  1. He copped a lovely punch to the back of the head at one point directly in front of goal. Dropped the mark for some strange reason and deemed a fair contest, play on. JVR was not holding much a few months ago and now he's clunking them. Disco seems to be at least getting into the right position at the moment. He's improving for sure.
  2. Yep, that's the bit that did my head in most. Ok. You go in with a plan and strategy but if they're pulling so many cheap goals over the back, by quarter time you have to adjust. There seemed to be no change in our tactics and setup until it was all too late. Again! Thrashed in the same way by the same team in under 2 months. C'mon FD do your job. This doesn't let the players off the hook but geez, if you're playing a high press game and you're watching them waltz it out everytime. It must be crushing trying to stick to a method that is obviously not working.
  3. Yep, I gotcha. We seem to be quite amazing at coming up with a strategy and sticking with it ALL game even when it's clearly not working. 10 mins left and there's still loose Freo players everywhere in their f50 It's that same old question mark about our lack of flexibility and adapting mid game if something is not working.
  4. Which is all cool if we're winning the stoppages......
  5. His pack marking is just coming on so well
  6. How on earth did we select a mature age AFL forward who can not kick a goal from 35m out?
  7. Just before that. He jogged after his opponent, Pearce as he made a contest in the centre. He just stopped and watched him. Fritsch drives me mad with his laziness and lack of aggression and work rate. I'm sure he'll pick up some cheapies at the end when the game is done.
  8. Yep, 3 to 1 I reckon. Compare that to Freos forward entries.
  9. The Selwood duck is well and truly back over the last fortnight
  10. He's applying no pressure and just looks stuffed
  11. Send Petty back, TMac into ruck and JVR has to stay forward. Gotta try something
  12. The ump should just hand the ball to Darcy for centre bounces.
  13. Today..... There appears to be no such thing.
  14. To two Freo players? No-one was in our f50 Where's the run from his team mates. He had to go backwards
  15. Turner punched fair in the back of the head. Play on
  16. Langdon playing well. Great tackle
  17. We really miss not having JVR as a full time forward. Fantastic pressure by the dockers so far.
  18. Got the feeling the backs may have a busy day
  19. Is that Goody giving him a bake at quarter time?,😁
  20. That was a great little video and it was really good to see Clarry enjoying himself. I'm of the view that we don't have to wait until next year to see the best of him. Slowly but surely his tank is building and he's starting to have an influence in games. I don't see any reason why he can't be having a big impact in the next few weeks as the fight for a good finals berth is on the table. He looked really relaxed and happy in the rooms after last week's win. We need him to get back to at least 80 percent of his best this year and I reckon he can do it.
  21. Great package @The Mighty Demons thanks. His work through traffic in front of goals is incredible but I think there were 2 goals in that clip that personifies how hard he works. One against North and then another against GWS where he gathers, gives off to team mates deep on the wing both times and then just gut runs through the play to take the ball in the forward line to kick the goal. The guy isn't just a deep forward show off. He works his backside off for his team offensively and defensively. I reckon you could put another package together of his chase downs, spoils and intercepts. He's a joy to watch
  22. Totally agree @Willmoy1947. A lot of the times in the past, he's had to make the decision to fly because there were one or two opposition about to easily mark the ball. Our entries were poor and you can see he almost always stays down if our tall forwards are competing. He's so fast at getting back on his feet anyway. With Eddie Betts retired now, I think he's the most skillful and exciting player in the league. I've loved the way he's continued to learn to dial down the more aggressive elements of his game. The package of his offensive and defensive elements together make him more valuable than his counterparts such as Cameron and Bolton. People miss the one percenters he often does so well. Watching him come from beside the kicker to crumb the ball down field in our forward line is something else I hope we get to see him dance in the red and blue in a couple more Grand finals yet. Congrats Kozzie!
  23. I'd prefer to see Pup Brown rather than Bailey get a proper run in the seniors rather than just get splinters in his rrrse.
  24. The last quarter was crazy. It started with that head high free against May directly in front of goal. It was a text book Selwood move with the Essendon bloke just sliding down to collect the fee. I knew the umps would try hard to even the keel after that. I was really impressed by the pressure we applied for the majority of the last quarter. It was so good to see the way we just chased and harassed the bombers, even as the umps continued with their nonsense. I remember just wishing they'd get it out of the backline to Windsor. First year player that is just so calm and steady. An incredible get for our club. I gotta say I doubted Goodwin and the club going back a month ago, but we've just lifted our energy and aggression and it's wonderful to see. If we can keep playing with the same run and pressure, anything could happen. I really thought we'd slide off a cliff. It's quite remarkable how well we're turning things around. Pickett, Mcvee. Rivers, Windsor, Kolt, AMW, JVR and Disco There's some great young talent in there that are growing in confidence. Go Dees
  25. Haha 3rd time lucky with this one fd
