I think Petterd is a fixture in the team when fit, but i agree it's too early to make him a leader of the club, especially if he can't get his body right. Too much pressure if nothing else

He had one good year, and a few Ok ones. Whelan has played the whole 8.5 years as a solid, very reliable defender. Bizz played 88 games for us, Wheels is on 130. Whelan has been kept out largely through injury, having rarely missed when fit, whereas Bizzell struggled to find a spot in the team once Rivers came in. I know he was injured throughout '06, but personally i'd take a more reliable, consistent player over the course of the decade, over a player who had a few good seasons and then fell away

Consdering that we started the entire sport, we should've just locked out every other team. We'd have 150 premierships, Ablett, Matthews, Coleman, Coventry, Mchail, Doull, Carey all would've worn the Red and Blue. At present we'd have the All Australian team running around. How depressing. Missed opportunity that!

Take out that last game, which he clearly revved himself up for, and travis averages 2.5 tackles a game at Brisbane. He averaged 2.6 for the dees over his last 3 years, so i'd like to see him sustain it before i'll make comments like the Brisbane culture is making him a better player

I reckon as Bailey continues putting his faith into him, his confidence will grow and he will attack the game a little more, i think he's looking much better of lat
