  1. no of course not, but at the end of the day if they are found innocent they havent lost anything, just had a rather stressful break. stokes could lose a significant part of the season (inc match payments and actually just trying to break back into the team at all), even though he hasnt done anything. im not saying he is guilty or not, its just interesting.
  2. i am not sure about all this suspending players until the court case. surely this assumes that they are guilty. what happened to innocent until proven guilty? imagine being accused of something, suspended from your job, and were then found innocent? esp in AFL where missing training makes a significant difference to how your career could play out that year. if guilty, by all means, sack away.
  3. i have a slab bet with 3 different people that melbourne will finish above essendon. i was laughed at when i offered......
  4. .......waits for someone to stage a free kick 29th min mark of the last quarter of the grand final 30m out directly infront when 2 points down, suck in the umpire, get the free kick, kick the goal, win the flag and not give a [censored] about the fine.....
  5. i think you will find that leaner in strawbs post has nothing to do with fat but with muscle. my physio told me that my back was sore as a result of having poor core strength, as well as having weak gluteus maximus muscles. and as a result my hamstrings are over-developed, because they and all the other muscles in my back were overcompensating for my glutes given the running and weights i was doing. basically i have to strengthen my arse - and that will fix my back. mind you, my running style (and probably my weight lifting) techniques arent exactly flawless. it is possible, as you say, wonnas running technique leads to this, as well as watsons doing too many weights. but hey, what would i know.....
  6. the demons in my team - i usually try and pick them as bargains because i know them better. grimes - expensive but worth it IMHO frawley - 300k, why not martin at 280 - given the guy can play anywhere...... davey, sylvia... jetta trengove and gysberts make up my midfield numbers (i went all out and got ablett and judd and co here) and i have petterd, jurrah and aussie in my forwardline, and then tapscott on the bench because hes cheap (and i think he'll play a bit) anyway expect to get raped most weeks but who cares
  7. i think jurrah is mid priced. - given he will tear games apart this year... couldnt believe how expensive grimes was. 500k!
  8. 91 at vic park....was that the day jackovich went nuts?? i was standing on a milk crate that day struggling to see anything more than the backs of heads. they are pretty pricey these dvds, they are like $35 a pop...
  9. last week i got bored waiting for footy season, and im champing at the bit, so i ordered some dvds from that name a game company. i already own the bulldogs game from round 21 in 06 when jeff white and ben holland got us over the line in the last quarter, as well as the 2000 qualifying final v the blues and the win against sydney away in 05. last week i bought collingwood round 14 in 2000 - the wizard kicks 9 in a half, and two of the best games ive ever been at, considering the horrible [censored] going on everywhere, freo and brisbane from 2008. - never have i been more excited at the footy, and that includes 2000, than those days at the footy. aussie taking off down the wing at the 36th min mark of the 4th........mental. mental. so my question is....what were your favourite games? yes, i am bored
  10. jackovich gutted me. and the worst thing about being overseas in 2002 was missing the ox's last game.....i love(d) that guy as a player

  12. my man crush on jack watts is fully developed
  13. biiiiiiiiiiiiiiishop biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiishop biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiishop
  14. this poses an interesting question - is there a link between intelligence and football ability?
  15. well the point of the matter is that schools are meant to prepare students to become valued members of society. for some, repeat some, this will mean going to university - all a score is useful for. i dare say young tom is already a valued member of society
  16. kids had an epic week. glad he is ok.
  17. how do we know he did? anyway, what i like about it is eddie betts. the cruise started at about midday and finished up about 230.........well eddie was still out at 430AM!!!!!! id be dead
  18. just seems to me if he has been handcuffed to something/someone and forced to drink (even if it is peer pressure) - that the act of being handcuffed is assault? of course, i dont know the circumstances and its not exactly my forte, so i could be wrong. no forwardline, a boozy culture (i mean, these guys seem to go harder than i do, and im 1 step shy of being a full blown alcoholic currently), no clear leadership, theyve forever been run by crooks...... merry christmas
  19. when i did legal studies in year 12 im quite sure that the "victim" didnt have to press charges - if a crime had been committed the police would prosecute anyway...
  20. on a serious note - surely thats physical assault?? like, why arent the police involved here?
  21. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!! HAHAHA this is brilliant
  22. brilliant. and now for some poetry... i love carlton. wonder if they can blame fev for this?
