  1. I'm tipping a Lion's win - and even after that Melbourne still wont have beaten anyone of recognition...
  2. I for one would be satisfied if Dom left for greater opportunities... aside from disposal errors, he's a solid contributor...but as it stands in this team in 2018 - he doesn't make it into the best midfield that we can put on the ground.
  3. Thanks @Wiseblood, @Demonland time to get a vomit button...
  4. How good is Ox's 1% shepherd/bump for his 8th... It's team football that gets you to 140's with regular aplomb.
  5. tee hee hee, scraps that are 5 goals wins, if that's the new norm, then magic!
  6. pretty certain he had a knee issue at some stage, not necessarily an acl - I'm well aware that it was Schwarz who did 3 - and remember distinctly crying in pre season when the news report came through of what happened at Lavington... although as I am from the Western District, I though "why the [censored] are they playing at Laverton"....
  7. Craig Turley Jamie Shanahan James Cook Harry O Stephen Powell
  8. Yeah, but they were totes on board the bulldog train in 2016... nothing to see here at all, game after game after game...
  9. yes they can, and they will... its all ok though, credibility will come.
  10. and jeez, didnt he suffer some horrific injuries along the way - cheekbones in WA, knees, hands, he may have nudged 400 games otherwise.
  11. I would concur @Skuit, it's a bloody well run FD and trading out of the first round seems naive - but the FD are not naive - something is a cooking...
  12. I've been musing on this in reference to media types saying that we 'haven't beaten anyone'. The narrative around the great clubs is that if they keep winning the close ones then they're mentally tough... until we do so consistently then there will be this view of us. The first couple of close wins the narrative becomes, we scraped through/fell over the line (must make personnel changes etc etc)... but the team then gets enough close ones under the belt, then it also provides another aura of - playing to the end no matter what, not just when yer 6-7 goals up.
  13. 100% @ProDee- and none of us have experienced a Melbourne team playing like this - in our living memory (at least on this forum) thus its really [censored] hard to be cool with it...and feel like its a false dawn. I'm well and truly prepared to cop some losses in between now and September, but the reason I feel so bullish about this team is the evidence of the body of work (stats for some, how we win for others) so far... The individuals really relish playing for one another as a team, not a team of superstar individuals that are not cohesive. If it walks and quacks like a duck, then it is
  14. I've watched that tackle a few time - I think its a fantastic technique - to push and then grab with the fingers and pull down. I know when I used to play, I couldnt be arsed grabbing in case I hurt a finger nail... there is no way that was a push in the back.
  15. disappointed it is merely 7 minutes long... mind you it normally takes me around 45sec.. ho ho ho.
  16. This is true, is it merely a population per state thing? Or any other reason?
  17. Weirdly (and I’m sure I’m not the only one), I still don’t rate Richmond and they won the premiership - I guess credibility takes a long time to set.
  18. I wouldn’t bring in Hunty mainly cause he is on channel 10 at the moment in talking bout your generation - can’t draw for $hite
  19. Via the tv - If anyone, they seemed to be supporting Nev and Eddie Betts
