  1. Because he had the mark that counted as his prior opportunity. So as soon as play on is called for taking to long, if he hasn't correctly disposed of it (which he didnt) it's holding the ball. Every time
  2. Members' email said there'd be a lap of honour, in a Volvo C30 no less! I'll be there to honour the great man for the first of many times i believe
  3. For one, Simmonds wanted to leave and we weren't going to chose him ahead of our AA ruckman, a stature Simmonds have never reached, pretty much the same story for Jolly, just lucky for him he now has a premiership. Sewell for Ferguson rested on Ferguson's shoulders as he was contracted, and he didn't want to leave. Judd was a money hungry $%^ and said more about himself than of the club. I wouldn't want Nick Stevens anyway. We couldn't have kept Scott Thompson as he wanted to go home, we had no choice. As for the rest, we all know the draft lies on luck, the same teams who went well on those blundered on others. We've picked many good players when there were worse players going before and after them, the draft is luck and many of your examples were out of our hands.
  4. I think Petterd is a fixture in the team when fit, but i agree it's too early to make him a leader of the club, especially if he can't get his body right. Too much pressure if nothing else
  5. He had one good year, and a few Ok ones. Whelan has played the whole 8.5 years as a solid, very reliable defender. Bizz played 88 games for us, Wheels is on 130. Whelan has been kept out largely through injury, having rarely missed when fit, whereas Bizzell struggled to find a spot in the team once Rivers came in. I know he was injured throughout '06, but personally i'd take a more reliable, consistent player over the course of the decade, over a player who had a few good seasons and then fell away
  6. Consdering that we started the entire sport, we should've just locked out every other team. We'd have 150 premierships, Ablett, Matthews, Coleman, Coventry, Mchail, Doull, Carey all would've worn the Red and Blue. At present we'd have the All Australian team running around. How depressing. Missed opportunity that!
  7. It was a joke, hence all the dots
  8. It was your most beloved player, Cammy B. Who of course then drilled the set shot.............
  9. There was no succesor named when he was indefinitely out, i don't see why they would change the current set up.
  10. As i said in another thread, at least he had 100% efficiency with his touch
  11. free kicks against count as clangers
  12. Take out that last game, which he clearly revved himself up for, and travis averages 2.5 tackles a game at Brisbane. He averaged 2.6 for the dees over his last 3 years, so i'd like to see him sustain it before i'll make comments like the Brisbane culture is making him a better player
  13. I reckon as Bailey continues putting his faith into him, his confidence will grow and he will attack the game a little more, i think he's looking much better of lat
  14. Love ya Neita! Thank you for all the memories, and personifying all the traits and passions of your loyal fans!
  15. Whelan in for Jamar, and then let the rest figure out if they can play a better game of footy on home turf. I'd like to see Warnock, Garland and Frawley, along with Buckley, getting more consecutive games
  16. Anyone know how the membership is going now?
  17. Moloney 43% Effective Disposals. By my reckoning that makes 7 of his 16 touches hit their target. Not quite using the ball as he should. Good to see jamar hit 100% of targets..........sorry, 100% of target. I thought Jones tried really hard today. Along with Frawley who i think will learn a lot from what he's going through. Also thought Garland showed quite a bit, but still has to keep pushing up the hill as i think he still does too many things wrong, but is only young and only now getting decent game time. Davey is getting back to himself of old, as i think he has been since Alwyn went out. Valenti tried hard. Bartram gave a good run around, good to see him not bugger his ankle on that maggot ground. That's pretty much it i think. Can't think about votes though
  18. Far out, nearly cried. Can the title of this thread please be changed? Very misleading. CB, it'd make his ratio at melbourne 15:7 then wouldnt it, hardly 32:1
  19. wHY oh WHYYYY did we get rid of Woewodin!?!?
  20. Personally, i'll be going down the the Royal Derby Hotel, corner Alexandra Parade and Brunswick st. Nice little place, very laid back, can bring your own food
