  1. So true KC the so called VFL has turned into a total sham of a competition we have played some teams twice and other teams nunce ( ha ha), the people who designed this fixture were either drunk, incompetent or incompetently drunk. I know a head mistress of our local primary school would run rings around these buffoons.
  2. I think Gazza does the same when commenting on Dee games, feels obliged to point out free kicks etc for our opponents but not vice versa, they are both annoying.
  3. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to the game last night as I felt that we had a chance for some salvation. Still we watched the game on Ch7 and what a pile on that was even Jonesy piled on us at every mistake and opportunity. I thought that Max was BOG, Kozzie had an excellent game, very dangerous and the umps refused to pay him a free even when bought down by a high tackle. Overall I felt like it was a good team effort with an even spread of players but just lacking the experience, class and polish to make the most of our opportunities. As mentioned previously Jack Billings and The Kolt could have made heroes of themselves but lacked the composure to put Port away. Another lost opportunity but when we bring the heat we are very hard to beat, next two weeks will be very interesting.
  4. And yet we lead most of the night and went down by 2 miserable points.
  5. 6 - Captain Max another dominant game 5 - Kozzie Pickett some brilliance tonight, best fwd out there 4 - Alex Neal - Bullen hard running great connection 3 - Jack Viney some great play tonight worked his guts out 2 - Harrison Petty a fierce competitor tonight, getting better each week 1 - Ed Langdon another great link up game 16.7km We had a lot of players that had a real crack tonight - Salem, McVee, TMac, Billings, Sparrow and Tomlinson were all good.
  6. Are we trading for him as well???
  7. Thanks SB surprised that Mayzie was out there he is so tough, we are pretty banged up.
  8. Not at all PF we all miss your Casey adventures and dicing with death to get your detailed and informative reports out to us DLanders.😁😁👍
  9. Did you get there Storm Boy, if so any observations that you would like to share??
  10. Thanks WCW and all posters another interesting and entertaining read.!!
  11. So true drdrake now is the time to clear list spots and bring in mids, mids and more mids plus a Ruck.
  12. With regards to Luker Kentfield the new Rookie rules will allow us to develop the young man over a 3-4 year period if he shows the right aptitude, skill set and desire to make the grade at AFL level. So no pressure and he doesn’t turn 19 until next month. I look forward to his long term development if he gets the nod.
  13. I read on the Captains Run training session that Jeffo informed WCW that he is now 197cm a smidge under 6’6” Vs the 195cm he was when drafted. I, like PF am also very keen to see Jeffo line up in the next couple of weeks. JvR is showing his class, Disco has shown the right signs and if all three make the grade our future prospects will go up appreciably, so you can count me in on the “Jefferson Express”.
  14. Unfortunately we have not had the flexibility with our list due to older players being contracted, last year we had to drop Deakin Smith off our Rookie list to open a spot for Kynan Brown and I can’t remember a key forward that was available.
  15. This relates to the new modified Rookie rule to be introduced in 2024 where Rookies can be extended to a fourth year if a player hasn’t played 10 or more AFL games and extend to a fifth year if said player was a project or slow development player.
  16. Maybe ensuring that AMW doesn’t cross the 10 game barrier this year so we can maintain him as a Rookie(new rules) have to consider all angles.
  17. Voted WCW.😁
  18. My mother always told us children don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see, unless it’s from the horses mouth and you have both sides. I have tried to ingrain this philosophy with my children and work associates over the years and still have to pull them up from time to time. Lol.!! I have learnt that people are usually trying to push their own barrow when retelling stories about other people.
  19. demon17 did you hear what Goody said, he said Petty would be playing forward Because we have a very junior bunch of key forwards in the system and they need some one to provide experience and support around them. To me that makes a lot of sense with JVR, Disco and Jeffo in the near future. We have an experienced backline that don’t need any extra protection just at the minute.
  20. Imagine what a nightmare job it would be ELDiablo14 trying to manage 44-46 players salary’s the players you would miss out on because you can’t fit them in the cap and the ones you need to move on to free up spots, etc. How stressful would it be.!
  21. I think Jibroni mentioned that Waterman was gone.
  22. ELDiablo I think you would need to get the players and player managers to agree and it would have to be league wide and a guess is just a guest.
  23. Thanks Deespicable I have enjoyed the series to date, great research into our drafting and trades, however, still early days with our current draftees . I think your musings about what could have been or who we should have taken dilute’s the enjoyment of the review.
  24. Thanks Dazzle, We also had surgeries to Oliver both shoulders, Viney, Petracca, TMac, Harmes, Milkshake, Jetta, vandenberg, Hannan plus May was injured and Lever was still recovery from his ACL, so we were pretty banged up from woe to go.
