  1. Sure are Dazzle with AJ and Laurie out that we know of and Culley, Howes, Jefferson, Tholstrup and JvR AFL listed, must want these boys to be part of our biggest game of the year in some aspect.
  2. That was also one of my beef’s last year SONS but I now feel that we have gone from a media famine to a media feast, I am having trouble keeping up with our MFC website with all the information coming through. Not sure who is in charge but they deserve a big pat on the back.😁👍
  3. Ha ha Harley Read would turn most young players inside out he is an exceptionally talented player. I look at it slightly differently, would Blake Howes improve our bottom 6-8 players, I suggest that he would and therefore should be in the 23.😁👍
  4. Just my thoughts but after reading through this thread there are some very logical reasons to believe that Kozzie is already home. Kozzie’s spiritual home maybe in rural WA but like so many Australians we were drawn to the “big smoke” from our country birthplaces by necessity and reward and now call Melbourne home.
  5. Thanks WW what a great pickup with the two Robert’s together, very poignant now. 1985, we were living in Wantirna South with a 4 and 1 Yo.
  6. Thanks George OTO, 54,702 we have now surpassed our 2021 Membership total but well down on our dizzy heights of 2022-2024 numbers.😢🥲
  7. Thanks DD we were statistically as poor as we looked, we made the Saints look like a champion team and yet we could have still won the game had we kicked straight, how crazy is that.

Me to Eladiablo14 and not just Gawny, I always watched Lloyde, Neita, Lockett, Jacko, Lyon they were totally focused they followed a process and nailed all their easy shots and a large percentage of the more difficult shots, this spinning the ball to me is a distraction from what you are trying to achieve. Does my head in.
  9. Thanks once again Ghostwriter, Kev Martin and all posters and special comments, I imagine that they would have been a bit flat today, not helped by the terrible news of Jack Viney breaking his hand whilst training in Alice Springs over the weekend. I heard Milkshake on radio he said that all they will do this week is goal kicking practise and then on face book Neita said he’s going to get Swarta and the real Whizz together to teach our boys how to kick, if only.😁👍
  10. Yes there were plenty in Dee jumpers when we were up there, but the camera kept playing to the Saints group near the big gum tree, every time that they did something, which was often, I didn’t see them pan to us much at all.😁👍
  11. Thanks Andy, George, Binman and Jeff White, that was some Podcast, greatly appreciated how good to have one of our greats on. How sharp is Jeff and what a memory he has, that was so informative and entertaining. Also enjoyed the second half with your insights into Sunday’s very poor result after seeing us running on top of the ground the previous two weeks and then dishing up such a tired looking effort on Sunday felt quite crushing, so appreciated your thoughts on the causes but I think we are all flummoxed on our pathetic kicking.
  12. First time Saints have beaten us since 2019 and we had to kick 21 points for them to beat us. Kicking is deplorable.!!!
  13. 6 - Max just 5 - Steven May 4 - Chandler 3 - Disco 2 - Tracca 1 - Judd McVee Jeez 4.7 & 0.8 in our best two quarters, was it just me or did our boys appear fatigued and slowish today in perfect conditions????
  14. Thanks Wheelo from those stats we should win but our lousy kicking says NO.
  15. We lead them in every Kpi except tackles, 60+ more possessions, let’s hope it all comes together in the last how good is Jeffo playing.
  16. Another big thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, Kev Martin and all posters and special comments, a lot going on behind the scenes today with Vines not getting through the protocols. Good luck JV and good to see Bailey Laurie in the 23, good luck Bill and the whole team up at Traeger Park. My wife and I were up there in ‘22 when we won our last game and Kozzie put on a one man demolition kicking six goals against Power. We flew home on the plane with the Port team and supporters and changed planes in Adelaide, great trip, great win and great experience in the NT.👍😁
  17. Unsurprisingly Jordon Lewis was the only one that thought that we could still make the eight, good man Jordie.👍😁
  18. Thanks Katrina is Laela related to The Ebert family? She sounds like a great pickup.💕❤️💙
  19. Goody was still copping it up until round 6, he had kept repeating the same mantra we are process driven, one week at a time, we are transitioning from our old game plan, it takes time and practice . When it finally clicked against Freo I mentioned on here that I saw the change but didn’t understand what caused the massive change. Fortunately there are some DLanders who grasped the changes early, Binman, Adam, Roost it, DD, Pennant and a number of other posters that could articulate the changes that saw our numbers change so dramatically. Now the whole football world are trying to dissect and understand what happened post 1-5, but rjay summed it up well, practice practice and more practice then it becomes second nature and appears effortless.
  20. Thanks DD love these player ranking stats, how gratifying to see Max, Clayton, Tracc and Ed all upping the ante and seeing Bowsa and Kozzie rocketing up the charts, Salo, Riv, McVee back to their best as well as Lindsay, Langford and Windsor consolidating themselves in our top 18.
  21. Another huge thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, Kev Martin, all posters and special comments greatly appreciated. Terrible news for Charles though, he is such a valuable pressures player.
  22. He went at 71% yesterday 3 turnovers, twelve score assists and over 400m gained, he was our highest rated player, I had him in my top four.
  23. Thanks DD the stats bare out what our eyes were telling us we won all over the ground, our stars all shone whilst it is really satisfying that our younger brigade and newbies all stood up and played their roles.
  24. I purposely stayed off the SwansV Dees pregame thread and game day thread, however having tipped the Dees to win, it was just so good to be sitting at the G watching a huge fantastic victory over a team that has had our measure. We arrived early had lunch in the eatery called the Paddock on ground level, then wandered up to our seats on Level 1. Lots of familiar faces but there was a difference everyone was smiling and chatting away, got a few friendly waves and smiles as we settled into our seats, lots of kids in their Dee colours around us, warms the spirits. Then it was on, building steadily through the 1st, 2nd and third too many points but we were winning all over the ground . Max lead the charge backed by Kozzie on fire, Claz smokin, Tracc being Tracc, Salo turned back the clock, Ed linking up, Bowey Wowey all day, Riv, The Duke, XL, Bison and Chin working hard, Steven, Rick, the Judd and Disco doing their thing, Milkshake, Fritta, Spaz and Petts putting on a Master class, Spargs in everything until felled unfairly, AJ was throwing his weight around and with some deft touches assisted with at least four goals that I counted. Then enter Harry Sharpe’s just as the game really heated up and he added two and assisted with a couple more in our frenzied eight goal last quarter to finally put the game well out of the Swans reach despite their final five. The game just kept going and going I said to my daughter what’s going on, she said it’s almost 40 minutes, Melksham kicks a miracle goal and finally the siren sounds and we sing the song repeatedly then watch Tracc carried off by Salo and Clayton. Bravo Dees. It was an animated trip home with the fam and two grandkids, that was one to remember. ❤️💙👍😁
  25. I said it before and I’ll say it again Petracca, Oliver and Pickett are going nowhere.❤️💙🙏
