So GC and Carlton have a free hit at any Casey players? Not ideal as it looks like we've created a decent pathway with our reserves, picking up 1 or 2 a year.

One thing's for sure, I'm sick of this being a media story every single off season. I can't think of another player so consistently linked with moving back interstate.

Has been pretty much best 22 when fit, so interested in why he would jump ship. It's not like he wasn't getting the opportunity here, it was simply his own body holding him back. Unfortunately he isn't worth much on the trade table either, so I'm not expecting much in return tbh.

It has definitely been an issue in the past, but not really this year. St Kilda were the only rubbish team we lost to, and as mentioned above, pretty much all teams are going to drop at least one of these games along the way.

We have too many vote stealers. In consecutive weeks, Harmes, Melksham and ANB were best on.

We were just "off" for whatever reason. Every single player was terrible, especially in that first half. A good reminder that there is still a lot of work to do.

To be fair, that was an absolute dog day. Who did you think had a good day? Particularly in the first half when the game was up for grabs? It doesn't mean the season was a failure, but that was a shocking performance today.

I was scared to open this thread as I couldn't think of a single winner today. Didn't disappoint.

I can recall 2 off the top of my head, one was Lewis, another was Brayshaw fumbling Frost's handball. Case closed.

Hyberbole at its best

It's been a good year on the whole, but I must admit it hurts to see Collingwood leapfrog us to a granny. But all in all, our progression has been steady and clear to see.

Bounce of the ball is the least of our worries. We were smashed around the ball in the first half, fumbled, tackled with our arms instead of with the body...an all round diabolical half of football.

I usually sleep like a log, but I've been tossing a and turning for a couple of hours.

1) Good on them, not dropping games is a huge part of positioning yourself for finals. 2) Its all completely irrelevant now. Past results mean next to nothing.

It makes sense, but you gotta feel for Fritsch. I thought there was a good chance they would look at Smith, but didn't really think Fritsch would be the one to go out, even if it meant he went back into the forward line and someone like Hannan came out, or onto a wing for Tyson. Who knows, maybe Fritter can play in back to back grannies!

Something about a live site for Saturday would be my prediction.

Huge game coming up where he will likely play on Darling on their home turf. He has been great the last couple of weeks and the defence as a whole won us the game on Friday night imo.

Tyson has had a pretty good back end to the season for me, so I don't think they will drop him after a quiet-ish game. No unforced changes.

He's mostly right, we didn't play well last night and need to improve. But I don't know about a "step backwards". We ground out an ugly win in a semi, which is something I wouldn't have thought we were capable of only a month or 2 back.

Hibberd BOG for me Petracca had a big influence on the game, and would have gone close if not for a few lazy entries.

Huge shoutout to our defence. Hawthorn were on top at times but we never coughed up a run of goals like we would have earlier in the year. Hibberd is so important back there. Frost and OMac have grown. Jetta is a rock. And Lewis is playing his best footy he has played for us in the last 2 weeks.

In fact, we are only a game shy of winning as many finals as Geelong has in the last 7 years. That's off the top of my head, don't quote me on that.
