Brownlow tipping. 1,2,3 and club best total.
In Harmes Way replied to maximum bob's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Clarry doesn't win it, being rated 15% better than anyone else in the league by all the coaches, then it's just another example of the umpires having NFI and reinforces why I yell at them for poor decisions every week. -
Gees that was a big night. Hope the month of September pans out the same.

I reckon he got picked under the best clubman category. Looks like he enjoys a beer.
-
But they prefaced the two wingers' selections based on the improvements in their inside games..... Not sure why Maysie didn't get the nod at full forward given he's had a couple of pings at goals this year.

Coaches award: Bont and Wines equal second on 101 votes Clarry wins on 114 votes. #watchhimcome5thinthebrownlow

The matter of stats website has us as premiership favourites with a 30% probability of winning. I’ll take that!

Shaun Burgoyne?
-
It's a quote from the movie Major League.

Unfortunately, I reckon there will be a correlation between the umpire free kick differential and the team the brownlow winner comes from. Doggies lead a charmed life with the umpires on free kicks, no reason they won't also have affirmation bias when it comes to their voting.

Hassa Mann to be interviewed on Nine news tonight

I wonder if dees supporters will remember Max's goal on the weekend like this in 50 years time? -
Wouldn't it be funny if Carlton are the only club to put up their hand and Cerra decided to stay at Freo instead.
-
Does this mean we play unsociable footy?
-
In days gone by, there'd be a post or three that would suggest three of our spuds for Cerra + a decent pick. I think we've made it.
-
Given we only played 10 away games, it's not quite right to call Max a [censored] for the away captain [censored] at our home games who got it wrong.
-
If this were to happen, then the AFL should drop the idea of holding the bye altogether. To have non WA teams sit in isolation for 14 days without their families waiting for a game of football is just cruel. Another example of the AFL looking after themselves at the expense of the clubs that actually deliver their product.

GWS had to strongly encourage him to be the stand in captain when Coniglio went down, he didn't want the job. Not sure how you can have him as AA captain on that basis.

TMac won't be the difference between us winning and losing. We need Tom to get some games under his belt - if we drop him this week, and we win; then that's a big block of time he hasn't played games and we'd then be looking to bring him back into a prelim underdone. I think he must play.

Be even better if you could get Celine Dion to sing "and you know that your heart does beat true"

I'm surprised it was only 94 intercept marks for the year. It looked like he took about 50 in the second half last night alone.

Norm Smith wore #4. End of the curse.
-
Exactly this. May wasn’t even in control of the ball, and didn’t register a disposal. So how can it be insufficient intent? And the Geelong player who toe poked the ball OOB under Melb pressure, from about s metre away with no Geelong player in sight in the last qtr. How was that not deliberate? I counted three frees against us, none against them. Symptomatic of the umpiring on the night.

I reckon Tom Sparrow deserves a shout out after some of the commentary on here over the last couple of weeks. He played a massive game.
