I can't justify playing a home game at the away teams home ground. The fact some people just accept it makes my mind boggle. Unless of course it is selling a home game for financial gain, but obviously that isn't the case here. Although, I must admit, I was unaware of every Melbourne team having to play one home game there if that is true. That is a shocker in it's own right, if that is an actual thing. I really want to beat St Kilda this year, both times.

Yeah, and while we will be resting half of our best 22 for the finals as well. Squibs.
-
I can cop most of it, but playing a home game against St Kilda, at their home ground is truly horrible decision making. The one home game a year at Etihad is really pissing me off.
-
I'm just a little excited. Today is the day I get to plan next year's footy trips down to Melbourne. And living in Brisbane, hopefully we get a game up here or on the Gold Coast. We haven't played up here for the last 2 seasons now.
-
Please let the Darwin game come in the round before our bye. It seems such an obvious choice, but never seems to happen.
-
Perhaps, but I just get the feeling it will be senior list or nothing for Michie. I think his only chance is the club deciding to pay out Terlich's contract, but I think the club will honour his contract.
-
You make it sound like the recruiters are sitting at Roosy's house watching YouTube while sinking a few coldies. On a serious note, I am torn. It is sad that more than looking forward to the players we will get, I am even more concerned about the players we don't get.
-
As opposed to the old system where they get that same player for just their next pick? e.g. Heeney. The system has a couple of flaws, but is a lot fairer.
-
I'm only going off what I've read, but I heard Rice was somewhere in the 20s with Silvagni a very late pick.
-
IMO, we need GC or Essendon to pick someone other than Francis, Weidemann or Curnow with one of those picks 4-6. And we can have whoever is left of the 3.
-
They have delisted him and picked up Fitzy....,

I can't see us being interested in any of these guys. We have only 3 or 4 selections in the draft at this stage, and a couple of rookie promotions which I think are more important. The only exception would be if we paid out Terlich, and replaced him with someone like Moore, but it won't happen.
-
From what I can make of it, the players involved are 19 or 20, have been overlooked in the draft before, and will be overlooked again. So, I don't think it will have any impact on the draft. No doubt the Brisbane 'culture' will come into question again though.

Who needs enemies hey. I always thought me and my mates did some crazy things to each other when passed out, but can safely say that would never happen.
-
And there are a fair few academy players who are sort of owned by the northern state clubs rated highly this year, so they will have a pretty big effect on the draft order.
-
All about the new bidding system for father son and academy players. We still have pick 3, which people are predicting we will select Mills, but as a Swans academy player, they have the rights to him and can take him. In which case, we would select again, effectively meaning Mills goes to Sydney with pick 3 and we take Parish with pick 4.There is a convoluted points system that determines what Sydney will have to give up to take him, for example, they might have to give up their next 3 picks in this draft to take Mills at 3. If it sounds complicated, that's because it is.

The funniest thing is the comment that his manager didn't let them know it was going to go public, implying they knew full well about it, just thought it wasn't going to go public. Comical stuff from the Saints.
-
Don't think it could happen, but I would like Parish and one of Curnow or Francis. No idea about pick 46, but another Neal-Bullen type would be superb. At least VDB upgraded, perhaps Harmes as well. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing White upgraded, but another year on the rookie list won't hurt. I like the cut of his jib.

Sounds like Michael Jackson's kid. Wish he played 100 games for the dees so he qualified as father son.

To be awarded winners of trade week?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOMAS BUGG
Forest Demon replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
It does a little. But we can always use 2017's first rounder, or trade into the first round. I think the going rate for Prestia would be a 1st and a 2nd rounder, so it is still very doable. All of this hinges on him wanting to come to us of course. And if he did nominate us, both clubs will make it happen. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOMAS BUGG

This is good to hear. I think the club should really bind the group with this "us vs the world" mentality, that everyone doubts the club (even some of our own supporters). -
I'm sure you're a great bloke HH, but not sure you are what we are looking for. Not at pick 7 anyway.
-
Not that this sort of stuff phases me anymore, but I remember the first time I heard Carlisle talk, and within the first sentence, you could tell the bloke was a complete bellend.

Wowsers. Amazing effort.
