My heart skipped a beat when I read the first training report saying they had the team kicking for goal....... With no trick shots from the boundary. Our accuracy in general at kicking for goal has been horrible and costed us loads of critical games. Really hoping they clean this aspect up. Tracc has had the yips for years

You'd swear these (mostly) blokes wanted AFLW to fail. Finals are on and it's all about the wildcard. They could have held off until the finals finished and have pushed them in the media and broadcasters a little more

One coach would just freeze. The other coach at least moves the limited chess pieces he has. We just need our key personnel back. I'm sure we'll end up shafted with Zanker missing next week somehow. The women have done incredibly well to finish second. We weren't that far off even though we were short and didn't play that well. The effort by most of the players out there today should be commended. We're still in the hunt. Goldy, Chaplin and Zanker would have made a huge difference today if they were out there

Those three free kicks in front of goal in the second were killers too, but yeah. Personnel. I don't know how we're going to talk our way around Zanker getting a run next week. Did I say I hate Davidson?

Kate Hore is just an incredible footballer. Lions the better team. Midfield killed us and their accuracy. Proud of the girls. Geez I hope Goldy and Zanks and Chaps are back next week.

The siren went as it left the boot. Took the ump ages to blow the whistle until after it crossed the goal line FFS. Macca and Hore were amazing that quarter. No use going to Harris when she's got 2 on her. And... What on earth is going on with Banno this season? It's not just that the attacking runs have disappeared, her defensive efforts seem effortless. There was a period halfway through the third on the half back flank where she attempted to tackle three times in a row for no effect. She just seemed to jog at her opponents. She's a senior player that needs to step up in these type of games. This would be a win for the ages to get up from here
