  1. Congratulations WCW grand parenting is easier and much more enjoyable than parenting, you can spoil them with a clear conscience and hand them back to mum and dad, knowing the you will always be their favourite.
  2. Good to see you up and about WCW, glad you made it home from that Hell hole OK.😁
  3. Fullarton needs to come in and make an impact, he JVR and Fritsch need to work closely together to split up the defenders and our small need to crumb not compete in the air with them, open up the forward line isolate the defenders kick some easy goals. Jefferson is more a Fritta type of player but 7cm taller, probably better suited to a half forward flank at least initially but still 12 months off. Petty and JVR are our power fwd’s, we desperately need them out on the park with Fullarton and Fritsch.
  4. Enjoyed Kev Martin’s Training Report yesterday, majority of our players trained hard, it’s much cooler this morning, the gardeners have turned up to mow the lawns, looking forward to Sundays game, thank goodness it is an early start, my wife will get home in time for MAF’s, Idol and whatever, humidity should be low although forecast 29oC. Looking forward to seeing if the MCG surface is still in one piece for our game……………..!! Not reading any media garbage. 🤣
  5. 48,880 todays numbers.😁
  6. The Colt is certainly made of the right stuff, wrestling JV after a heavy training session, love it.!!
  7. Thanks Kev greatly appreciated it would have been hot and windy down at Gosh’s today.
  8. Hi Kev did Woey get any extra attention from coaches, what did you glean from the training run??
  9. Remember Rif, it’s he who laughs last……..,,!!
  10. I think Cap space has had a bit to do with it but also a lack of power forwards coming through and those that did went top 10 and surprisingly all have stayed Loyal to their original clubs. We hopefully get some cap space this year and push hard for a tall that has sticky fingers. Zurhaar from North although only 189cm and 96kg would add some fire to our fwd line but I would be looking for a 198 - 202cm type player that would immediately impact our fwd line. Where for art thou power forward show yourself.!!!
  11. Demon3165 most on this site understand that we have a forward 50 connection problem. In the last two years we have run out of key forwards leading into our finals campaigns with devastating results, however what hurt us the most was goal kicking accuracy. This year we have bought in McAdam, Fullarton, Billings to provide a different skill mix and help improve connection and to provide Max with a chop out. But we have started the year without Petty, Brown, McAdam and Fullarton due to injury and Kozzie due to suspension. Only time will tell whether the addition of this group will help us improve connection But I would bring Fullarton or Verrall into the team immediately and send Josh back to Casey.
  12. He must have been reading Demonland for the “Last Two Years”, why doesn’t he tell us something we don’t already know…….!!!
  13. Agree Mono would love to see Taj play half back, I remember when Shane started out on the back flank he was very good.
  14. Good luck Jake take it easy let it heal before you start pushing yourself. Very painful from memory hard to get comfortable, etc.!!
  15. Ha ha he actually kicked 28 on debut, heat must be getting to me. Lol.!!
  16. Thanks DD that is a huge drop off from our average 2023 numbers although great effort from JV, Clayton with disrupted preseason, Blake Howes, Judd McVee and The Duke stood up OK. I’m thinking it may take a few games and a bit of tinkering to adjust for Yze / McQualter changes in midfield coaching and managing the feedback from box to Goody. Poor start to season.
  17. To be honest in the first half the difference was Swans took their chances and we didn’t but we’re still in the game, third quarter it was a neck and neck game and we were right in it. Last quarter Swans were all over us and their better players really lifted, they got a run on and it was game over. Overall very disappointing Swans outplayed us on their dung hill and in oppressive conditions. Selection committee made an error playing Chin, Bill and an underdone Spargo whilst playing Billings as the Sub??? Losing Bowie really hurt us (and him), Howes, Windsor and McVee are all goers and the rest of the team will be better for a hard hit out. Hope that Fullarton and Woewodin plus a couple more play well at Casey tomorrow as we need a bit more class in the side ASAP.
  18. 6 - Jack Viney 5 - Christian Salem 4 - Steven May 3 - Christian Petracca 2 - Bayley Fritsch 1 - Blake Howes (great debut) Absolute shocker to watch, our mosquito fleet had little or no impact.!! Caleb Windsor also looked pretty good and what was Billings doing as sub?
  19. I have enjoyed all the posts thus far, feeling pretty relaxed at the moment and looking forward to seeing a Dee Victory up in Sydney Town. Comeon the mighty Dees.!!!
  20. I hope Max hasn’t put a mozz on him one of the Captains nominated him to win the Rising Star Award and Max is probably the only Captain that knows he exists. Lol.!!
  21. Sure I saw him in a training photo recently??
  22. Thanks Red and Blue Forever great job.
  23. Yes been announced Tom Sparrow is with us until at least 2026, thank you MFC and Tom Sparrow, most welcome news, bugger off Crows.!!!
  24. Unfortunately the club can’t list their weight anymore so we may never know who is building body mass and who is trimming down. The AFL are going just a tad too far in some directions but not protecting the most important aspect the head. Quite weird if you ask me.!!
