Yesterday we came up against two mature talls in the ruck playing essentially our game plan and worked Grundy over. Richmond don’t have the tall depth available to repeat this strategy, so I’m not expecting to see Gawny introduced to fill a need that wasn’t there in the Sydney and West Coast games.

We looked like a side playing in the wet on a 6 day break from last weeks game in Perth, coming to a second interstate venue. The fact is that Freo were 4 goals down late in the 3rd quarter against probably the unfittest team in the comp who couldn’t run the game out. I found it amusing they were carrying on when they got the win, they won’t win too many if they keep playing like that. And isn’t the Norwood oval just as pretty as a postcard picture?
