  1. Has been pretty much best 22 when fit, so interested in why he would jump ship. It's not like he wasn't getting the opportunity here, it was simply his own body holding him back. Unfortunately he isn't worth much on the trade table either, so I'm not expecting much in return tbh.
  2. Weeeeiiiidddddd, what a game. He was immense last night.
  3. Played a ripper. Goodwin said before the game he just had to keep making a contest, and he did exactly that. Every time he went near it, he broke even at the very least.
  4. Well he is second favourite for the brownlow, sorry was second favourite. TBH I've never been a huge Gaff fan, but there is no doubt he fills a big need for us in terms of a better inside/outside mix.
  5. He has been good this year tbh, although his lack of discipline for a player of his experience is unforgivable. It potentially cost us 4 points in round 1, and he still hasn't learnt.
  6. I'm not a Lewis fan, but thought he was good today. I've said it all year, but either he or Vince has to to go. As it stands, I'd swap Vince for Hunt in a heart beat.
  7. West Coast reportedly have an offer on the table for 750k x 4 years. Given he is a restricted free agent, we would probably have to go higher than that. That sort of money is starting to get up to the pointy end of players in the competition, and I've never been 100% convinced by Gaff. But there is no doubting he fills a need.
  8. He will surely get his chance next week. He can play half forward, half back or through the middle, and there are a handful of players in those positions he could come in for and replace.
  9. I reckon it is because 99% of posters have no idea about the draft crop, so they just look at the things they can easily digest, like someone's height. I wouldn't read anything into what most posters say about the draft.
  10. Crazy Kenny. They are shamelessly going all out for a flag next year. But for a team who has played 1 final in 3 or 4 years, I fear they are further away than they think.
  11. Not anymore. Happens on draft night the same as academy picks.
  12. God I hate Dwayne Russel. I know it's a strong word, but I just straight up hate him.
  13. While Brett Burton did come across a bit amateurish, I think Kane Cornes has slapped a fair serve of mayo on that story.
  14. That's what i heard also, and that sounds reasonable to me. Adelaide are obviously training to paint it as a financial move to save their own skin, so don't be surprised if they throw some numbers out there.
  15. 100%. That interview bought a big smile to my face. And to top it off, in the face of Burton's comments, he throws the draft chestnut in there.
  16. All things being equal, Lever for Petracca would be roughly about right. But, unfortunately for Adelaide, when a player is out of contract and wants out, and if he does happen to nominate us as the club he wants to go to, then you are always going to get the rough end of it. Happens every single year, and what other option do they have than to accept? Let him walk for nothing into the draft? We will give them some decent picks, or a decent pick and an ok player, but it would be foolish to even think about offering up any of our best young talent.
  17. That has to be a troll. Petracca is only just getting started, and is already a better player than Sylvia ever was.
  18. As we have slightly faded in the second half of the year, he has grown immensely. One of our better performers since the half way mark of the season.
  19. Wow, that is pathetic from North and St Kilda.
  20. But, but...he didn't even make Rohan Connolly's top 10 recruits of the year? No wonder he got the flick.
  21. Pick 14 for Mitchell is an absolute steal though. Luckily they paid overs for a crocked O'Meara to somewhat balance it out.
  22. What a pickup. Having a beautiful left foot kick coming off half back has been extremely important.
  23. The poster was talking about last season when we were into Hibberd and Hurley big time, but as you said, he ended up re-signing. Pity it didn't come off because Hurley is an excellent player.
  24. Ben Brown isn't the only key forward to have his way with us this year.
