  1. I don't think so. Pretty much any way it lands, they are on the other side of the draw to us I think.
  2. I like it. A good player and fills a need.
  3. Having been through very similar, I really feel for his family. They would feel completely helpless and there is just a sense of inevitability about how it will all end. I genuinely hope for a miracle, as that is what it will take.
  4. Love the ox, that was great to see. He flew the flag in the 2000 GF against a nasty pack of thugs, when others wilted.
  5. I know this won't happen, but if Freo beat Collingwood in Perth, we will finish 4th with a victory.
  6. Can we all make a pact not to ever be a bunch of flogs like the West Coast fans? Let's save our booing for when we are actually getting dusted up by the umps.
  7. Not during the game, but must admit after checking Demonland and even Facebook (which is usually a cesspit), I came close. It was great to see so many others enjoying the result.
  8. I thought all 22 did well. Tyson was good, so I'll put that down to the usual tiresome sledging he cops. Spargo wasn't bad, but wasn't good either. His spot could be up for grabs going into finals if the likes of Garlett really get going again, but I'm beginning to lose faith that could happen.
  9. Played a ripper. Goodwin said before the game he just had to keep making a contest, and he did exactly that. Every time he went near it, he broke even at the very least.
  10. Good call. He has lifted from that middle bunch to one of our most important players. I always think those players who can lock down an opposition gun and impact the game going the other way are underrated. Not a pure tagger, but more of a hybrid role, similar to what Vince did a couple of years back.
  11. I bought my son a lime green bmx from k-mart just this Christmas gone. Father of the year.
  12. I agree...except for Nicholls. He completely mugged us down in Tassie against North a year or two back, and everytime I get frustrated at a decision, I look up to see his bald melon responsible for it.
  13. It took me until half way through Sunday's game, but I have finally accepted we are not going to do any damage this year. Hopefully we can sneak into finals, get a final or 2 of experience and then get everyone back fit and firing for next year.
  14. Stats never tell the full story. We look good on paper, just look at our percentage. But it can never measure the mental strength that we seem to lack.
  15. Port Adelaide, the second Geelong game, and tonight. All games we 100% should have won but found a way to butcher it. Each of them in different ways, but the bottom line is we have officially choked away top 4, and top 8 is looking 50/50 right now.
  16. In general, I agree with this, except for the case of St Kilda. Their goal kicking is just noticeably awful. They miss so many of those 30/40 out, slight angle type of shots.
  17. Well he is second favourite for the brownlow, sorry was second favourite. TBH I've never been a huge Gaff fan, but there is no doubt he fills a big need for us in terms of a better inside/outside mix.
  18. Like others, I have done some ladder predicting, but mine is obviously spot on, so here goes... 0 wins = 10th = No Finals 1 win = 7th = Finals 2 wins = 5th = Home Elimination Final 3 wins = 2nd = Home Qualifying Final
  19. Injuries and inability to tie down an end seem to be the concerns
  20. It was pretty sweet to put an end to their season. Given it was at the Adelaide Oval, and they have most of their best team back on the park, that was a good win.
  21. If nothing else, we certainly made for great TV for the neutral last Saturday night against Geelong. I heard numerous people saying it was the most gripping and tense game from start to finish they had watched all year.
  22. I thought we were ordinary. In particular, the number of sloppy missed tackles was huge, and we got by on the back of one ripper quarter. In saying that, it made the win even sweeter. After dominating games against the likes of Port and Geelong, and getting nothing, it was great to grind out a win against a decent side in enemy territory.
  23. I'm delirious, but we will 4 or 5 of our remaining games, and either pinch 4th or finish 5/6th.
  24. JKH is done. OMac has had an improved season but has dropped away the last few weeks.
  25. I wouldn't call it cheating, I would just call it taking advantage of a very stupid rule. This is why footy fans have no faith in these clowns in charge of this "state of the game" rubbish. They bring in rules half cocked, and don't foresee any of the ridiculous side effects.
