  1. This drove me nuts at the game, I was 5 rows back in M54 section and could see this, yet we did nothing? Worse, we kept bombing the ball in. ?
  2. I don't really like the idea of "trading up" for this draft. As I understand this "Super Draft", it's not that the top end are all guns like Judd and Hodge etc, it's just deeper, more talent to pick from. I also believe this draft will have a few more talls going early, then midfield depth will follow, hopefully this means we can snag a good young outside mid with the picks we have?
  3. I don't find it unusual, Oscar's normally relaxed in his on field warm up when the players come out in their pink shirts and have a few shots at goal etc. All players are different, Jack Viney has stated that he used to get himself worked up too much before a game, I have no issues how players warm up as long as they're switched on at game time. ? At the same time, Tyson always wonders around spinning the footy like a basketball and taking a few shots, Petracca normally takes lazy right foot snaps from about 50 on the fence. Jones, Brayshaw, Hogan and TMac normally take a few more serious shots at goal in this warmup. ???
  4. They smashed Frankston who are poo. If I'm reading it right, VFL do a 6,5,4,3,2,1 vote system for each team? Billings only got the 1 vote for Sandy, with 53 touches and 3 goals. ? Remember that JKH constantly racks up massive possessions against better VFL teams than Frankston for Casey, yet struggles at AFL level. ?
  5. They have the breeze this quarter, 6 goal run hurts though.
  6. Really? Everytime I've listened to him I've never got the impression that he was arrogant in his abilities?
  7. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get another run this year, due to injury or resting players. Will play in the firsts next year after Lewis and Vince retire after winning the flag too. ??
  8. Gus was just on Triple M, pretty standard interview, JB and Gus taking the [censored] out of Gus' old man etc. He's already penciled in the game against Freo and he's looking forward to standing next to Andrew at one stage and seeing who wants the ball more? ? Very well spoken young man. Unfortunately they didn't ask him about contract etc. ?
  9. I noticed the glove in the warm up, thought it was strange for him to wear it but it didn't even occur to me that he had injured it, let alone surgery on it. ? ??
  10. I just got the impression that Cripps was being diplomatic with his answer.? ?
  11. Amusing how some are criticising Brayshaw's kicking on one hand, but then stating that Trac is elite/better etc? When you compare their career stats they're basically the same, for everything, and I'd argue that Brayshaw has had the more interupted run of games to get his touch. If you actually want to go off this years Disposal Efficency, Brayshaw 68.5% (avg 3 clangers per game) Petracca 63.6% (avg 4.8 clangers) Oliver 72.2% (avg 4.4 clangers) Personally I think Brayshaw is more rounded, can use both sides of his body. Petracca is more x-factor, I don't recall him ever kicking opposite foot? I love the upside of both players and would love both to end up one club players with 250+ games. ??
  12. Does anyone know which round our other replacement game is? The magnet fixture you receive with your membership used to have an asterisk next to them, not this years one.
  13. To be fair, Roos answered the question put to him and stated that it would be unusual for a "line" coach to be on the bench, but that he didn't know what role Macca was playing.
  14. Maybe McCartney had a shot at our fwd and midfield coaches for letting the ball rebound too easy and make his backline work, and look, bad? ? I wouldn't be worried if it was as plain and simple as having his experience on the bench for better communication?
  15. Petracca on Dusty for the whole game? He has the size, power and 1v1 marking ability to defend against Dusty when he goes forward too.
  16. I must admit that I've changed my mind about going after attending last weeks poo we dished up. I'm working anyway but was going to try and swap out of my shift and go. Now I'm just going to save myself the hassle of trying to swap and record it on tv.
  17. The 11 Home Games general admission membership is $221. If you're sitting in M51, that's the Demon Seats Plus Open Air package, that's $429 for a single adult.
  18. Stuck working while the game was on but watched the replay when I got home. I'm actually not that disappointed in the game, I thought our second quarter laps against Geelong was worse. Lions kicked 7 goals to 0 in their run, but in between the 7 goals we missed set shots from Hogan, out on the full, and Oliver. Jetta also missed a pretty simple snap. There may have been another set shot and snap too, Bugg and Hunt?, can't remember now. Petracca also missed a set shot before the start of their run. We convert any of those shots and we would've taken the wind out of their sails. Throw in a goal to the Lions after a lucky spoil from a Lions player landed in the lap of another Lions player 20 odd meters away too. ? Still need to improve, but I'll take the 4pts.
  19. I'm happy with the changes, although I'm a massive Brayshaw fan, I'm also of the belief that they probably want to give him a proper run and that's why he isn't an emergency.
  20. We handball more then I'd like, mainly because we either handball to someone under more pressure, or loop a sloppy handball, causing that player to have to then handball under pressure too. I didn't think it was as bad this game as last year though.
  21. I was at the game, game clock showed around 33mins for the 1st quarter and 34mins for the 2nd quarter. I just fast forwarded through the first half on my Foxtel recording, confirmed those times. ??
  22. I'm obviously in the minority here, I don't have any real issue with what Lewis did. I thought it was a soft free too. Just like Maxy's missed goal, the loss shouldn't be blamed on this one incident. They out scored us by another 25pts in the second quarter, also kicking 1.7 in the last hurt. Yes, he's one of our leaders, but he did the same occasionally at the Hawks too, so we knew what we were getting. Considering the leadership he gives us for the most part, I'm happy to take the minor indiscretions. ?
  23. Vince may miss a few games because of his hand? I know he played the rest of the game, but if it's a split webbing between his thumb and forefinger, he might be out for 3-4 weeks.
  24. This is my quandary, when he's on, he's on. Fritsch and Hannan are better in the air though, and that seems to be the way we are going to deliver the ball. ? We let the ball come out of our F50 to easily as well, I think Bugg's tackling pressure and mongrel would have been useful today. It's only R1 though. ?
  25. I agree it didn't suit him, but that is part of my issue, where is his game B? I'm probably in the minority on this, but I believe Bugg's fwd defensive pressure and nagging would be better. Or give Spargo a crack, he tackles hard and has a bit of mongrel I believe? ?
