  1. How about his "In the first half melbourne were like one of those nervous African dictators, always taking a different route home"
  2. I doubt the jibe is meant at anyone on these boards tbh. I think it's meant more people like my friend, who go for the dees but would rather watch Eurovision than go to the game
  3. You can chuck Beau Robertson on the regards list
  4. Yeah fair enough, he seems a worry to me to. Though, it must be said, i haven't seen him at Sandy of late.
  5. Not to mention how long they take to give holding the ball. When Bate got the holding the ball against Young (great tackle), the ump went into his initial pose, and took about 5 seconds to finish it it seemed. Anyone else see that?
  6. Maybe write your letter here, and everyone can put their name at the bottom before you send it in?
  7. Round 9 has just been completed people. The date at present is the 26-05-2008. That's right, May. Can we please leave all talk of trades until, say, round 18? It achieves nothing before this point, and even little at that point
  8. I think you'd have to talk to the AFL, or channel 7. Because fox have to show 2 sunday games live don't they? to keep 4 a round. Maybe try to get a hold of a media relations person from the AFL?
  9. Too right we can beat them, but more importantly, we MUST show the same attack on the ball and the man that we did yesterday. We were so much harder than Tassie yesterday, and simply must carry it into the match against the "Soft" Saints. (Like Lyon's comment won't be firing his boys up, so we'll NEED to be as tough) This is how you gain respect in the AFL community, and it's imperative we are consistently hard at the ball
  10. Jones actually cost us yesterday!!! He has kicked a goal in 14 matches, but we have only won 3 of those!! Our record is 3-11 when he kicks a goal, and 1-3 when he kicks multiple goals. Jonesy, now really!
  11. I think is showing a lot largely as a result of confidence shown in him by Bailey. I thought he beat Franklin yesterday. Two of his goals were from outside 50 from good work up field, both times Garland was right with him. Great effort, hope he keeps it up
  12. One i'll say that hurt, as much as our own fault, was towards the end of the third. (i thought we tired toward the end of the last 3 quarters) But towards the end we went out by 13. PJ had a chance to put us 19 up, missed, then Bell but put it on the full. We had the ball but didn't do enough with it. Hawks went forward, Roughead should've been done for holding the ball but wasn't, Rioli goaled and completely shifted the momentum
  13. If Bell is dropped for his skills, how does Bruce go? Why drop a 22 year old for a 31 year old? Jamar out before Bell i think, need White in
  14. I think his breasts are great
  15. I saw no guts on the ground, and at no stage did I see players stop tackling or trying because of it, so i hardly see how they said "why bother" Furthermore, Davey's tackle was in the back, and whilst Williams' free at the end shouldn't have been paid, we'd still have been 12 points time with not enough time. We weren't going to win when Hawthorn ran over us, it wasn't the umpires fault. Watch the game again, we got a lot of iffy frees to, not to mention a lot were let go. Move on and enjoy the amount of pressure we put on
  16. Ha, i like that Ackland was reported for "allegedly" striking, but Austin was reported for striking. Any news on Wheels?
  17. That Bailey is not taking us in the right direction - that despite the fact there are times in the match where we let ourselves down through our skill level, our gameplan is starting to click over, we are using the handball effectively and starting to properly pressure the opposition; That Jones and Mclean don't have leadership qualities; That Miller doesn't have what it takes to become a good half forward player; That Brad Green is soft; That Garland isn't coming along; That Bruce's disposal doesn't need work and; That Davey isn't back to, or at least near, his best Should watch yesterday's match at least two more times, especially the first half, and middle of the Second in particular. Now, obviously I am not saying these things simply because of this match, but it just seemed to be very symptomatic. All of these things i'd already thought just seemed to form into actuality during the course of this game, and i'm very optimistic for the future. Go the Dees
  18. Would still like clarification re: Bell.
  19. I'd say it's more to do with the players coming around to Bailey and the gameplan than vice versa, after all it isn't the coach's job to appease the players.
  20. It didn't cost us, but it's still annoys me that it left me thinking 'what if' more than 'well done.' Shocking decisions in the last quarter, one for Williams was probably the worst
  21. Agree completely, very well handled and thank to the Hawks for being a part of it. Will miss the Great Man, wasn't easy saying goodbye
  22. Yeah, i agree. They seemed very respectful during his lap, and credit to Clarko for running over to the car, and for their players making the guard of honour. Very respectful of the great man
  23. Wasn't Bell on Williams? Who was pretty rubbish despite good delivery and a dodgy umpiring decision
