AFL Player Incomes
Surely Nic Nat wouldn’t be getting his full contract though? Unless there’s nothing written into his contract about injuries and amount of games he has to play per year etc?

2019 Membership
Yes, I upgraded to a Dedicated Demon and was able to request Maxy on a card. I requested it for a new membership too, not my one, because she loves the big fella, the club had no issues doing it. ??

2019 Membership
Just got an sms from club stating memberships are with Aus Post, hopefully Monday or Tuesday then? ??

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
From the Dees website. “MELBOURNE recruit Kade Kolodjashnij has wasted little time trying to impress his new teammates with a strong performance to finish third in the Demons' 2km time trial on Monday. The time trial was won by perennial pacesetter Alex Neal-Bullen, who ran an unofficial time of 6min 22secs in hot conditions at Gosch's Paddock. Defender Joel Smith ran over the top of Kolodjashnij in the last 70m to pinch second place after the former Sun took the lead early in the race. Neal-Bullen is renowned as one of Melbourne's best endurance runners and motored home in the last lap to claim victory in his pet event. Kolodjashnij set the tempo early as he looked to take it to the field in couple of laps and looked comfortable out in front in his new colours.”

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
There are some players that no matter how many weights they lift, or how fit they are, they just don’t look it. Or I should say, they don’t look as ripped as some others. I’m not too concerned though, he won GC’s 2km time trial last preseason in 29 degree heat before the headaches kicked in again around R4. With the strength and conditioning program I would guess he is on for his neck issue, I’m going to back him to do well in our preseason. ??♂️ ??♂️

2019 Fixture
My bad, was taking it from where the teams finished after the home and away season.
-
2019 Fixture
The below is copied off the AFL site, Has this rule/plan changed since 2015? If not, why do we get stuck playing 4 top 6 teams twice?

Jack Billings
They smashed Frankston who are poo. If I'm reading it right, VFL do a 6,5,4,3,2,1 vote system for each team? Billings only got the 1 vote for Sandy, with 53 touches and 3 goals. ? Remember that JKH constantly racks up massive possessions against better VFL teams than Frankston for Casey, yet struggles at AFL level. ?

Is Brayshaw more rounded than the Trac?
Amusing how some are criticising Brayshaw's kicking on one hand, but then stating that Trac is elite/better etc? When you compare their career stats they're basically the same, for everything, and I'd argue that Brayshaw has had the more interupted run of games to get his touch. If you actually want to go off this years Disposal Efficency, Brayshaw 68.5% (avg 3 clangers per game) Petracca 63.6% (avg 4.8 clangers) Oliver 72.2% (avg 4.4 clangers) Personally I think Brayshaw is more rounded, can use both sides of his body. Petracca is more x-factor, I don't recall him ever kicking opposite foot? I love the upside of both players and would love both to end up one club players with 250+ games. ??

Brendan McCartney - Moved to the bench
To be fair, Roos answered the question put to him and stated that it would be unusual for a "line" coach to be on the bench, but that he didn't know what role Macca was playing.
-
Brendan McCartney - Moved to the bench
Maybe McCartney had a shot at our fwd and midfield coaches for letting the ball rebound too easy and make his backline work, and look, bad? ? I wouldn't be worried if it was as plain and simple as having his experience on the bench for better communication?

Sam Weideman
Is there a dominant and permanent forward in the game at the moment? Hawkins is probably the closest to a permanent forward but most push up high in defence, or rotate position, and then push back in attack. I'll be very surprised if he does get moved on at the end of the year, I think the kid has shown us enough glimpses of what he can do. I'm looking at the 2020 season to be his breakout year. ?
-
Sam Weideman
I'll also point out that on draft night the commentators on Foxtel all agreed that Weideman would be the steal of the draft at No.9 if he could stay injury free. I don't see this as a mistake by our recruiting team. Hindsight picks are a load of BS and an easy shot at recruiting, how did Fyfe go at 20odd etc? ?
-
Sam Weideman
Fritsch may be a first year player but don't forget he is older then Weid, medium sized fwd instead of key position too. Weid was drafted injured, and has had an interrupted few years with little injuries too. I'm happy to give Weid another year or two before I'll expect to see him pushing for the 1's.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Selections before academy and father/son bidding: 29, 31, 36, 47 Selections after bidding: 29, 31, 37, 48 Who they picked: Charlie Spargo, Bayley Fritsch, Harrison Petty, Oskar Baker Verdict: Spargo is a terrific play-making midfielder-forward, with the capacity to take the play on and create for his team. He is the son of former North Melbourne and Brisbane Lions player Paul. Only a shoulder injury kept him from producing another consistent season. Fritsch is well known to Melbourne after kicking 42 goals in 19 VFL games for the Casey Demons. Petty will add to a developing tall back mix after an outstanding under-18 championships. Melbourne has long been into Baker who comes from Aspley in the NEAFL. Has been dubbed the 'ginger ninja' and it's clear by watching his highlight tapes that Baker has some serious breakaway pace through the midfield. The Demons believed they needed to add to their small forward setup and did so with Spargo and Fritsch. Look for Petty to push to be in senior contention early days too - he can play. - Ben Guthrie

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
One of the interstate clubs to pick Andrew Brayshaw, in two years he wants to return to Melbourne and nominates the Dees. ?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Haven't heard his name mentioned as a good pick by any of the footy shows, I might have missed it though? I wouldn't think we'd use our first pick on him, maybe 2nd or 3rd depending who else is still available.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I wonder if Tex Walker was [censored] at Bernie for leaving the Crows too? Tight arse wouldn't of rang and abused Bernie though, he was living at Bernie's house, wouldn't of wanted to get kicked out. ?
