  1. I must admit that I love Christian Petracca our outright best player in 2023, letโ€™s hope that he has another huge year in 2024 and he gets back to finishing off the majority Of his opportunities.!!
  2. Thanks Werridee that is a lot of research on the other 17 clubs, just looking through the lists there are a lot of ageing stars and you can only wonder which teams are going to be struck down by the injury gods in 2024. Also I would have Shane McAdam in our best 23.๐Ÿ˜
  3. Ha ha Cheap Seats I think Nibbler eased himself out of the chair whilst we were distracted by a number of other non performing players.!!
  4. Agree with Gator, Webber and you pose some interesting possibilities binman, I am definitely the glass half full when it comes to our squad. I see McAdam replaces Jake Melksham, Billingโ€™s covers James Harmes role whilst the Kolt and the Duke develop and Woewodin comes in and replaces JJโ€™s role in the team. He looks ready to go and should get plenty of opportunities particularly whilst Clayton is out. I am also hopeful that Laurie, Howes and Disco get plenty of game time early in the season.
  5. Agree Rod was a shame for Nev Jetta, Nathan Jones and of course Jayden Hunt they were all great servants of the club.
  6. Thanks WCW, Waynew, startibart, Kev, Sydee and all other posters great reports from Goshโ€™s today. I love the reports and special comments they have made my day and such a crappy start to the day as well.
  7. Did you see the latest interview of Jacob van Rooyen on the MFC website. How impressive and refreshing is this young man, when asked about the new kids coming through he responds with - love seeing the new recruits as we will be playing together for the next 10 years. Those sentiments warm the cockles of the heart.
  8. Thanks 6six6 that is great footage nice to see some footage of young players such as Gawn, McDonals, Watts, Jones, Jetta and Davies running around we expected so much and received so little, we certainly were hampered by serious injuries and inept player management.!
  9. According to Ch7 the aFL have made the move so that players wonโ€™t be โ€œFat Shamedโ€, what an absolute load of garbage. Oohh I am so Woke I canโ€™t stand up straight. Lol.!!!!
  10. There were a lot of good players on the list but we didnโ€™t see the best of them for another 3-4 years.
  11. Trent Rivers another great pickup for the club, just keeps on getting better in every aspect of his game. Tough, courageous, skilled and a loveable member of our team, my wife picked him on draft night to be a real winner for us and she was right. Seeing him hold the Cup and saying we want another one next year was so refreshing.
  12. I am with you Demonstrative, man mountain a true leader on and off the field just hope the rest of the team help him achieve the ultimate success at the โ€œGโ€.
  13. We could end up being the firstโ€Nancyโ€ league in the World Of Sport. aFL who would have thought. Name, height, weight, age, games played.!!
  14. Despite the Pressโ€™s constant niggling and rehashing our two problem childrenโ€™s storylineโ€™s I am feeling extremely confident that we are in a similar phase as we were at the end of 2020. Our list is disappointed and hungry, we have recruited to fill needs and we have a number of youngsters that will be pushing for spots in the team. We are ready and primed, we may not win the first nine games but we will be in contention when it counts.!!!
  15. Agree with all above and I am looking forward to a stellar 45+ goal year from our freakish Kozzie, there was to much left up to him last year. Kozzie will love having McAdams, Billingโ€™s and a plethora of fit forwards to zing around and make life extremely difficult for our opponents.
  16. If that is him wearing 35 he is actually flying.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  17. I have huge respect for Alex Neal-Bullen but it hasnโ€™t always been the case up until halfway through 2020 I thought that he just wasnโ€™t up to it. Then either he changed or I twigged to just how important a foot soldier he was to our young team. ANB has continued to grow as a premiership footballer and is now in our top 10-15 players, I really hope that he can play 200 games for us and share in addition premiershipโ€™s, he is another of our quiet achievers.
  18. Thanks Six that is brilliant footage and I also enjoyed the upbeat background music. I am going to have to brush up on the player numbers as we have a lot of changes. Petty is way ahead of my expectations.
  19. Agree with all above Judd McVee is the type of player that you want to have at your club. Quick thinking skilled individual that has both feet planted firmly on the ground and you just know he will continue to improve your side the longer he plays. Love the kid love the name.
  20. I warmed to Tom Sparrow from day one and believe that 2024 will be his breakout year as 2023 was Trent Rivers. He has built a lot of trust within the team and is ready to take on greater responsibilities and I am looking forward to his continued rise within the team.
  21. HP is a great quandary to have, he has shown that he is an excellent backman and now also has the makings of a VG forward. We are all hoping that Harrison can get out on the park more Consistently in โ€˜24 and help hold the forward line together for us. Good luck HP.
  22. I was pleasantly surprised with Lachie Hunter this year, thought he held his wing up well, he gets his share of the ball and usually uses it well, also has impressive stamina and slightly edged Ed Landon in the wingers club this year. Hope he can give us a full year again in โ€˜24 although he will have a couple of youngsters snapping at his heels next year.
  23. As mentioned, Kade had a great first half in โ€˜23, hopefully another preseason and having a couple more fit players in the forward 50 he can stay in the game for longer in 2024, really like what Chandler brings to the team.
  24. Jeez Bitter you can keep him for yourself.๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€
  25. Yes agree with all above we need Charlie back to his best in 2024, tackling, putting on pressure and hitting up targets in the forward 50 and consistently nailing those snags from within 40.
