  1. Optus Stadium = 2 more home games.
  2. Luke has built a lot of credits with respect to the condition he came back from last year's offseason. He was in ripper nick.
  3. It was a great day out. We were stuck in the Punt Rd carpark so missed the start, but had a wander around enjoying the ambience, the past cups etc and sat down to watch the last half. Goosebumps when Harmes laced out Fritta and the crowd went bananas. Got all teary when the crowd loudly celebrated the last minute of the third quarter. I didn't think re-watching the replay would have that effect on me, but it partially closed a grand final experience gap. I thought the touches with the ground GOAL celebrations, the thunder noise and even the small things like the scoreboard & clock keeping time with the replay was top stuff. And the ovation for Neale Daniher. And the past player guard of honour. And Noel McMahen ("It's about bloody time"). We're a classy club.
  4. You’d think we would have the lions share of the crowd on a Wednesday night. I’m thinking the atmosphere would be like the Geelong Elim final in 2018. Once you’re surrounded by that, it won’t matter what day it is.
  5. Just read your profile. Interests: hating the crows. LOL. Agree with the above of course.
  6. First order of business after replanting the goal posts is to relabel the 50 metre arcs to 24.03 Maxie arcs
  7. Interesting when they were speaking about grown men brought to tears, this is me. When I was in the queue to meet the cup yesterday and turned the corner and there it was. When I gave it a hug. Every time I watch the replay (even the third quarter of the prelim). When I hear our coach talk about getting some feedback from champions of different industries on what it takes to back it up and win again. Bang. Bang bang bang. I'm a bloody mess, but a happy one.
  8. If he wins us another 10 flags before he bankrupts us, it will be worth it
  9. When did it arrive Andy?still waiting for my purchase to arrive for my son. Cheers
  10. So not much chance of him coming to my place to fix the lights anytime soon then.
  11. How good is that.
  12. Agree with all above -esp. rebounding after losing both Astbury and Houli and with two average rucks with no depth. Additionally, Dusty was injured in the Round 18 win vs Brisbane. He didn't play the last 5 games, and Richmond were already toast by that point. I wonder what Dermie's analysis of our 2022 injury list will come up with.
  13. I've got a similar problem with Max Gawn. The dog got him and bit half his foot off. I rescued him and now he's blu tacked to the dashboard of the ute like a hawaiin hula dancer.
  14. The week after Cam said in an interview "three hot days doesn't make a summer". Remember it well, we were really up and about. I wasn't quite gutted to the same level as when Ox did his second knee, but it was in the same ballpark.
  15. I was reflecting whilst walking the dog that the obstacles between us and a dynasty are melting away nicely 1. We won our first flag to get off and running 2. Umpire Dean Margetts retired
  16. Did he make your wife disappear?
  17. This might be, picket, but I don't mind that he's learning some good defensive pressure traits in the backline. I've always seen him as a bit loose and happy to take a hanger, kick a goal. I thought this year he moved forward in the accountability department (and skills) which will put him in good stead going forward no matter where they play him.
  18. He had me when he played a ripper on his debut in an otherwise lack lustre team R1 2019 v Port. In a parallel universe, he could have had 4 in the grand final - (1) Fritta marked on goal line, (2) his goal, (3) Max or Tom take Easton Wood out of the goal square contest and the ball goes through and (4) hit up Luke Jackson rather than running into 50 and taking a shot. But that last one shows he's on the selfless bandwagon. Tough as old boots. I hope he's a 10+ year player for us, we'll be at the pointy end for a while as a result.
  19. That is a great list of games to rewatch. Great summary of each as well deebrief, nice job.
  20. Hasn't played in a losing side yet. Coincidence? I think not.
  21. Another 5 years like this one and he might be a chance for All Australian.
  22. Inside mid -> outside mid Congrats to Max and Jess. Great news.
