  1. to make 'us' the supporters who are oldskool feel as though somethings gunna change? the world has evolved from pre 2000's - get em angry, that'll sort em mentality. heavens... I grinned from ear to ear, when Goodwin spoke of 'love' between the players and care... that is what builds cohesion for teams...not tearing paint strips... I don't think I've ever heard a coach publicly talk in that manner...twas temendous... anger may seem to look like passion, but it doesnt help clarity to make infomered decisions. Being measured in responses is not mutually exclusive to being passionate about your players, your team, your football club , and your own profession as a coach. personally, I'd be careful not confuse what is presented to the media and the public in these sorts of times, as duplicate of what happens within the club...
  2. As reference to a smart ball user on the wing who has pace (and some) I reckon J.Thurlow would be a cracker, hasn't delivered as cruelled by injury a few years back and too good for VFL...
  3. ? very good. poor sod, gifted athlete but not the nous. Mind, his goal coming off the bench v. Collingwood was a beauty...
  4. I'm even more optimistic - Geelong at KP as a win and dependent on the Eagles 2 forwards - another one there - So I'm banking another 6 win in a row run, a loss to the Swans and another 2 wins in brutal hard fashion. 16/6 for mine... unless the wheels fall off.
  5. Am I being provocative if I giggle at the weekly posts for Trac to have a ‘huge game’..? mind I hope he does...
  6. Down the road from Manangatang and their 3rds?
  7. there are no cleanskins anywhere... people have fallings out either inadvertently or otherwise in life... clearly there are no MAJOR ethical or governance concerns...and his resumè and body of work is exemplary. We are a destination club on and off the park, at this point in time...amen to that.
  8. By no means are the mob who ran the Adelaide camp, running the Melbourne camp...and all camps/workshops/seminars/bonding sessions - whatever language we want to use ... are all about vulnerability, relationship building and insight to the self. Sometimes the coordinators of these camps...don't necessarily have the training in welfare when things go awray, or honouring peoples needs NOT to be involved when They as an individual feel too vulnerable... because it all of a sudden becomes about the coordinators plans, not what is good for the individual. So, great things CAN and DO and HAVE come of them... and sometimes [censored] things occur due to mismanagement.
  9. 100% @Cards13... the inability to win the ball and get a player into space was fundamentally THE problem... Goodwin can coach (game day as well) The system is great.... we're building flexibility and Players sometimes have crap games, sometimes numerous on the one day... it'll all be ok.
  10. im not one to mock other teams considering where we have been in our past, however, quietly drinking boutique beer from Forrest and revelling in schadenfreude, nicely pished is lurvely.
  11. unless of course there is a better candidate...
  12. It does beggar belief the media fawning over him - as though the can't seperate individual acts from the individual as a whole (or look at the body of work of the guy, who whilst being a great defender, dives fairly frequently, snipes players and assaults players in the back of the head whilst on the ground). How Hardwick can with a straight face in a press conference, support that behaviour is beyond me....must have been biting the absolutely [censored] out of his inside lip from stopping a smile coming
  13. and if you look real close, the double look inside to check his angles and wing position prior to kick off super smart (well, obvious for a professional)
  14. "OLIVER’S HANDS WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRIBUTION" This headline in the HS here this evening Personally I am not phased who writes what about us...however it is lovely when good work is recognised. mind you, it was all of about 3 weeks ago that he allegedly handballed too much...tee hee hee I dont subscribe to the hun, but someone may be able to shed some more light about what the article was saying.
  15. It'll still be the same process re: TMAC - as part of a talented forward set up and seemingly the team ethos - the team the kicks the biggest score wins... he won't be put back, those days are done.
  16. Mmmm, these things much like ebola, can affect masses of people in the community...
  17. It's interesting - we're playing poorly/the other team are playing well in patches - yet still 5 goals up - ill take that anyday compared to where we have been...it's hawthorn/sydney/geelong-esque.
