What pisses me off is we could have had Rich and Natanui if Carlton weren't cheats. mind you we lost the first 10 and ended up winning 5 games.

Second biggest game of the year apparently. When someone like Lovett-Murray wins the medal, its hardly inspiring. What a load of sh1te this game is, 2 clubs below average at this stage 'battling' it out in an era where physical contact is shunned upon. It's entertainment for the ANZACs and they like it so why not, but yes, don't piant a picture Lovett, Josh Fraser, Alwyn Davey, Scott Pendlebury are 'soldiers' or something.

Bloke here's son is Michael Hurley who will probably go top 10 this year. He questions Natanui and thinks Recruiters are less anamored with him. Doesn't seem to be able to play anything but ruck and gets a bit lost. Daniel Rich looks a surer bet but Natanui could be anything. It's like banking on Buddy Franklin and 4 clubs including Hawthorn passed on him with their first choices.

Was at the game today and positives today for me were: Rivers - in a game where you hold your breath when we kick the ball, he normally delivered well. normally accepted as expected at this level but at the moment hitting a target stands out. Sylvia - in the backline looked very good. beaten in the air at times, but seemed more at home from the back half. much better game and no brainer to keep him back there. still gets sucked in early though. Whelan - not a great game but could see he was tacking them on. just missed a great goal and very attacking. we missed him last 2 years. Robbo - have not been 2 weeks so was wondering what the bagging was about - hello, the bloke is continually against 2 or 3 opponents and was able to keep the ball in the forward line. unfortunately becoming expert at creating ball ins and ball ups till we get numbers up forward. Green - my man to go missing first, but had a good game this week. got early possessions for a change. Mclean - easily our best. Judd was more effective as an opponent but 32 disposals showed another worthwhile game Frawley - really liked his game early but was thrown to the wolves against Fev. Not disgraced by any means. Excellent field kicking and running early. I think he will be something in a couple of years. Bartram - liked his game - still missing some touch but pace is a welcome addition. will get better. A few weeks and he will be in the centre tagging on ball and frustrating key players. Just a couple of negatives: Jamar - woeful at times, mis-kick half foward was a shocker. I think the umpire felt sorry for him and gave a free when he dived on the ball. Mostly ineffective. White - should have dominated today but didn't. delivery was bad though.

A slower, softer, older player unwanted by every team in the AFL. I know who I prefer.

Johstone is an overated down hill skier of the highest proportions and we were like bandits to get pick 16 for this bloke. So he is going to a side that wins one, loses one. His first games have been inconsistent and he played well on the weekend. please tell me what has changed? Matthews will get frustrated with him soon enough. He is on a high at the moment. what was it again, a top 10 B and F finish on 1 or 2 occasions was it? Will get 3 or 4 BOG and lose Brisbane games with his total lack of defensive skills and softness. The first of a few to go !!

Neitz will retire this season no doubt. Yze will be another certainty to retire. I think we will cull Jamar, Chris Johnson, Garland,Warnock amongst others. I also think they may put up Green or Bruce as serious trade bait. It will be interesting to see what White and McDonald do as they will be required players. Miller was signed amazingly for 2 years, so will be here next year. hopefully we will seesomething like Bruce and top draft pick for Jonathon Brown. At the very least we will get Natanui by the looks of things so far.

White played equally as well as Kreuzer on the weekend. Lets put the hype into perspective, Rys Palmer played extremely well 24 possesions, Cale Morton 22 possesion and 2 goals, but Kreuzer with 16 possesions gets the articles written about him. he also got beaten badly in the last quarter by Hill in the ruck contests as well which was critical to Essendon storming home. He does 'look' good but lets put it into perspective. If he plays to his full potential, he will be another Josh Fraser ,and could have a career like Jeff Whites.

I will f$ckin spew if Carlton win 4 games or less. Given they need to win on average every 4 weeks to get 5 wins this season, I fear they will struggle.

I disagree, he is 1 cm taller than Glass and Scarlett and will fill out. Let me ask you - how many key defenders are starring at 19 years of age? give the bloke some time to develop. He has the attributes. Micky Martin played 300 games with two premierships. and people thought he was complete rubbish when he first started. You do not have to be a superstar, but you do have to learn the game. I would rather him come in later , when we are a little more cohesive in our play and he isn't on a hiding to nothing.

SMART SMART move. i am sick of hearing Green and Robbo rattling of words of praise and signs of turning the corner. we won two games last year and Green was singing our praises. We rest too easy and at least not hearing these blokes thoughts makes it more palatable. McDonald recently had constructive words as to why we are losing, not just bullsh1t. He should be the only one to talk.

