micky m has only ever coached at west coast and the pies - two of the most well resourced clubs in the afl. 3 1/2 years ago when we appointed bailey we had no money, horrible facilities and presumably no money to attract coaching talent as assistants - hence we only have 3 compared to the pies 6. have we come very far since 2006? absolutely, but most of this has been off field. all 3 of our assistants at the time were straight out of playing with little experience - and thus came on the cheap. getting mick malthouse would be a very expensive operation, as not only would we have to fork out for him but also a number of assistants, who wouldnt come cheap. in addition there is the question mark over mick... can he coach a team that doesnt have all the advantages and still be successful? or not? interesting times ahead

we are going to get creamed tomorrow night. also, id wear them except they are much smaller than the ACDC ones that i bought, and consequently they bloody hurt to wear!

pretty easy to critize them but when they look up the ground and see 1 player surrounded by 3 saints, of course they are going to try and keep the ball by kicking it sideways. when no one up the ground moves into and out of space - thats the true disgrace. bloody lead, lead hard, keep leading and let someone come into the space behind you - not to mention that lots of movement creates disorder in the team defending. the melbourne football club should make a highlight video of every tackle that is the same as the trengove tackle this weekend. they should send it to the MRP with a letter asking if all those players will also get the 325 points.
