I'm enjoying watching the season games on Kayo, and cringing at the (Ch 7) commentators who come out with exactly the same stuff week after week. Given their apparent laziness, I wonder how they're going to handle the "same old Melbourne" next season.

I was particularly moved with the vision of John Stanaway on the sidelines - there are so many unsung heroes as well.

My view is the club are rewarding these guys for a tough year and finals series where they were away from friends and family for the betterment of our best 22 where they weren't going to crack a spot. Fundamentally, this is a "culture" decision where the whole playing group are in focus and the club isn't being mercenary with 7 list spots that won't change whether we contend or not next year. We know what we're going to get with these guys, and it will start with holding a standard through pre-season (the same standard held through the finals series).

As the only MFC Norm Smith medallist ever, I already put him in our list of greats.

It would be good if you could select one of the various radio commentaries on the DVD to watch the game instead of Ch 7 One of the lads over on BF has stitched the radio commentary from MMM, SEN, 3AW, K Rock and ABC to the Ch 7 video. It makes great replay watching with the different audio tracks. SEN particularly good with Gerard Whately and Anthony Hudson.
