Loved Connolly as a player but he has been paid out in full and is lucky because he helped us underachieve massively during the "Mates" regime! The club has to stop giving long term senior positions to people who are unproven and then even extending their contracts only to sack them and pay them out soon after. How many thousands of dollars are we gunna pay in 2014 for people who are no longer at the club ???? Must stop this, the AFL has only so much to give us and we are still a long way from filling spaces with "better suited achievers" ! FFS get it right.

Connolly a big under achiever in what he actually got done. Please don't get him back in 5 years time! Neil Craig, thanks for your honest efforts!

Warning, warning,.................... whoever our club manages to entice simply must have some pace, legspeed, quickness, or whatever you choose to call it, period! Without this facet we are still 5-8 years from winning consistently.

Our immediate problem seems to be no-one really wants to join a club with a losing culture. Thanks to players such as Sylvia we have a lot of selling to do to get any draft/trade interest towards our club. We must never allow our players to be so continuously pathetic again.

Miller was renowned as an outstanding Leader ?????????? Jones is by far the best choice to be 2014 Captain for a few very strong reasons. Firstly he stays fit enough to actually be on the park for us most weekends.(for a few years now !!!) Secondly he has the biggest heart of all of our list by quite some margin. ( never shirks, always hard at it, and does get the pill much more often) Thirdly he leads by example on the field (and you are totally wrong about his off-field ability which includes his camera manner too). And then there is his passion which is also unbeaten by any other player. The two Jacks have tried very hard but were found to be a little overawed by stronger opponents more often than not. Jonesy has faults but he is a natural leader whereas the other two or three were thrown in at the deep end by an inept coaching and selection group who have been mainly replaced !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wait till we give the Swandivers a taste of hot "Roos and his boys". Karma!

He's a soft nobody!

Very good footballer but the risk is massive, so are his demands. Wouldn't bend over too far to get him but a similar player without baggage would be high on our priority list. What we are forgetting is we need a huge dose of legspeed and endurance running. Martin offers a bit of endurance but is not lightning fast. Very risky consideration for us! I say no. Roos would know more and will be circumspect in his overall consideration!

What has Cross done in the last season? Another fanciful, hugely talented player that we should chase vigorously? You are kidding, if he can't get a game at the Dogs we don't want him. Pick another kid with speed and heart, not another hasbeen! Look to the future............................not the past.

We simply need to rid ourselves of those inept non performers who have been hanging around just for a pay packet. Roos is no dill and will see through a few hangers-on that [censored] themselves everytime another opposition player comes near them.............we have a few of these. I'd prefer to put up with slow, less talented goers, than some of the poor minded wimps that we have had to endure lately. Let Roos do want he wants to do and watch a gradual transformation occur. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen. Could be the best thing to happen at the MFC since Robbie Flower first suited up for us!

For a start, maybe Vlad being here instead of OS could have pushed this along a little. Maybe under their own AFL rules of behaviour they could have charged the efc with UNAPPROVED substances and therefore conduct unbecoming or any number of new things that the AFL usually "make up on the run". Maybe they could have asked the efc if they had correct procedural approval for any of these substances that they administered. Maybe Hirds relationship with a few shady types should have been looked at much earlier. Perhaps the AFL could have had their most senior execs and not an understudy report on the findings a few weeks ago. Perhaps the AFL needed to shore up the approved substance list for all clubs way before all this broke news way back then...........etc etc etc The AFL have shown a distinct lack of leadership, direction and governance in this whole matter. The efc have run rings around them, and thus far, continue to do so.

Sick of all this dragged out uncertainty by Vlad. What a donkey brain, he is. F C S make up yr mind and charge the f'n cheats who also have a pack of inept players health and welfare managers. Harden the f up all you softies. I was Daveys greatest admirer 4 years ago. Our club cannot afford to carry non performers, who no longer are able to be efficient, onfield. He was even not capable anymore back in 2011!!!!! He is now injury prone and no longer in our best 22. Sentiment has no place in a floundering business and we need to move on. Maybe offer him a mentoring position otherwise thanks for the memories Aaron!

Why would you have Viney and Mahoney on a committee to pick our next coach? He will be their boss as it presently stands. I do support the retention of Todd but ???????? Stupid decision that needs to be revoked. PJ needs to show some balls and change this or it will bite us on the arse soon enough. The club needs to make only smart, impartial decisions now, not convenient, mushy ones that may incidently benefit those already employed, but in a more minor position.
