ive missed your input @grey wolf - however this post was far too prosaic for my liking

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

Personally, I don't think he is pretty enough to fit into our culture... -
Erm, so will the runner have a job?
-
It's a fair point @rumpole in that change of language, and on reflection I would agree. Further to that, is how the MFC operate in the trading speculation process. Personally, I love that we operate the anthesis of North Melbourne, in that nothing comes out of the club until the media release.
