Baker really struggled with the pressure on Monday (who didn’t to be fair). But he definitely looks a player and that would have been an invaluable lesson. Lockhart is one who I think should play the rest of the year. He was playing good footy when in the ones, and was very good in the VFL on Sunday. I am a fan.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting Max’s kicking is our biggest issue. But it is just such an obvious flaw, I am shocked it is still happening. Regardless, he was huge on Monday. I shudder to think what would have happened without him.

This year has been a disaster. Our movement of the ball is completely broken both tactically and skill wise, and I won’t be surprised if a few records tumble along the way.
-
As far as TMac goes. Now is the time to come out say he has been playing under duress, put him ice and prepare him for 2020. Otherwise we have every right to ask questions.
-
Gawn smashing Grundy after the way Collingwood fans carry on about him is at least a small positive.

A switch to a 2 on 1...I need to stop watching Melbourne, it’s actually not good for me.

That is such a bad handball by Salem. Personifies our lack of care with the ball.

We show no care for the footy. Dump handballs, long bombs, dropping absolute sitters. I’m tearing my hair out watching this [censored].

This is the way I’ve been feeling most of the year. I saw enough last year that there could be a player in there...maybe. But at this stage, struggling for form, he should be racking up numbers in the VFL, getting his hands on the footy and building up confidence. -
I didn’t believe you, so went and looked it up and he is indeed 23. I honestly thought he was pushing 30. He is a decent player, just lacks a bit more agility and a yard of pace to make it IMO.

Dunkley has looked good. I really like the look of Lockhart as well, not just today.
-
My favourite bit of this thread is the "Who is she?" posters who seem to take great pleasure in letting everyone know they don't like AFLW.
-
He has become an amazing public speaker. Once you start watching any of his talks, you don't look away until he finishes.
-
Gibbs from 3 years ago would be a good fit for our midfield. He is much maligned, but he had a couple of years of A grade football over that period. It’s a no now though.
-
Season is over, so for the love of god, give TMac the rest he so clearly needs. OMac is no good, but leave him in unless May/Lever are 100% ready to go.
-
That’s the stat. Season officially over now. Give Lever and May at least until after the bye. Put TMac on ice for a while. Time to think about 2020.
-
Oliver has been immense so far. He has been more decisive with his in tight handballs tonight.
-
Hore is a big out. His intercept marking has been one of our only assets.

Smith has been our best contested mark in his games this year. He needs to do more, but I’m not concerned by his selection. Im baffled at Spargo getting another game. He has been awful this year. Needs to go back and try and get his hands on the footy a bit.

Baffling selection today, even with the outs. He was just ok last year, but has been an absolute passenger this year. -
Out - Spargo, C. Wagner, Smith, OMac, J. Wagner In - Salem, ANB, Weideman, Lever, Hibberd I don’t know if those ins are possible, but that is 5 clear upgrades and makes us at least competitive.

6 - Gawn 5 - Hore 4 - Daylight 3 - Frost 2 - Viney 1 - Baker

Just finished watching and the disparity in effort was marginal, but the disparity in skills has never been wider. GWS were near perfect for 3 quarters and we weren’t even playing the same sport.

Can't agree with the above points re Mumford v Preuss. Why would we be worried about matching up with Mumford? We arguably have the best ruck in the comp who gives our mids silver service and he should run Mumford off his feet. Our starting midfield is the main area that gives us a chance of winning this game. If Preuss plays, it will be predominantly forward.
