  1. After a very long time, I'm getting over my deep seated animosity towards my father "guiding" me down the path of being a dees supporter. Hopefully my son doesn't feel the same way. Very much down to our star studded lineup. When Clarry did that one handed pickup under pressure against the Hawks (2016/7?), I knew we were onto a winner.
  2. That's doing it in style.
  3. Given this is a thread about numbers, I thought I’d throw in that todays date is a palindrome (22/02/2022). But I digress. I think the crowd size will be somewhat dependent on ticket prices. I thought last years Anzac Eve would be around 75K but it was only mid 50’s. I know people who didn’t go because it was just too expensive. That said, my guess is 70K, including three generations of dees tragics in my family (and a black sheep doggies supporter)
  4. Wow. What a win. Really gutted it out in the last quarter. Great result.
  5. Having watched the replay a couple of times, my view is that BBB used his forearms not hands in that marking contest, which as I understand it is OK. That said, I'm of the view that JJ's mark was a mark, so I think the two do negate each other as well.
  6. Best of luck to the two girls on debut. A win in enemy territory will really make a statement, and I think we're good for it.
  7. I thought the umpiring in the grand final was pretty good overall excepting the goal umpire who robbed Max of his grand final goal.
  8. I'd buy a pie from there if it wasn't so far away
  9. Agree with the calls for the Ox and Robbie. im going to add Stephen Tingay. I had a massive man crush on him.
  10. The AFL won't be unhappy with Champion Data peddling statistics that give hope to supporters of all the teams that didn't win the flag.
  11. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story
  12. All Australian Committee: Max Gawn for ruck, and captain Champion Data: Computer says no.
  13. Adds some context to your moniker.
  14. Beveridge: At 3QT, the Grand Final should have been postponed.
  15. My understanding is that there were enquiries from Jesse's camp around coming back to us when he left Freo, but we knocked it on the head. That says enough for me.
  16. Interesting he laments leaving the dees and that watching us win a flag was "torture" In a sliding doors world and he was still with us, I wonder who would have made way for him from the grand final team.
  17. Like the ones we had on the back of our 2013 jumper?
  18. Maybe a tad misguided, but If he ever left….
  19. Wouldn’t have been many higher scores by anyone all year I wouldn’t have thought
  20. I'm not one to overstate things, but I reckon Trac will be the best player to ever play the game. They should start sizing him up for a statue now while bronze prices are good.
  21. If plugger can get in, then Trac needs to take this decision criteria to the tribunal.
  22. Have we got space in the trophy cabinet for this years' cup?
  23. And we kicked 57 points in the last quarter. Spooky.
  24. Lots of nodding from me. Great effort. Took me straight back to 1985 and how gutted I was when Healy left.
