Looking forward to a great game at the “G” today, we are starting to show something a bit special and another win today will reinforce that feeling in the boys minds, belief. Looking forward to seeing Christian Petracca run out surrounded by his best mates and playing a ripper game, Dees by 23 points.

My thinking is that the boys playing at Casey aren’t going to replace our best 15-18 players, it’s the bottom six players that are most at risk of replacement. The aim is to continue to upgrade the side if no one plays better than our bottom six they won’t get a run. You also have to take into account team rules, kpi’s, etc and we are not privy to those measures.

Not quite the avalanche that I was expecting and 17.19 is probably representative of the windy conditions. Still Jeffo got his bag, Cream snagged three and Rooey 2.3 and 13 marks, certainly a step in the right direction. Liked the sound of Ollie Seston, can’t have to many good kicks in the side. Total domination just not as many majors as you would expect.

I’m thinking it’s going to be an avalanche of goals and a mighty win for Casey, comeon boys you are overdue, zfullarton, Rooey and Matty Jefferson are all due for a bag. We need a percentage booster.👍😁

Judging from he Brizzie game the new game plan May suit Fritta better, faster more accurate kicking game, he was really good and strong when he came on on Sunday.😁👍

Thanks DD that is a huge team improvement, we are fighting our way back towards our 21-23 team performances lead by our superstars but strongly backed up by our younger brigade and newbies, that is so satisfying.👍😁

Regarding the new game plan, I’ve been giving this a bit of thought and maybe the reason Goody shelved it last year wasn’t because the players didn’t or couldn’t get it, I’m thinking that maybe his coaching team didn’t get it or couldn’t implement it. Particularly without Tracc and an half fit Clayton, I also felt that Mini didn’t get the best out of the midfield group either, our opponents constantly won the centre clearances despite Max’s domination, this didn’t happen with Yze. I think Goody trusted Chaplin but needed a bit more footy savvy so went after Nathan Bassett, Sam Radford and Nat Jones to help sell and implement the necessary changes. Did you see the joy on the faces of all the coaches and the players as they hugged each other after the game, it actually works.👍😁

Thanks dees189227 how good were Kozzie and Bobby (Ian) Hill, they are both a bit shy but such great players.

Winning helps but the quality and regularity of the press conferences has gone to a much more enjoyable and quality level, this hopefully stems from the member surveys and reviews last year. If you block out the outside noise the club appears happier and more balanced this year. But a lot more wins won’t hurt.😁👍

Congratulations Christian Petracca 200th Game V Swans, what a man what a player, thinking back to ‘21 those mad focussed eyes after rolling that ball through the very middle of the sticks, then running purposely back to the centre, don’t get in my way, here we come. After watching Tracc’s Press Conference he is displaying strong leadership for his club, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that CP5 is a Dee for life.

Nice to be on the positive side of the ledger but Hollywood dorks and Power are polar opposites. I got the feeling last week that the dorks got the very best of it against us. Grrrr…!!!

It’s funny layzie but my youngest daughter texted me at the start of the game that the Lions jumpers looked like “bum cracks” we all had a good laugh via text.

That win was quite exhilarating will we won’t we, can we can’t we, they seemed to be able to score at will whereas we had to work much harder for any gains. Then I noticed a subtle change come over the game and we started punishing their turn overs as we spread and hit targets up at will. I thought that’s more like it but where has it come from, all of a sudden we were the hunters and they were making unforced errors we were still missing our shots but getting more of them. Jake Melksham put in a pearler and Max and the rest of the team lifted and continued to lift right up til the siren sounded. I recognised when the change occurred but didn’t understand the root causes. Thanks Binman and the other posters that have a greater understanding of strategy and game plan for pointing out what changes the coaches and players initiated and how well it worked, it changed the momentum of the game and we are the benefactors.

Thanks DD although they’re best rated higher than ours we batted deep, even Sharp & Fritta combined for a 2.9. Some really good signs and I loved the way that we hunted them and used their turn overs to spread and run in the second half. Great game to watch and how good was Goody and Chocko on the bench, directing, guiding and pushing the boys all game through.
