How on earth does that happen? It blows my mind how he was so cool under pressure and precise with his kicking and it's just disintegrated

I don't understand the hate for Pickett. He works his butt off.

Bowey is a shadow of his former first year self.

Geez, May pushed both hands in the back to spoil a certain mark to him.

Don't worry, we'll sub Billings off in another 15 mins

Greene is not a maggot. They've started paying kicks when players drop their knees the last few weeks. It's a smart move. The maggots are in yellow

The last 3 weeks we've lost a goal to clear ducking every week.

We made some great attacking runs in the last 5 minutes but that last kick in to the f50 is still killing us.

Windsor's 1 percenters are incredible for a first year player. If he doesn't win the rising star, there's something wrong with our game. (I.e. there's something wrong with our game)

How could you go past our national treasures, The Cosmic Psychos. Macca could wear his best stubbies and crocs. They could sing what is really the TRUE national anthem. The rider might kill the AFL finances. I watched them down 5 beers each in a 25 minute set at bigsound one year. Name another song you've ever heard that talks about chips, sauce and beetroot.

The AFL is a political organisation in the entertainment business. We have a core set of viewers who'll tune in anyway. How do we get more viewers who wouldn't normally watch? Let's get a famous American artist who's on the slide who'll be a bit cheaper. Paul Kelly, Mark Seymour, Mick Thomas, King Stingray, Amyl and the Sniffers, The Chats. The grand final in Perth under lockdown put on a cracking mix of Australian music. Best pre match entertainment I can remember. Nope, has to be a yank.

But you can guarantee a media piece about "how tough and brave" the players are and her mind is blown.
  13. Windsor for mine, he has some real Robbie Flower about him. Pace, skill and for a first year player, a real calmness about how he handles pressure and traffic. Yes we need talls, and yes May is great but starting to slow down a little and we need Petty to replace him. However, even if he went back into defence, I'm not confident about his confidence and fitness yet. The game is getting faster, we need more fast outside players along with some talls. Windsor is going to be an absolute gun and it's best we wrap him up now. A stellar debut season.
  14. He copped a lovely punch to the back of the head at one point directly in front of goal. Dropped the mark for some strange reason and deemed a fair contest, play on. JVR was not holding much a few months ago and now he's clunking them. Disco seems to be at least getting into the right position at the moment. He's improving for sure.
  15. Yep, that's the bit that did my head in most. Ok. You go in with a plan and strategy but if they're pulling so many cheap goals over the back, by quarter time you have to adjust. There seemed to be no change in our tactics and setup until it was all too late. Again! Thrashed in the same way by the same team in under 2 months. C'mon FD do your job. This doesn't let the players off the hook but geez, if you're playing a high press game and you're watching them waltz it out everytime. It must be crushing trying to stick to a method that is obviously not working.
  16. Yep, I gotcha. We seem to be quite amazing at coming up with a strategy and sticking with it ALL game even when it's clearly not working. 10 mins left and there's still loose Freo players everywhere in their f50 It's that same old question mark about our lack of flexibility and adapting mid game if something is not working.
  17. Which is all cool if we're winning the stoppages......
  18. His pack marking is just coming on so well
  19. How on earth did we select a mature age AFL forward who can not kick a goal from 35m out?
  20. Just before that. He jogged after his opponent, Pearce as he made a contest in the centre. He just stopped and watched him. Fritsch drives me mad with his laziness and lack of aggression and work rate. I'm sure he'll pick up some cheapies at the end when the game is done.
  21. Yep, 3 to 1 I reckon. Compare that to Freos forward entries.
  22. The Selwood duck is well and truly back over the last fortnight
  23. He's applying no pressure and just looks stuffed
  24. Send Petty back, TMac into ruck and JVR has to stay forward. Gotta try something
  25. The ump should just hand the ball to Darcy for centre bounces.
