  1. I loved Carl Ditterich and the bunch of North Melbourne players that RDB bought over with him but Steven shades them all.!!
  2. When you look back over the years we have had a lot of success with players coming in from other clubs at critical times and our current bunch are no exception.!!
  3. Very happy for Jake and Michael they provide quality depth and great leadership and support for our younger brigade.!!
  4. Steven May was huge for us again this year, he held the defence together despite a number of injuries to other key backs and apart from a major off field blunder was unbeatable on field. He is a real leader and competitor on field and I hope he can stay that way for another 2-3 years. I love the way he plays the game and he will enjoy having Grundy and a fully fit Salem out there next year so we won’t be so predictable.
  5. Great work LH they both deserve another year.!!
  6. It was great to see Jack start the year with a full tank, lots of skill, toughness and controlled aggression at the ball and man. Jack played some brilliant footy this year, he would have been disappointed with our last two games but so would the whole team. Let’s hope that he can string 26 games together at that level next year.
  7. Ha ha no dc I was born in 45 one month after the Japanese surrendered. I remember the halfpennies but I can’t remember the farthings, boy times have changed, a 5 pound note was a thing of joy a 10 pound note was a rarity.
  8. Agree 58er Gus was a bit of a revelation off the HBF, personally I would like him to play most of his footy in that position but he was also great on the wing and in the middle. He showed leadership and loyalty and he filled the gaps and did it with aplomb, looking forward to seeing where they play him in 2023.!!
  9. 1942 dc that is the year my brother was born.!
  10. Funny thing dc I was born the year after.!!
  11. A pretty good one I would imagine.❤️💙👍👌🤘🙏
  12. Wow the girls have held them to 1 goal since quarter time.!!!
  13. Big Max our mighty champion succumbed to injury and foul play through the second half of the year, I felt very sorry for him over the final 5-6 games. So happy that Brodie has come on board to provide that mature AA support for Max. Still need an extra big forward/ruck to provide depth for our two AA’s though. Can’t wait to see how these two work out for us.!!
  14. He looked super fit didn’t he.!!!
  15. Thanks LH terrific effort, can’t wait to see Kozzie sign on.👌✅
  16. Wow what’s with the negativity JVR isn’t a late pick or some kid that scraped into the draft. He is a first rounder that played at the highest level throughout his junior years he has had a full year to acclimatise and develop in his new environment surrounded by fresh premiership players, he has played in a VFL premiership in his development year. Hell I am Expecting JVR to come in and play his role in 2023 and beyond, he is 6’4- 6’5” and will be around 96kg when he starts his career and has the grit to make it. 58er wasn’t drooling he was stating some facts about JVR and including his expectations rolling forward as I am stating mine.!!!
  17. It has been neglected for a long time now.!!
  18. To me Hawthorn is the strangest story they gave up Glenferie Oval as home base to move to Waverley which they touted as being the best of all worlds and yet they are now moving to Dingley the new Mecca. I wonder what the Hawks fans think?? I am glad that we are holding out for our home base to be close to our place of origin, we are Melbourne so need to stay close to our roots and CBD. If it takes longer to achieve it so be it, it will be well worth it.!!
  19. Thanks JVR and MFC, he has the attributes for a KPF let’s hope that he slots into our forward line and stays there, I have a good feeling about Jacob.!!!
  20. Another great year from Bayley Fritsch and as mentioned by Durango he missed TMacs and Bbb’s presence in our forward line. He received a lot of extra attention this year but still shone through showing his class. Where would we have been without Fritta and Kozzie this year.!!
  21. Ha ha never heard of Taylor Whitford either 58er.😁
  22. What a gifted, exciting player is Kozzie my wife and I were fortunate to have been in Alice to watch the Dees when Kozzie played possibly his best game for the Dees kicking six scintillating goals and got us home from a determined Port. He was on fire and so was the crowd. Comeon Kozzie as Dazzle said please re-sign and make MFC your home long term.❤️💙🤘
  23. Agree Durango his 2021 was his best for the club but he obviously played his role as directed by the coaching team to poll so well. My biggest bugbear was when he looked to pass it off when in range instead of nailing his shot and worse when he missed from 20-30 metres out, they are real momentum killers. However I still love ANB’s stamina, selfless footy, his hardness at the ball and his 2nd and 3rd efforts. Let’s hope that in 2023 he nails those shots and helps us stay at the top of the heap.!!
