Love Richo gives just enough to hold your interest, they obviously understand where and why we fell down in the finals last year, liked the way he hosed down expectations on JVR whilst pumping him up for future. Maybe someone there reads Demonland.!!

My thoughts are that for us to continue to improve we need Rivers, Bowey, Sparrow and Jordon, to take the next step in their evolution as AFL players and Chandler, JVR, Turner, Howes, Laurie and Woewodin to step up to AFL level. This along with the excellent recruitment of Grundy, Hunter and Schache will provide the necessary refresh to the team to keep us in the hunt for No.14.!!!

Oh yes and of course the Russians.!!!!

What about the Persians, Romans, Ottomans, Angles, Saxons, Scandanavian Hordes, Normans, Spanish, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Belgians, Spanish, Germans, Japanese and Italians weren’t they a tad self serving.!!!

Pheww huge thanks to Demonland, Slartibartfast, DeeSpencer and all posters love the training reports and inputs, always interesting when a couple of high skilled unknowns roll up and cause a bit of confusion as well. Be nice to pick up one of those two in the Draft.!!!

The training reports and now the interviews with Lachie and him now saying that he is starting to feel at home at the club and that he loves the tactical game. I am finding myself a little more drawn to him as a Melbourne player !!!!!!

Good article in the Hun today re: JVR they consider that BBB will find it difficult to displace him from the 23.!!!

I love the idea of Jake Lever and CP5 my only knock on Jake is that he is suffering injury issues and the club need to get that sorted asap. Whereas with CP5 he is already a team leader but would the captaincy affect his game style. Max’s durability will help decide the issue as a number of our current leaders may be in their twilight years when Max gives up the captaincy.!!!

Yes RBG both Joel Smith and Blake Howes around the 190 cm mark (6’3”) med talls both good marks and both are quick and capable when fit, our quill runneth over, coaches have no excuses for not changing up the team to get the best fit against different teams. I felt that Swans and Dockers exploited our lack of height last year.!!

Sorry 58er I didn’t count our regular fit talls in that equation.!! But you are correct when you add in Max, Disco, Steven May, Harrison Petty and Jake Lever, if they all bear fruit we are in for one helluva ride.!!!!!

I received one for Xmas, I stuck it on my number plate holder looked real schmick it recenty came into contact with the garage door so looking for a replacement.😢

Agree TL now that we have our list better balanced we can be very selective in 2023 / 2024 but yes need to get them into the team as soon as they are match ready we need to keep improving our bottom eight players. If we want to win more flags and stay at the top. !!!!

To my mind we have gone from Rags to Riches with regards to Talls. We lost LJ, Mitch Brown, our back-up ruckman, Thommo was coming back from ACL plus we weren’t sure that TMac or BBB would make full recoveries in time for 2023. I felt that we were extremely exposed prior to the Trade / Draft period, then miraculously in waltzes Brodie Grundy AA Ruck, Josh Schache 200cm back up fwd / ruck / defender, Matthew Jefferson 195 cm future Star forward, Jed Addams 196 cm future star defender, Rookie Will Verral talented 200cm ruck / forward plus Cat B Rookie Kyah Farris - White 206cm Ruckman ex basketballer.plus Rookie Ollie Seston a real Smokey power fwd.!!! On top of this haul we have a fully fit Adam Tomlinson 195cm Utility, Jacob van Rooyen young tough and talented 194 cm Fwd that is ready to go Plus our Premiership star forwards in TMac and BBB building beautifully for 2023. Now thinking back on my anxiety during those last to Finals and knowing that LJ had checked out I could not have wished for a better Trade / Draft period to help keep us at the top of the heap. Plus a strong hand for 2023 Draft Period, I follow MFC am I dreaming.!!!!!
