  1. But would have missed out on Windsor.
  2. I was leaning toward Nascent and buck_nekkid’s thoughts on splitting our first rounder for two later 1st rounders for Houston and a gun mid from the draft. We need to clear some picks and cap space to make up for our limited draft spaces over the last couple of years. Be a bit daring this year to help refresh the group whilst we have the high end talent to support and educate the youngsters.
  3. Kozzycan you make a lot of unsupported statements that you obviously glean from the press and the disenfranchised on this site. However, you fail to provide any details to support your opinion and in the same instance fail to take on board any of the more wiser and informed posters that have explained in quite significant detail the causes and effects that have lead to our demise in 2024. And Yes I disagree that we should bring in a bunch of outsiders to try and fathom out our shortcomings when we already have a good handle on what the answers are. I say support the club and wait and see what flows from this review and I am prepared to back Pert and Goodwin who have clearly flagged that they are up for the fight.
  4. Ha ha we may never find out but the AFL pack have not attempted to sniff it out.!!
  5. Max has signed on as tackling coach with Melbourne AFLW.
  6. You have to remember Binman that Dangerfield said it was an error of judgement ( don’t be mean to our player).!!
  7. Same here our biggest loss in about 6-7 years and when they repeated the dose at Optus I knew we were on a wing and a prayer.
  8. Thanks WCW and please pass on our thanks to your friend at Casey Fields.✅👍
  9. No 21 or 41 mentioned by WCW’s friend, however they are all travelling up to Gold Coast together.😁
  10. I enjoyed Simon’s presser today he is after all a football person, a realist he knows and understands the “smell” in the air as all intelligent leaders do. He addressed a number of critical matters in an honest, forthright and open manner, even a bit aggressively. He has signalled that he is up for the fight and welcomes change that will benefit and improve our football club. We will need to be braver and open to the changes that may flow through the club over the next six months and stop overreacting to any negative or misleading press releases during the process. As WayneWussell pointed out when the sky was falling in, we need to get a grip and back our club.
  11. Thanks Deelectable I heard the one you heard he was on the front foot and slightly aggressive in his responses to media, etc loved the way he handled the ANB request for transfer and Clayton and Tracc questions. His performance was exceptional.👏👏👏
  12. Poor Clayton (Clarry) Oliver, now that the run to the finals have ended I am so happy that Clarry is being rested for his surgery with plenty of time to prepare for our tilt at the finals in ‘25. I could see that Clayton was really struggling on Saturday night but was unaware of his PCL and ribs. He is one tough young man, I hope that you have a full recovery Clayton and look forward to hearing positive stories about your health and preparation for ‘25 and beyond.💕❤️💙
  13. Thanks DD, we had a better spread of players this week and for some reason we are almost getting the job done with fewer touches. 😁
  14. Don’t fret WCW some get it and some refuse to accept it, Nibbler will be hard to replace so will his mother in the Cheer Squad, she was a real personality in our run to the finals and our Granny in ‘21.
  15. I think that we intercept marked a few in the goal square as well?
  16. A lot of my thoughts have already been listed by previous posters but here goes and I am also liking this thread. Despite missing a number of our better players through out the year with injury and niggles we now have that ingrained ability to scrap and close down top 8 sides. I am a bit excited about what we can deliver next year with a big pre season for our budding stars and a couple more quality draft picks and a fully fit senior list. Captain Max - Bravo, Jack Viney pushing through his injuries, Lingers back to his best, Mayzie playing injured, Petty finally getting on top of his foot injury, ANB lifted to try and fill the void, Chin applying huge pressure and Tommy Sparrow on the improve. Then our first echelon of younger players led by Kozzie Pickett, Trent Rivers, Jacob van Rooyen and Judd McVee. We blooded Caleb Windsor (star), Koltyn Tholstrup, Blake Howes, Pup Brown and got extra games into Daniel Turner, Bailey Laurie, Woey, etc. there is a lot to like about these kids. Gutted by the loss of Angus Brayshaw ( heart and sole player), Smith finally delivering, Clayton’s horrid end of year and tortured pre season and to top it off losing our most bona-fide footballer in Christian Petracca mid season. This series of losses and flow on side effects has really cruelled our year. I am also buoyed by the letter put out by Gary Pert our CEO regarding Tracc and the Club going forward.
  17. I think that was our handicap. Lol.!!
  18. So true KC the so called VFL has turned into a total sham of a competition we have played some teams twice and other teams nunce ( ha ha), the people who designed this fixture were either drunk, incompetent or incompetently drunk. I know a head mistress of our local primary school would run rings around these buffoons.
  19. I think Gazza does the same when commenting on Dee games, feels obliged to point out free kicks etc for our opponents but not vice versa, they are both annoying.
  20. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to the game last night as I felt that we had a chance for some salvation. Still we watched the game on Ch7 and what a pile on that was even Jonesy piled on us at every mistake and opportunity. I thought that Max was BOG, Kozzie had an excellent game, very dangerous and the umps refused to pay him a free even when bought down by a high tackle. Overall I felt like it was a good team effort with an even spread of players but just lacking the experience, class and polish to make the most of our opportunities. As mentioned previously Jack Billings and The Kolt could have made heroes of themselves but lacked the composure to put Port away. Another lost opportunity but when we bring the heat we are very hard to beat, next two weeks will be very interesting.
  21. And yet we lead most of the night and went down by 2 miserable points.
  22. 6 - Captain Max another dominant game 5 - Kozzie Pickett some brilliance tonight, best fwd out there 4 - Alex Neal - Bullen hard running great connection 3 - Jack Viney some great play tonight worked his guts out 2 - Harrison Petty a fierce competitor tonight, getting better each week 1 - Ed Langdon another great link up game 16.7km We had a lot of players that had a real crack tonight - Salem, McVee, TMac, Billings, Sparrow and Tomlinson were all good.
  23. Are we trading for him as well???
  24. Thanks SB surprised that Mayzie was out there he is so tough, we are pretty banged up.