Why is Bruce bagged so often. His first half was good yesterday and once again played well on Johnson. I am happy if he wins his position most of the time.

my god, getting rid of Green would be a dream come true. Since start of last year is the worst offender of 'going missing' in our team. Sylvia does not look the loyal dedicated type. pick 20 for him may be good.

I agree, give him a go, he is 19 and 191 cm tall, looks to have some pace. Not many key position kids are going that well at 19. and usually they are the superstars like Reiwoldt. If our supporters on this forum were coaches we would never get a KPP as we have zero patience and they take longer to develop. Both Garland and Frawley need all the opportunities and who knows one may become a very good shut down defender. I say give them a go. No use in sacking them after a bad performance, as they probably learn twice as fast than at Sandy. Have a go at the senior players like Green who have had 8 years now and just disappear completely at times.

Though we started much better today, and I thought actually had the doggies on toast early we went forward in waves and had them back peddling but could not tackle to save ourselves. Thought Cale Morton played beautifully in patches. definitely one to watch in future. improved on last week. not bad for a 2nd gamer. Return of Clint Bartram. We all love him and did a job on Acker early before the flood gates opened. Nathan Carrol. Credit has to go when thousands bag him as he faces mission impossible each week without a KPP down there to help out. Reckon I counted about 7 marks first quarter by playing in front !! Though was very good early. Would go ok as a third tall, as he isn't that slow. Rucks were better today and Johnson consistent. Macca and Jones fought it out with all their heart as usual. I am not too dissapointed in Garland and Weetra as they are young, But thought Mclean was very dissapointing today. and lastly - we got beaten by less than 100 points !!

Tackle Melbourne, FFS. If I watch us catch another scraggers player and just bounce off I will f%cking scream. Tackle them FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can cope with errors in tight traffic but not tackling, pinning the doggies player down and trodding on him is just not on. We just let them run, and they have the confidence to take on ANY Melbourne player and break the tackle. Have some f$cking pride Melbourne. Is Jones the only one willing to fly the flag and put up a fight !!??!?!?!??!?!

how is Frawley going - I see his named on the wing for Sandy !?!?!? maybe we do need our own seconds. Lamb playing full back ahead of Frawley does f$ck all for us at the Melbourne footbal club. He is a bit bigger this year and needs to be in defence. I think he could develop into a real defensive type of player that can shut down one particular player. The Rivers types are more creative, but we need Frawley to just take a man and be told to shut him down for the afternoon, and if they are a foot taller or 10 kg heavier, then so be it. He can then learn how to play on the big boys. how is his development going ?

Demon Rob, my point is I paid $155 for a membership which can go to anyone really as I won't use it. My boy is 13 months old so a little young and I don't know demon supporters under 15. I am sure a marketing mind can come up with a campaign to sponsor a new demon to MCC members if there is some sort of attachment there. Maybe there are groups, international travellers, local sporting clubs, charities anything with some faces to illicit some sort of emotional response. There is truckloads of cashed up MCC members who could buy a simple $150 membership if it went to a good cause. If we could get bums on seats as well, then we are cooking. Redfin, the donatee may not go to games, but what I am suggesting it may get the MCC member to get out the credit card though. Getting them to go is step two !! If world vision asked my wife for some money, she may or may not give, but paint a 'real' picture of someone, a person, a child who benefits and bang, there is the emotional attachment. Anyway, DeeReaming has given me the proper contact at the club (thanks mate !!!) I will put something together and see if it gets anywhere, and keep you posted. Please post any good thoughts to add to this idea. I am not 100% sure on this but what I am sure of is, I sit amongst some wealthy families and the Dees need them. They fork out hundreds of dollars to Spotless catering each year after all. Ok, second idea - cut your own lunch and buy a membership !!

Hey guys, I was just thinking of a marketing idea to get new memberships. I am an MCC member and typically have not purchased a Melbourne F C membership, but this year decided to buy the full Melbourne membership, which I did on Sunday. Now, I won't actually use it, so do clubs have any facility to donate the membership perhaps to underpriviledged people, through Red Cross or whoever ?? I know I can donate it to a child under 15, but I don't know anyone. I am thinking if there are one quarter MCC members barracking for Melbourne (I heard that somewhere, seems a bit high perhaps), and if a lot are like me, and pay top dollar for MCC, they may still be pushed over to get a MFC membership if it could be donated to charity or a worthwhile cause. i.e a person who cannot afford a membership. If my wife donates to Wrold Vision and we get a letter every so often from a child to create some sort of attachment, then why not do the same for MFC memberships e.g perhaps to a chinese student ?? who knows. Good source of say $10,000 X $165 = $1.65 Mill. If we can get one quarter of that then thats $400,000. What are your thoughts ?
