Totally agree Mazer R that is laughable anything referred to as infrastructure particularly if Govt is involved doubles, quadruple’s over a five year period when inflation is running at 5%, the funds are being syphoned off somehow. I’m bullish, statistically what are the chances of being struck down by injuries in 2019, 2022 & 2023 and again in 2024? We will need to be creative in the early rounds but after round zero we will have JVR, Fritta and The Koz plus ANB, Spargo, Chandler, Billing’s and maybe McAdam plus Tracc spending time forward and hopefully Schache playing fwd/ruck. Every club will have injuries but can they cover them?

We have now been up 4 years out of the last 6, the opposition preferred us as the easy beats they don’t expect or want us to keep hanging out with the big boys but I think they are going to have to get used to the reincarnated Demons. We have a really good team great coaching group, a number of new players and a whole bunch of newbies coming through the ranks. Our window is very much open and we will refresh again at the end of 2024.!! Let’s hope we disappoint the hell out of all our doubters Including our own pessimists.

Hmmmn just watched Ch9 news and TJ said that whistling from the bench is now banned when trying to attract a player, the new AFL lady said that you can yell and shout but your not allowed to whistle. Lol.!!! TJ commented “what will they come up with next”.

can I just say that although I support our team and our coaches 100% my softer side was saying get JJp onto the ground in ‘21 and I also felt sad for Schache last year, silly but I always put myself in their place.

That is a great summary of 2023 Demonland we certainly managed to shoot both feet of with our atrocious kicking for goal in the finals but it was a very good result to make top 4 again for the third time in a row. Now we need to capitalise on all that hard work. It will be harder in ‘24 as other teams rise some must fall but I do not believe it will be us, with a smidge of luck, improved forward connection and goal kicking accuracy we will be hard to beat. Let’s hope that Fritta, Petty and Clayton can get back to their scintillating best. Go Dees.!!!

We are still seeing it at GWS / Gold Coast stadiums whereas Tassie is a AFL footy state and should be able to get 15 - 20k on a regular basis, a lot of opposition supporters would also travel to Hobart so great for tourism, we love Hobart.!!

Yes wwsw I must admit that I had forgotten that 3 mth break between R1 and R2 in 2020 and those three boys debuted in R1 & R2, how strange was that year? And just shows that we can’t place limitations on our new recruits.

Kozzie debuted R1 2020 but Riv & Jacko debuted against Blues in June 2020.😁

I take your point DC but Windsor will be introduced into the team in a similar way to Riv, Jacko, Kozzi and bowser. The coaches have managed the debutante’s extremely well so far.😁

Sounds like Windsor is rewarding our recruitment team for their confidence in taking him at No. 7. A lot of knowledgeable posters on this site have been calling out for some outside pace and silky skills to improve our I50 delivery, The Duke, Bowser, Spargs, Billing’s, Kozzie and maybe McAdam can improve this weakness in our game plan.
