  1. There's a difference daz between Sound the alarm and Sound the alarm documentary. No longer alarmed however.
  2. I thought something had gone wrong, or someone was injured. Maybe retitle the thread to Book it in to your calendar or similar?
  3. My primary school aged son and I did this trip back in 2016? when we kicked 16 goals in the second half. Metricon is a fair way out of the Gold Coast. Back then (probably still the same), your ticket allowed for public transport to/from the ground. Given we left it a bit late, we caught a taxi out to the ground to watch the game. Great ground, it feels a lot fuller than crowd numbers suggested. We got tickets through the club (upper level, great view and friendly neighbours). My boy and I had a kick on the ground after the game for what seemed like ages to let the queue for the buses die down a bit (and it was fun!) and then caught a bus/tram back to the hotel . Great atmosphere on the public transport with multiple renditions of the song. My boy loved the weekend and I'm sure is keen to go back
  4. I’m happy with any article that plays us down
  5. I loved the new angles and the footage at half time and the boundary line discussions. Really good watch - I found myself talking back to it in a rather pumped up manner.
  6. If you can get suspended in a preseason game, you might as well also get premiership points
  7. No surprise the Kangaroos skipper isn't even sitting in the same postcode as the cup
  8. I loved and totally agreed with the comment on Harmes' kick to Fritta "best kick of the year"
  9. Yep, agree. Even with 1987, they skip from slipping into the 5 through to losing the prelim. Those 2 winning finals in 1987 where we belted the roos and then the swans were absolute highlights of the 1980's, but don't fit in with the 57 years of pain narrative.
  10. I suggested to my old man (Dees supporter) show this to his brother (Dogs supporter) to let him know we got his name put on our flag for perpetuity. Just to really rub it in.
  11. What a finish to the season. Anybody have an idea of what margin difference vs Crows game we'd need to better them by to take top spot?
  12. I love McNamara, she's full of beans.
  13. First team to ever crack 100 points in an AFLW game. Congrats ladies, you've made history. Great game to watch all round.
  14. The overlap handball is absolutely divine. As is the leading into space. Scintillating stuff.
  15. And then Sherriff repays the favour with a ripper of a pass to Paxy
  16. Selfless pass by Paxy to Sherriff rather than running in and having a shot. Great stuff.
  17. Tayla Harris is a terrific focal point, such a strong overhead mark. And a clever kick too. That was a ripper in the 2nd qtr to Daisy for a goal.
  18. You get an idea of the mindset when the side are 7 goals down but lose by 5 points.
  19. I thought the 50m penalties for "delays" in getting the ball back to the player awarded the free kick made the game really hard to watch. It was interesting that Jordon and Langdon got 50's for "clarifying" who should get the ball before handing it over, and Oliver got a 50m penalty against him for giving the ball back to the wrong player because he didn't ask. So you're damned if you clarify, and damned if you don't, but inadvertently give the ball to the wrong player because you don't know who should have it.
  20. Hope Weid kicks 10.
  21. That last goal still brings a tear to the eye....
  22. They must be using an early version sat nav which is taking them the long way.
  23. I'm not sure she can pull off this look
  24. I still can't fathom why he thought half the Perth based crowd would leave before the end of the game because we were giving them a belting.
