2025 MRO & Tribunal
Looks like Viney and May Ok as well, lot of fines though for Melee commentators will be disappointed. No longer worried about head high contact??

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Agree DiscoStu17 Iโd also like to see a bit more lateral thinking, we were getting beaten down back and even though Rooey was doing Ok at CHF why not try him down back and Verrall as well and send Adamโs fwd to see what he has. Woey needs a role just as Tholstrup needs a specific role in the 1โs, they are both team first players, it will help their confidence and improve us as a team.

Farewell Judd McVee
That will be an excellent result Ghostwriter, he is in our must keep group going forward.๐๐

VOTES: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
6 - Jake Melksham dominant game from Milkshake 5 - Kozzie Pickett I thought he and Jake might get us over the line 4 - Jake Bowey need to get the ball into his hands more 3 - Christian Petracca in the engine room where itโs close and personal 2 - Trent Rivers got better as the game went on 1 - Jack Viney helped get us back in the game. Then Max, Salo and Claz.

My 3 word player analysis V GC
Everyone to their own opinion But we had a miserably poor 1st quarter and looked like we would go down by 60+ points, we hit the post twice and Milkshake missed at least two that he would normally swallow and we went down by 19 points to a top 8 side that was aided and abetted by the umpiring fraternity. Plus we were two down.????

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
I was reading the Training thread and Kevin Martin mentioned that Windsor hurt his foot during one of the training drills, so that may explain why he isnโt playing. The Casey team will tell the story.

TRAINING: Thursday 26th June 2025
Thanks Kev Martin a great training report, detailed and informative, might explain why Windsorโs not playing.

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall during the selection meetings, would be a real eye opener, hopefully not a popularity fest??

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
GC are a fairly fast paced side so guess we are injecting some pace and giving Jeffo a run. Interestingly we are rated in the top 4 for ball movement from defense into f50 according to AFL. Feel like we are are going in a bit short though, needed another tall on the bench. Will be very interesting, putting a bit on Blake Howes.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
True to some degree beelzebub but my take is that the Media Assault on the MFC and then the in-fighting regarding our board and Mr Lawrence in 2024 convinced a lot of people including some on here that the MFC should be burnt down. That would have influenced the uninformed and even some rusted on members to jump ship in their droves.

TRAINING: Thursday 26th June 2025
Another big thanks to Ghostwriter, Startibartfast and all posters and special comments, loved the training and personal reports and in such cold and miserable conditions. Sounds like the boys are fit healthy and energised and Iโm looking forward to both games on Saturday. GW you need to be commended, I hope you had a cup of your special coffee from your special vendor. ๐๐โค๏ธ๐

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Not sure GS_ Zero Hangar - โFootball smarts, pace and efficient ball useโ, likened to Hugh McCluggage, high praise indeed. My feeling is that The Duke had an injury interrupted pre season and was then sent to half back a position that he is not familiar with and he hasnโt mastered and personally I hope they donโt keep persisting.

Hope itโs not blowing a gale at yourโs GW like it is here in Doreen. lol.๐๐

Harry McKay leaving Blues?
McKay would be a great get but for the life of me I cannot see how we could get it done. Bergman sounds like a no brainer but our success in securing trades has fallen away over recent times, not feeling confident with our ability to trade to our advantage. Like a number of others in this site I would Prefer to see JT given a lot more opportunity to draft using more 2nd and 3rd picks.

PODCAST: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Thanks Andy, George and Binman for another great podcast and also all contributors, a great read and listen. I was still feeling a bit flat about our loss to Port and the fact that we kicked it to Rata 13 times, a player that I have never rated. I enjoyed Binman comments on Kozzy, I felt the same way like a big happy kid when he signed and his electric 1st half was scintillating stuff. So much effort and dominance in the 3rd capped off with such poor kicking.

Archie Walsh - 2025 F/S Potential
I believe that Peter Walsh was one of those players that we all loved but also took his work rate and courage for granted as we were to focussed on the stars that were playing with him at the time.

TRAINING: Sunday 22nd June 2025
Big shout out to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger and Kev Martin greatly appreciated also all posters and special comments. Agree with GW hope that Will Verrall does get a run, he frees Rooey up to do what we recruited him for, also hoping to see Riv and Spaz get a lot more out of themselves over the next 9 games. Great to hear the boys are back out in the track.

Stats File - 2025 edition
My view is that Ed Langdon is a specialist winger, play maker, taking him off the wing to play a high h/f role is creating a net loss for the team. I would prefer Windsor rotate with Langford wing/hf, not many can emulate Ed Langdon and the Duke is stagnating. Fix it Goody, Chunk, Bassett ASAP.

Stats File - 2025 edition
Thanks DD we looked cooked and these stats bare that out, Tracc, Claz,JV, Rick, Salo, Ed Langdon, Riv, the Duke, Melky and Petty all below par at the same time. Itโs obviously contagious, performance management has taken a real dip. I would have liked to be a fly on the wall at the after game meeting after that game. Very unusual for Ed Langdon and Riv has fallen off a cliff.
