  1. I love watching these goals over and over, but every time I see the bloke in the crowd tearing up, it gets me every time.
  2. I'm with you Cassie. Let's play the Suns, beat them by 98 points and rub the AFL up the wrong way for their failed experiment. This feeling of arrogance could be great fun.
  3. Are you including the AFLX triumph in this?
  4. I'm enjoying watching the season games on Kayo, and cringing at the (Ch 7) commentators who come out with exactly the same stuff week after week. Given their apparent laziness, I wonder how they're going to handle the "same old Melbourne" next season.
  5. when the ball is in the air heading towards Lever in a defensive marking contest, my boy shrieks RRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK LLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR Invariably Jake marks the ball and I laugh every time.
  6. But we're going to need more space for the next group of cups.
  7. If I ever run into Jason Taylor on the street, he's going to be mighty surprised when I give him a bear hug out of nowhere.
  8. Who else just jumped straight over to melbournefc.com.au to see if the news had dropped yet?
  9. Mine turned up yesterday Cassie. I'd reckon yours won't be far away.
  10. Reunion? This lot will still be in their premiership window in 10 years time.
  11. If I was voting, he'd be the first player to make the AFL Hall of Fame whilst actually still playing.
  12. I was particularly moved with the vision of John Stanaway on the sidelines - there are so many unsung heroes as well.
  13. I generally find this list pretty cringey, given all the criticisms above. I did like this line on Clayton Oliver though: ROBBO SAYS: Batman and Robin … nuh, it is Batman and Batman, Oliver and Petracca.
  14. I’m glad he came to us to win a flag and it actually happened. The bloke’s a ripper too.
  15. I feel like a wine waiter… can I recommend the third quarter of the prelim, strong notes of Max Gawn with delicious moments of Petracca and no undesirable Geelong aromas to speak of.
  16. Was that the damage from the lid flying off?
  17. My view is the club are rewarding these guys for a tough year and finals series where they were away from friends and family for the betterment of our best 22 where they weren't going to crack a spot. Fundamentally, this is a "culture" decision where the whole playing group are in focus and the club isn't being mercenary with 7 list spots that won't change whether we contend or not next year. We know what we're going to get with these guys, and it will start with holding a standard through pre-season (the same standard held through the finals series).
  18. As the only MFC Norm Smith medallist ever, I already put him in our list of greats.
  19. As well as the Frawleys
  20. Criteria: Pick someone from Collingwood, Essendon. Richmond and Carlton. Big 4 clubs appeased and will keep audiences up. Then better pick someone from the premiers & runners up or I’ll look stupid. Round out the 10 with interstate sides for national click bait. Done.
  21. It would be good if you could select one of the various radio commentaries on the DVD to watch the game instead of Ch 7 One of the lads over on BF has stitched the radio commentary from MMM, SEN, 3AW, K Rock and ABC to the Ch 7 video. It makes great replay watching with the different audio tracks. SEN particularly good with Gerard Whately and Anthony Hudson.
  22. Objective 1: top 4 finish. Tick Objective 2: Home qualifying final. Tick Objective 3: Week off. Tick Objective 4: Home prelim final. Tick Objective 5: Win the flag. Tick Perfect season, the rest is fluff.
  23. We could always go with a soccer chant during the game my favourite when I lived in the uk was “you’re [censored] and you know you are” (obviously directed at the opposition)
