Pedo's best position is in the ruck. losing hit outs and getting 15 possessions and kicking a couple of goals. whilst the opposition ruck gets 5 possies and 50 meaningless tap outs.

Hogan ?

proven ? proven late in the season ? how was it proven? a camp7 or so months earlier ? if this is the case I would be seething as a coaching group. absolutely seething.

agree it doesn't look good. Not sure on the Watts trade. why was that poorly handled?. it was never going to be easy but they got a fair trade in the end i.e second rounder. how else could they have done it?

Agreed. For the life of me i don't know why. a good creative midfielder, good shot for goal, excellent elite tagger as well, is played where he is least suited. Play him mid/half forward and he will do a decent job and kick 20-30 goals. personally i'd be tempted to give him 'run with' rolls on the stars. it suits him and he is very good at it.

exactly and I think now is the time for them to step up into more midfield time. As well as Petracca, and hopefully Vandenburg is up and running this year, as we need that bigger bodied bullrunning through there. also think he has some toe others like Tyson don't have.

Yeah thought his comeback was way too early. if this becomes an issue, you have to ask some questions. getting injured in the swans game suggests he came back far too early.

pre-season form is hard to get excited about after last year. Brayshaw and Hogan were absolutely flying all summer and looking a million bucks from reports. but too many other factors can effect your season. were they unexpected and unlucky ? absolutely. but expect the unexpected at AFL level. others like Hibberd started late and were in rehab mostly, start the season round 4 and become All Australian.

its a good sign to see the 2nd and 3rd categories so well stacked. I generally agree and maybe Lewis and Vince will drop off a bit in their autumn years now. I think the extra we will gain from Salem and Brayshaw will be more about getting them consistently on the park and performing. They already have both shown plenty. same goes for Hogan. I also think Oliver can improve quite a bit in metres gained. so often he doesn't go forward almost by auto pilot. he could break games open more and become even better.

I remember the hawks passing over two first rounders for Burgoyne with bad knees. theysaw their target and got it over the line. We saw our target, yes I thought we could have done better but we have him now. I couldn't spend another season watching the McDona;ld brothers turn the ball over with little pressure. Now we half at least half a backline who can kick in Lever, Hibberd and Jetta. Also the Vince deal was worth it every day of the week. and Melksham for pick 25?. Let us know who you would have chosen that was better. He was good this year.
