  1. That settles it. You can't have Flyin' Ryan and Rocketing Reid going up for the same mark every time. It would be chaos. Better trade that pick and be done with it.
  2. With Reid, Tracc, Viney, Sparrow, Oliver, Gawn & Grundy bullocking through the centre, we won't need a forward line. /sarcasm
  3. The more I see, the less likely I feel like we can get this done.
  4. If I'm stkilda I'm wanting Carlton to make the contract offer a 800k size one to Gresham to take it to tier 1, so my compo will be straight after my first round pick at what I think will be pick around pick 9 or 10. Might be the condition that they don't match, as he's RESTRICTED FA Then I'm offering those two picks and next year's 1st for Reid in the Reid-stakes. LOL. Bringing this thread back on topic people!!!!
  5. Restricted free agent, I think Demon Disciple was saying if they match the contract offer and then we have to pay up. Definitely not worth a first round pick that I was replying to.
  6. Love to see them upset the Pies in a prelim though, they will have spent all their tickets just to do that. Like in 2019. Would be a grand final opponent we could kick 20+ goals on.
  7. I haven't watched any GCS games this year, how has he been tracking? Mentions he has been playing defence. Is he someone we can lure back into Victoria after May retires, or after Max retires in 2-4 years? given he was our NGA academy player we lost. AFL Rising Star Round 20: Mac Andrew
  8. It also confirms he's playing on next for the the Suns
  9. Hoyne on SEN was warning clubs against paying too high a price, saying he'd been a 300th+ ranked player since r8, 120th in beginning. Called him 5th least impactful with ball in hand: "Ball use is really poor" Pick in the late 20s early 30s at best, given his drop off and the Saints dropping him. Maybe work Grundy into a 3club swap. Ben McKay was mentioned too on the segment as not worth the price tag
  10. The Petty doubter receipt keeping is ridiculous. Goodwin himself inexplicably put him back into defence after the forward experiment and after recovering from injury, when most were calling for him to be continued up forward and Tomlinson played back. Fair enough that people would hold some doubts, when the coach himself did not back him to play there a month ago, opting for Benny Brown and Joel Smith instead.
  11. Petty and Tomlinson together. Did we do this earlier in the year or is this a first time ever?
  12. I made the mistake of tuning into SEN this morning and hearing David King call Collingwood a dynasty and Nick Daicos is worth 2 million a year. I'm typing this here, because I shouldn't have to shoulder the burden of this alone Go Blues 🤮
  13. McKay would be getting offers of 800k a year I reckon, so that's band 1 compo. Frawley is a better player, but it's a similar case study - key position defender that's reached free agency in a bottom club, moving to a club hoping to contend in the next few seasons. They deserves exactly what we got for Frawley. Not sure if the AFL still offer a pick after or just after the first round nowadays, I haven't kept up with it As far as the non-finalists go, the bottom 3 are about the only clubs in great need for a top pick. And the Hawks will probably be the most [censored] off about moving down in the order, but who cares about them after their 3peat. Gold Coast will flip theirs for points, and every other club is still within reach of the top 8 at round 20
  14. Any opinions on how the rumoured Ben McKay compo might change things re moving up order for their pick, or North going for Reid ? North getting pick 2 and 3 might be the "priority pick" the AFL throws their way so they don't have to deal with the actual PP process. And I wouldn't begrudge it, given we got Brayshaw from the Frawley compo.
  15. What will our team look like in the matches heading into finals, if we already know we are playing Collingwood at the G by round 22-24. Do we approach the games differently and rest players or does the pre-finals bye already take care of that?
  16. The "3 firsts" thing has really deluded a few people. 2 of them are/will be closer to picks in the 20's. Such coveted treasure that we'll keep them AND take Reid lol
  17. Seems to be a general vibe in here that we're either paying overs or it's a foregone conclusion that west coast will gladly take pick 4 and what will probably be Pick 15-18x2. Not a chance in hell. We need to trade up and accrue another top 10 pick, or we need to do a deal with our 3 firsts with the Kangas pick 2 and hope that West Coast will swap 1 and 2 in good faith, rather than take Reid and then trust that this Curtin lad will request a trade in 2 years .
  18. YOUS R ALL JUST JUDGING HIM BASED ON HOW HE PLAYS ON STEVEN MAY. WHICH HE WILL NEVER HAVE TO DO AGAIN IN THE RED N BLUE! I've dug my hole and now I'm going to lay down in it and listen to the podcast.
  19. You may say im a Nuffie, but I'm not the only one
  20. In my defence, im benevolently wanting to reunite him with the club he grew up barracking for. Like half the board did with Gaffman 🍷
  21. Was listening to Corbin and Ben on the ABC and there was a discussion on whether this was his last year or not, with Brett Sprigg saying Sydney want to move on next year without him, given they want to give others opportunities in their forward line. And Buddy wanting to go on next year. With very little information out there about a supposed 'final game' in round 24. Could we look to snag him on a 1 or 2 year deal and play him alongside JVR next year instead of TMAC/BROWN/GRUNDY who look even less athletic and nimble than Buddy has shown on a few occasions this year where he's played some decent games. Flesh it out or throw it out?
